Came here with my boyfriend to try out a new spot and we were pretty happy with our meal. The vibes of the store were modern but cozy? I loved the fact that the tables weren't crowded together and we were able to have our own little bubble. Our waitress was super kind & attentive - I believe her name was Kate :). We were seated quickly and after ordering, we waited maybe 5-10 minutes before our food arrived. I ordered the combination house pho with fresh noodles, my boyfriend ordered the rib pho as well as the Saigon Wings. #19 Combination Pho was pretty good, the broth was great and the portion wasn't bad at all! The Saigon Wings were a little more breaded than we expected but they were good. A few were a little dry but that's alright. My son loves this place. We both ordered the chicken Pho/#26 and it was very good, which cane with thin noodles or fresh noodles. The pho here is easily a 4/5 and possibly a 5. I had 4 issues with the service/older Asian lady running the floor: 1) My son and I were the only second customers there and she was going to put right next to the other people already there. I asked if we can get one table away to have some space. She said she put next to the others since it's colder where I wanted. And I thought ok I guess that's reasonable even though I still wanted one table away. 2) Then she gives us ice waters and then I thought what happened to being concerned about our warmth. If anything, she could've asked if we wanted water with ice or no ice. 3) She dropped off the pho and I didn't see the plate of mint and bean sprouts. When she asked if everything was ok I asked about the mint and sprouts. She said I could bring you some and it's only by request. Really, you could have asked and she said I could have too . Man! This was my first experience with pho that didn't come with the mint and sprouts. 4) I drank half my water and my son didn't touch his. She walked to the other table to offer more water and didn't even bother asking us. 5) Last but not least, I paid $8 for this boba topped with ice. Are you kidding me? C'mon man! New restaurant with promising reviews so I had to try it! Place is spacious with high ceilings and a beautiful mural covering an entire wall. We got chicken pho, fried rice with chicken, noodles with chicken and avocado cheese Rangoon. Avocado cheese Rangoon: crispy with a rich filling. Tiny portion but reasonably good. Chicken pho: did not come with the customary sides of basil, jalapeño and sprouts. The broth was light and chicken was tough. Most restaurants struggle with cooking the white chicken meat just right in the pho and this place was no different. Fried rice and noodles: combining them as both of came with the same grilled chicken thrown on top. This was dark meat chicken which tends to stay moist and soft compared to white meat. VPho is short for "Vphonemenal", I figured it out while observing the restaurant and seeing the neon sign on the wall. I am happy I picked this restaurant for dinner, after our drive out to Monterey, It was a long drive and by the time we got to San Jose, most of Vietnamese restaurant I had on my list, had already close except for VPho which closes later. I must admit I was having doubts of going to this restaurant, but I am glad. Thanks Yelp, besides closing time I went with the 4.5 star ratings and that I saw they have lobster pho!! Old place was bad. This place will survive in a good way! The beef and rice dish I posted a photo of was really tasty the chicken as well. Grilled! Very impressed with this new Vietnamese spot in a Campbell strip mall. Located next to Safeway, the interior is spacious and nicely decorated. There are several booths and some additional tables that were moved together to accommodate 2 large groups. The menu has a couple of vegetarian options (fried tofu appetizer, vegetable bun dim sum, and vegetarian pho. We ordered all of these, as well as a vermicelli noodle bowl that removed the au lac sauce and the spring roll. Unfortunately there is no vegetarian option for spring roll or summer roll, but the waiter told us that there has been a demand for them and the owner is looking into putting some more veg options. The fried tofu was better than expected - a soft fluffy tofu with a crispy coating. We had it with the sweet and sour sauce. The bun was also decent. The pho was the main event for me, and boy did it deliver! The broth had a depth of flavor often missing in veggie pho. Surprising given the few veg options, but very welcome. There's also some DIY pho options that allow you to build your own bowl and put in different toppings. There were some additional veggies offered in this list, including bok choy. The vegetarian pho came with fried tofu as well as a mock meat (not sure if seitan or soy, but was delicious). If you've got this, you can definitely put it in some rolls - and I'm excited to try when you do! Will bump up to 5 stars once more veggie options are added and service kinks are ironed out. Came to this new pho shop in Campbell and was really impressed on how the deco of the restaurant looks inside. The service was really good and they came around quite frequently to check up on me. Unfortunately I have to minus a star because of the food. The wings were really salty. It had a soy and fish sauce flavor that was just too overwhelming. I did like the crispness of the wings tho. And the bbh had good flavors but too salty as well. They also did not have all the meats that traditionally comes with this dish. First off, I was blown away by how much food was within each order and loved that everything was kept separately contained for us to create our Pho, in the proportions we desired. As a self-proclaimed pho-natic who's tried pho all over the world, I came in with high expectations but unfortunately, V Pho is not the place to get pho. I ordered the phở đặc biệt, as you usually do, and several fundamentals were missing. The water was served without ice or lemon or orange which may seem minor, but it's part of the overall dining experience. It's traditional. More importantly, the broth was not piping hot, which is essential for properly cooking the meat. Speaking of which, the meat arrived still raw, rather than gently cooked through by the broth. Pho lives and dies by temperature and balance, and this missed the mark on both. Lastly, noodles were too soft and overcooked breaking apart. Overall, the experience felt incomplete and underwhelming. There's potential here, but based on this visit, I wouldn't return for pho. read more

When I saw Slow Cooked Oxtail Pho on the menu, I had to check out VPho. I had been to this place 100 times but never tried anything there. After reading so many good reviews, I decided to check them out. Unfortunately, I set the bar too high. The portion size was fine for one person, but the broth was average. As for the oxtails? I got three pieces, two of which were the bony, skinny tail tips that were chewy, flavorless, and lacked seasonings. So much for believing all the hype. read more

Ordered two chicken pho with fresh noodles the other day for the in laws. They were delicious! Flavorful and I love how I didn't see fat bubbles in the broth. I wanted some clean delicious pho for the in laws and I could tell they liked it. They weren't feeling food from a cold and they felt much better the next day and the hubs said it's from the pho lol. The menu is very extensive from Pot Stickers, Avocado Cheese Ragoons to Lobster Surf and Turf Pho. Tonight, I had the Supreme Shaken Beef, Cheese & Avocado Rangoon with a Thai Ice Tea with Pearl. Really Good! I saw what others had ordered and everything looked really great. The service was attentive and all employees worked as a team to provide Superior Service. The only negative thing was the menu showed a Trio Sorbet as a dessert item. This is one of my favorite top desserts! The server was very nice and told me upfront they didn't have any. I'm not going to deduct this as sometimes restaurants run out of things. The ambience was clean, nicely spaced tables, and family friendly with great parking. The menu is your typical Vietnamese pho restaurant but they do have some specialty dishes. We ordered the pho special and the shaking beef rice plate with egg rolls. I'd pass on the egg rolls. I'm convinced it wasn't full cooked. The taro was a little chewy still. The pho wasn't great and it tasted gamey. My bf isn't picky with his food but for him to say it's not good then it's truly a skip for us. I like the rice plate but was a little disappointed the beef were in small pieces. I think other places does bigger cubes. Not sure if we'll be back yet. But there's plenty of parking and bathroom is clean. Idk if I've never seen oxtail Pho before but I've definitely never had and I love Kare Kare and oxtail It was amazing. $1 for fresh rice noodles. Food 7/10 Average pho. Standard spring rolls. I mean nothing crazy to rave about but food is good based on what I've had before. Ambiance 7/10 Came in at 7:15pm on a Tuesday and it was an absolute ghost town when we entered. Then while we ate only 1 other party came in. In terms of decor the place looks actually really nice. I'd recommend installing more lighting because I thought they were closed when driving into the parking lot lol. Service 8/10 Waitress was kind, friendly, and polite. Only problem was that we ordered an appetizer and we were not given plates to eat on. Since they were handheld food items it wasn't a big issue for us. Smell 1/10 (first time adding this as a grading item) Like 25% through our meal we started smelling like a sewer bathroom grimy nasty smell. This was very very bad. Ruined my entire experience. I typically finish all the food I order no problem but at one point I just wanted to leave my food, pay the bill, and leave! Unfortunately, service was horrible for dinner. Three out of five of my party were served fairly quickly. The server noticed about 7 or 8 minutes later that two of us never got our food so she put in another order for two more bows of pho. About 5 minutes later only one bowl came out. I informed the server that we were still missing a bowl. So, she put in ANOTHER order. Came to find out that one of the other servers took my bowls of pho for her table. I probably waited a good 15 minutes after everyone was served...not acceptable. The rib meat was not cooked long enough and was not "fall off the bone" like it should be. However the broth was good. My daughter and I tried this place. We ordered 2 chicken phos. They came and my daughter and I was given beef broth. We told the waitress and she argued with us that it was chicken broth. After a lot of back and forth she takes our bowls and brings back 2 more phos. As she turns around i looked down and see a big hair sitting on top. Really hot night but my guy and I saw this place and decided to try it. The place was pretty much empty which definitely made sense since it was an extremely hot weather. We ordered the beef pho and rib pho, dim sum and Korean hotdogs. Dim sum was ok. Small portion, nothing fancy bout it. Korean hotdogs are not my favorite. Rib soup was good. Broth had good flavor. This is my new favorite pho restuarant. The veggie pho leaves nothing to be desired! I added shrimp one time, and it just wasn't nessesssary at all. That's how complete the broth is. I added siracha once, and regretted it. Again, the broth just doesn't need it. As far as the veggie pho is concered, all you need is your chopsticks, your spoon and your mouth! Leave all those other condiments alone! The shrimp spring rolls were okay. I've been here several times and have only ordered them once. I also enjoyed one of their fish bowl drinks once. Had a pho craving but needed to find a vietnamese restaurant with outdoor seating because i had my dog with me. Yelp lead me to this place which had good reviews. The food itself was good but the environment wasn't the greatest which was surprising (considering it looked nice except for a beat up overstuffed red mercedes in the corner of the parking lot). Someone robbed the safeway next door by taking a case of white claws and he ran right by us lol it was 20-something looking young caucasian. he didn't look unhoused. he looked decently dressed. then there were two sketch caucasian guys that kept trying to talk to me, my cousin (a guy) and my cousin's teen daughter. One of the guys (elderly gentleman) kept trying to make jokes and the other younger guy was saying "don't tell them i'm banned from that store." When we got our food and were eating, the younger guy comes by again asking we saw the old man because the old man was supposed to buy him groceries at safeway (because he's banned from there) and then get him food. We just kept saying idk where he is. then the guy comes back again and my cousin just got fed up and kindly but firmly told the guy that "we're hungry and we're just trying to enjoy our food so if he could please leave." after that he didn't come back, but the older gentleman came back and asked to pet my dog but i said "no" and luckily my dog started barking a lot. long story short, food is good (a bit on the pricey side) but i'd come back. server was kind and attentive but i did have to go in to ask for a water refill. the cups they gave us were the cups that normally hold hot tea, so they were small. i'm definitely eating inside though. too much random craziness happening outside. read more
