I was just there, i ordered two items with chicken, two minutes later after i payed, Marissa the cashier told me they didn't have chicken done, I asked for one of the items to be just steak and to cancel the other item, i received the food, Marissa forgot she needed to refund me the second item, then she called a tall guy ( the cook) because she didn't know how to refund, the guy was out of his mind! he said if he would give me the refund he would lose his job? and i told him it's only fair to get a refund on the item i canceled, he needed to call the manager, it was a mess, he totally didn't explain himself, he was not all the way there, he seemed drugged, so did Marissa and another very short girl. Since we live nearby, we were eating here at least once a week. There's been something wrong each time. No restaurant is going to be perfect, but this time, we will NEVER be back. Around 10$ per person for LEFT OVER meat! It smelled so bad the kid wouldn't eat it. Sometimes you want something healthy so the price is not the final issue. Small quantities of rice, meat, and vegetables was disappointing. It reminds me of school or hospital servings. Then rude people behind the counter made matters worse. Ok, so my family is in the process of moving and needed a quick hot dinner. So we checked out the reviews from WaBa grill ok good similar to flame broiler ok. So we tried the steak plate and the salmon bowl. Now let's state the good, the portions are very generous. The staff was was helpful and polite. Now the bad my meat had no flavor. Like meat was tossed on a grill without a hint of seasoning or marinate. My rice was overcooked mush. The special sauce was confusing like it wanted to be sweet and tangy, but forgot how to get there. I will opt next time just to drive to flame broiler. read more

Came here with the family for sunday dinner. So glad that opened in Apple Valley. The place is very clean. Our cashier was friendly and helpful. I ordered the salmon plate with brown rice and she suggested adding on avocado. I don't know what kind of dressing was on it, but the kale salad on the plate was delicious especially with avocado. Love that they offer a kids size bowl. Hubby ordered a beef bowl with white rice. The vegetables were steamed, but still crunchy. This place is so much better than The Flame Broiler because they offer more choices and the food is better prepared. read more

Food is decent, not usually busy. However the last two times I have went in there the service has been less then stellar. I asked this time for the plastic containers to put some of the waba sauce in, she said I put two packets in your bag, yes I like extra though. She gave me one more and walked away. This is the worst Waba Grill location I have been too. I live close by and I've been there numerous times before but these last couple of months have been TERRIBLE. The workers all look like they're fresh out of high school and act like it. Just goofing off in the back, talking, and working at a slow pace like there isn't a care in the world. The rice was soooo soggy I guess following instructions too cook rice was too hard for them to comprehend. The chicken was burnt to a crisp and every other bite there was a crunch. We were supposed to get steak after ordering online but when we showed up 30 min later they say they were out and tried to "call us". Again not taking anything serious just goofing off. Everybody there deserves to either be fired or some type of write up. Trust me on this you're better off going somewhere else. Try organic fusion tea house. WAY BETTER. All Waba Grill locations in the high desert have dropped significantly in customer service and food quality. Management needs to get their act together. read more

Unacceptable to leave a customer on hold for 10 mins when trying to place an order! I was all the way across town and wanted to give them plenty of time to make my order and was placed on hold. At about 5 mins into my hold I heard someone walk in and order and a few mins later I heard them leave, while I was still on hold. I showed up to the location still on hold! I have given this place way too many chances because I like their food but if management keeps these lazy employees who have no customer service skills I can imagine how many customers they will lose. read more

I went to WaBa Grill to eat some lunch after a hard working morning... and was greeted by a young man he took my order and he repeated it twice to make sure that was what I ordered he had a great customer service and had a smile on his face..after waiting a few minutes The food was piping hot because it just came off the grill once I sat down at my table I dived in the bowl and let me tell you it tasted great just like I wanted it to... Terrible. The girls at the counter are rude and have no customer service whatsoever. About ten minutes after I made my order I was notified that they did not have any chicken or steak at all and that it would "be a while" I told the girl that was okay and she annoyingly yelled to her coworker "she said that's fine!" So after 30 more minutes of waiting while they cussed at eachother and we're blaring music on her personal phone I went to check on the order where I was informed that the chicken wasn't even done and they still had to start the steak, I said it's okay I'll just get a refund instead. She informed me that it would be 4 days for a refund to post and after I said that would be okay they told me that no one in the store knows how to do a refund. They took my information so the owner could do it the next day and I left the store after about 45 minutes with no food and no refund. No call from the owner, no refund and here we are a week later. The girls made it clear that they didn't want me there and made the whole thing extremely uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. I've tried to get in touch with the owner and he's never there. The facility was pretty dirty when I arrived but I shrugged it off because I totally understand how food chains can get busy and backed up. But when I arrived to the front I had to wait a while and when I was finally greeted by a cashier she looked very impatient and rushing my order. It took the cook a while to come out the the front from the back of the kitchen and once the cashier made my bowl she rushed back towards the back of the store. Seems like there's something more important back there that's causing these workers to make the customer feel so rushed to order. I come to WaBa often so I thought nothing of it at first because the food is always good but this time my chicken was so dry and hard barely any sauce. What set me to make this review wasn't just the food quality but I realized there was what I believe to be a manager in the back too. It's crazy to think even with supervision in the restaurant you get treated and served food this way. I think I'll be going to a different WaBa instead if I have to drive a few more miles so be it. read more

I know this review will not mainstream because of the rating of one star, I am very tempted to lie and provide this WaBa grill with 5 stars for the soul reason that more people can see my experience eating here today. Which truly is one of the worst experiences I've had in restaurant establishments. Amy. An associate whom is very unwelcoming, very unapproachable mind you this first impression is because of her demeanor and attitude towards my family and I, need the entire company be reflected because of one associates attitude. Your store locations success is being limited by an individual and that is very disappointing to see. Up until I found the associates hair in my food I did not say anything , I then asked my wife to show the associate the hair in my food, the associate took the food and went away with out saying anything at all, I wanted to know what was going on so I inquired as She had given no polite effort or apology, she said she toss the food and she'll make it again , I then waited for the meal to be prepared again only to be completely ashamed that I went into this location. As far as you can see the Waba Grills in the high desert are becoming way stingier.They use to have the little cups for us to take us much as we want but NOW THERE FOR DINE IN ONLY AND NO LIDS.I dont know if they belong to a franchise or owner or whatever you want to call it.Not that long ago i stopped by and one of their employees named Emily was so nice and great and i would always ask her for sauce and she would happily give me some.I was lucky i always went in when she was there.I went in last week and they only gave me one packet of sauce per bowl.I ordered 4 bowls and the girl only gave me one per my 4 bowls and i asked for more and she only gave me 4 more and I got so mad and i said WHATTTT ?? I AM NEVER COMING BACK TO this crappy LOCATION SUCH BULL**** THAT We only get one packet per bowl.I also asked the girl what happened to emily but she said she no longer worked there and i wonder why prob the stingy pay.I Rather go to the one in bear vally the people are so nice and the manager is always happy to serve us and they are closer to my job.The store manager from bear valley takes care of her customers and makes sure they leave happy not like the APPLE VALLEY LOCATION.The apple valley is closer to my house but wont be coming back.So my question is to who ever this place belongs to is it for the customers OR FOR YOU Guys to keep??? because its very ridiculous that we only get one per bowl.I would give this place 0 stars but i cant.Im really dissapointed in how low they have come too. read more

New location in Apple Valley. This was my first time eating at a Waba Grill, but I heard good things. I ordered the Steak Plate to eat there. Not a long wait for my food after I placed the order. I like that you can see the cooks prepare the food. The menu is small but straight forward, really like that as well. All the staff was very nice and they all great you as you walk in. Again, the location is new so the decor and place over all was very clean. The food was very good. The meat was good quality and the rice was steamed to perfection. The salad was delicious. Nice crisp lettuce. The orange and melon was a nice treat. I will definitely go there again for sure. read more

Horrible Customer Service. Filed a complaint against a rude employee and have yet to hear from anyone. They charged me for a meal I didn't get, instead I got a side of "attitude" when my order was not ready on time. Will never give that specific location my business. I went to Subway and in under 5 minutes they had a fresh salad made for me. I am not the only one where I work at that has had a negative experience with the employee and with this location.
