Phở Tái / Rare Flap Meat Pho
    Trevor N.

I truly do not want to hurt their great ratings, because the food is genuinely good. The broth is very tasty, and this is coming from someone who is Vietnamese and absolutely loves pho. The space itself is beautiful. It feels new, airy, and open, with high ceilings and plenty of parking, which makes coming here very easy and comfortable. That said, I do want to share one small but honest experience. The background music was stuck in a very short loop, about fifteen seconds long, repeating over and over. Sitting through that for around thirty minutes honestly felt a bit like a torture chamber. I did mention it to the server, but unfortunately it was not fixed during my visit. Also, bean sprouts and basil are not automatically served and need to be requested. Even with those small issues, they really have a lot going for them. The broth alone is worth coming back for, and the restaurant has great potential. I genuinely hope they continue to improve, because this place could easily become a favor

3.5 stars but rounded up because I would go back. My friend and I came here for dinner on a Sunday evening. It was pretty quiet, so we were seated upon arrival. Food: I started with the avocado cheese wontons as I was surprised they weren't crab rangoons. They were pretty good. I would order them again. I ordered the vegetarian pho, and it was as I expected it. Service: Service was ultimately okay. Our server didn't check up on us during our meal at all. My vegetarian pho came out later than my friends regular pho as well. TL;DR - not bad food, a little slow service

Garlic noodles with beef 2/5 More butter taste than garlic. Beef was tough. Pork & Egg with Rice 2/5 Everything was a bit dry. Grilled pork with vermicelli 4/5 Good flavor, tender pork. Would have liked to have a little more protein, though.

One of my local favorites! I really love their flavors and the depth of the broth in their pho, i think the one that made my best friend get is like a dry rub noodle dish but then there's like a side of broth but we like to mix it together . The rice dishes are nice as well. We got a side of fries and coconut juice and that was delicious as well. Service is excellent and Ambience is perfect and cozy and to be honest there's not too many amazing pho places on this side of San Jose so it's great to have one near me.

One of my favorite Vietnamese spots in the Campbell area. San Jose is not too far from Campbell but if I'm feeling under the weather and not up to taking a drive, I make a stop at VPho I usually opt for the Vermicelli Bowl or the Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef and Pork Noodle Soup). The Bun Bo Hue is rich and fatty with a nice mild spice. If you aren't familiar with the flavor, it can be quite pungent but I generally enjoy the complexity of flavor of BBH compared to Pho. My partner usually goes for the Beef Pho. When you're under the weather, pho feels like a miracle cure. If you like chicken pho but prefer the darker meat cuts of chicken, check out their Free Range Chicken Pho. It's reminiscent of the chicken you would often find when eating a Vietnamese style chicken salad (Goi Ga).

Late night pho spot in Campbell?!? That's an automatic 3/5 minimum. Anything extra is just a bonus. Very surprised and excited that there's a pho restaurant that opens all the way til 10:30pm. I honestly didn't even care if it was good the day I walked in. Sometimes you just need a late night bowl on a cold day after a long day of work. The interior is deceivingly huge. The main dining room has super tall ceilings and they have booths quite literally everywhere. Tables are kind of high though. There's a more intimate dining room closer to the entrance by the bar. Service is nice. They're quick to order and come by a few times. It does feel kind of spooky because it's so empty and there wasn't music playing. The Safeway gas station lights also don't help the plaza look that inviting. Very convenient location though with plenty of parking. Ordered the house combination pho with fresh noodles which was a dollar ($1) upgrade. That stacked with the automatic 4% surcharge for credit cards brings the bowl up to $17.46 before tax. Really not a terrible price for this side of town. The noodles were great, meats were tasty, soup was lacking in depth. Not very beefy and didn't come out piping hot. It was still very enjoyable and I did finish. Overall, I can't quite push this to a 4/5 as there are better options in the area during the day time. It's right at a 3.5/5 for me (7/10). I would return and explore the rest of the menu when I'm lazy to drive across town. Great for the area. Food is a very respectable 3/5, half point bump for late hours every day. 11pm-3pm, 5pm-10:30pm at the time of this review. Hoping to update the review soon!

Couple thoughts: Ambience is amazing, usually pho places don't have the best seating arrangements and are cramped and crowded wjth hardly any seats. Vpho is very modern. Food was tasty and flavorful. Ordered the House Pho as well as the veggie broth. Your standard pho, thought they were a tad short on the meat. The table was a bit unstable, which was annoying but we dealt with it. The service here is not very fast. There was only 1-2 people on the clock and the restaurant was less than 20% full and it took a really long time to get the bill as well as utensils/ other items we wanted. Wish they had more staff.

I love coming here on my days off to fill up on this pho and I always get an extra serving of egg noodles. I don't know if it's authentic pho, but I really like it; I'm literally obsessed with this soup. It's a nice spot, and there's parking nearby. I love sitting outside because the internet doesn't work inside. Or does it? I didn't ask. The staff here are very polite and friendly. I recommend it if you like rich, hearty soups with plenty of meat.

Within easy walking distance of plenty of parking and a parking garage if you don't find anything on the street nearby . Reservations were easy to make and they had a cute light up Happy Birthday sign waiting on the table! The ambiance was dark but had great ambient lighting . I loved the green velvet booths and decor , which evoked old Hollywood glamour ! Tables were set up in way that you didn't have to maneuver around them to get to the bathroom which was roomy and clean! There was a bat and lounge area to one side and seated dining on the other , Our server Camille was amazing ! So attentive and her timing got delivering each Sri name course was on point . Birthday girl asked for suggestions a fruity house cocktail. Instead of just rattling off the fruity drinks, she asked questions to personalize a suggestion and described each drink! The food was fresh and presented nicely. One of my friends and I decided to each order the poke tacos . I loved them! Even though it was probably an appetizer is the right amount for a light meal. My friends ordered the Korean spice chicken and pan seared salmon and they both complimented their meal. I can't remember the all the names-of the drinks except for the Miami Vice the birthday girl ordered . We also got her one that was served lit on fire ! I w myself was happy that they served Ballast Point Sculpin on draft! The lava cake was served with strawberries and delicious! The birthday girl even got a bowl of ice cream, a candle and huge sparkler to hold while we sang happy birthday . I debated rating on my 4 stars for the noise level , but honestly , I can't fault the restaurant for parties having fun . It's a testament to venue excellence! One table though seamed to communicate in hysterical screams every time they had a new drink served. Great place for groups, drinks and easy reservations! My friend used OpenTable) . Will definitely return.

This is a review for their weekday Bar & Lounge Happy Hour (Tue - Thu 5pm - 10pm... yes, you read…read morethat right... all night Happy Hour). After our first visit last night, I think it's safe to say it is probably the best Happy Hour offering in the SF South Bay. Good quality, good value, great service and nice club/lounge ambiance. Here's what we shared food-wise... * HH Garlic Noodles -- This didn't quite meet my expectation. Described as a "perfectly cooked pasta tossed in rich garlic butter", what we got was more like a soft udon type noodle with a rather starchy garlic sauce. The taste was definitely very garlicky, but the dish could have been much better with an al dente pasta tossed in an actual garlic butter or olive oil. * HH Wagyu Smash Burger -- This was yum! Great flavor, nicely grilled served on a toasted soft brioche bun. ($15 on HH versus $32 witha side of fries on the Dinner Menu :o) * HH Hamachi Crudo -- This was superb! Fresh generous slices of yellowtail topped with sliced lemon, jalapeno, tobiko and microgreens, perfectly matched with Ponzu sauce. ($12 on HH for 4 pieces versus $23 for 5 pieces on the Dinner menu) * HH Crab Cakes -- 2 medium sized blue crab cakes with diced mango and spicy aioli. Pretty decent for $14. * HH Crispy Brussels Sprouts -- Good standard fare. For drinks, we enjoyed... * HH Weather Pinot Noir -- Our server, Mikayla, said it was her favorite wine on the HH menu. It was very nice. * HH Mango Deck -- Reposado, Jalapeno syrup, lime and mango puree with a 151 rum flambee. Great drink if you like sweet, sour and spicy... and it comes with a show as the 151 rum is lit. Will definitely return. Would love to try the HH Grand Seafood Tower with oysters, yellowtail and salmon sashimi, shrimp and lobster ($65 on HH) which we saw another table order. Looks like a great place for a larger party celebration too.

I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. For food, we went with the drip trio platter which came with fresh pita bread pieces, and the drip trio of hummus with roe on top, chilled tzatziki, and muhammara. Then we moved on to the oysters which were fresh, will a dressing of an herb oil of some sort. They also had a complementary palette cleanser in between which was a shot of watermelon and orange juice. For maincourse, my husband went for the tagliatelle and I chose the ravioli, both choices were corroborated by our server to be the right ones to go for. The tagliatelle is expensive because of the lobster and caviar that it comes with. However, the pasta is delicious and comes in a decadent sauce. Not a lot of lobster pieces though. The ravioli had a robust mushroom flavor and came with a light sauce of mushrooms, crispy fried shallots, and pine nuts. We skipped dessert because we were pretty full already. Would definitely recommend this place for a cozy dinner out but it's quite expensive so might not be a place to go to frequently.
