I live like 2 minutes away from this place and decided to stop by on the way home. I normally eat Flamebroiler down the street but decided to try this place out. So I ordered a chicken bowl and a side salad. It is kind of expensive but I like it better than flamebroiler because the chicken is more moist than flamebroiler's chicken. Their side salad is way better too because they serve greener salads compared to flamebroiler which serve you lettuce head salad hahaha. This is probably my second favorite place...MY favorite would have to be Yamas in Huntington beach. read more

This is by far the best waba I've been to. It is always consistent with the way they cook their chicken and it's very good.

Always amazing. We always get double chicken on kale Salad and a side of avocado and these guys have the flavor down perfect. They are always polite, professional and courteous. The Manager was extremely rude when I tried to pay with my phone and refused to take my Samsung pay as a form of payment. He said "Apple pay doesn't work" and I told him "it's not apple pay, I have used this at many other waba grill's. It works." Yet he still refused and then mentioned a story of how people come in with stolen identity's or another person's phone app to pay for their food, like he was accusing me of having a stolen phone and trying to pay with it. I go here several times a month, since I work pretty close. The employees are all really friendly and the place is kept pretty clean. It does not get too packed during the lunch hours which I love because I hate waiting. If you want to eat really healthy, go here and order the meat without sauce. Get brown rice or substitute rice with steamed vegetables. Healthy! Hard to find true healthy foods these days that still tastes good. But also note that the beef is pre-marinated so that could be slightly unhealthy. read more

I love waba grill,so far this is my best teriyaki rice bowl place and then its Fiji Grill. I go there very often especially right after school and I ALWAYS order the chicken veggie bowl and I'm not tired of it yet. Its not inexpensieve seriously. The manager is cool. read more

Found this by accident and my wife and I love it. She loves it because she can get white chicken meat for her rice bowl. Most places mix dark and white chicken meat. The service is fast and the food is good. read more

Most definately the best teriyaki franchise ive been to. Have been coming here for the past 3 years and their food always tastes so fresh. Their meat is very tender and seasoned perfectly. I just tried this place because I had a free drink coupon with any purchase. I got the chicken bowl. The white rice is the same as any teriyaki place. The chicken was ok but I think Flame Broiler's meat was much better. I think the portion size was pretty generous for the price paid and I would say it has the equal amount or if not more than Flame Broiler bowls. What is interesting about this place is that they offer salmon bowls which is not common among these places. Overall I would say its an average chicken bowl joint. If I had a choice, I would eat Flame Broiler any day over this place. read more

Make no mistake when you walk in, this is feels like a fast food place. You go up to a counter to order, the food shows up quick, and you have to self serve your own soda. The service is exactly what you expect (I'm waiting for the phrase, "Would you like fries with that order?") They have big posters of food choices. And of course, the order by number. (I'll take value meal #8, please.) However, the food is not fast food. Its better! I ordered the salmon plate with brown rice. Their salmon is cooked just right, not over cooked. The teriyaki sauce was fien. Tangy, salty and sweet. The green onions are fresh,crunchy and a highlight (but you must love green onions.) The brown rice is brown rice. There's just not much to say about rice except that its healthy. Tastes like it too! The salad has a crunch, and they are generous on the dressing. Overall, this place is a great alternative to the fast food meal. You get a fast food price, but real food taste. read more

The food was okay. I got the steak beef veggie bowl with avocado. I went with 6 friends. It took over 10 minutes to even order our food with the Cashier saying "can you wait." AfterWe all waited 20+ minutes but for myself I waited over 30 minutes to get my food. My friends were finished eating by the time I even got my food. The steak was too charred. The entire staff was disorganized and taking too long for everyone in the entire restaurant. Didn't seem like a manager was even there. Not coming back, I'll stick to flame broiler. read more

Last Friday night, my daughter and granddaughter came from Northern California, and they were going to the Angels game. So we were driving around Fullerton and I suggested we try Waba grill. It was a disappointment. I was hoping to find good pieces of beef, but unfortunately, it was the worst beef dish we've ever have. It was worst than beef bowl. It was thinly sliced and dried strings of beef. To top it off the rice was dried and undercooked. I approached the girl behind the counter and ask to speak to a manager but she pointed to another girl there. So I proceeded to tell her that the rice was undercooked, and she wasn't even apologetic about it. She wasn't professional to be a lead or manager. She told me that it couldn't be true that it was undercooked because it was cooked in a rice cooker. Didn't even offer to replace it . I told her that it was dry and uncooked because it wasn't cooked with enough water. Just the worst restaurant we ever had. Some restaurant we liked for quality and quantity of the food For the price we paid is Noodle World and Ono Hawaiian Bbq. We get a lot for food for the money. With Waba grill, the price is high n the quality is bad. It's even worst than flame broiler. I thought flame broiler wasn't that good because it downy compare to Ono Hawaiian Bbq. read more

Teriyaki chicken is done everywhere, but usually done poorly. Too sweet, or chicken is rubbery. However, Waba does the chicken perfectly! grilled firm but still juicy. And the special hot sauce is the perfect compliment. You can order fresh avocado on the side as well. I had kimchi last time i went, and taste good also. lastly it's asian rice--so it tastes legit. This place is great. I highly recommend this place when you're in the mood for a quick and healthy meal. The venue is very clean, you can tell that the staff here do a great job to keep the kitchen and eating area clean. Recommend getting the mixed plate to try out both the meat and the chicken.
