    Steak bowl
    Erika V.

They have great tacos. I ordered the steak bowl and was disappointed because the meat to rice ratio was very unbalanced. There was way more rice than meat and when I asked to get more meat they were going to charge me $6 more. Very upset

    Chicken bowl
    Jesse V.

The first impression is "TACOS," yes that's right. They advertise the new tacos they serve, but I wasn't there for that, I came in and ordered a chicken bowl to-go. The bowl itself was not bad, however the portion of the amount of chicken they serve you is so little. It seems like they are stingy with their meat. I would have to say if you're looking for a great chicken teriyaki bowl, go to Mos 2, you will not regret it.

    Love it yummy

Love it love this place great food Love this place nice and the workers are great mm

From looking at other reviews, it seems like I am not the only one that is complaining about the rice and meat ratio. The business still has not changed anything at all.

It would have earned 4.5 stars because I did not care for the deconstructed Bahn Mi (my son however raved about it) but everything else was excellent so it was an easy round up. Clean modern interior with on point and friendly staff. We were off rush hour so there was parking but it looks to be tight if things are busy The Food Garlic Noddle with Shrimp: So good. Fresh tasty shrimp with a nice slight char on them paired with rich garlicky noodles. Each could have stood on their own but together they were magic broccolini: nicely cooked and the roasted? garlic added a nutty element to them. Just the right amount of chili added a nice heat to it as well Spicy Wontons: I did not taste but looked fantastic and the table loved them. Why did I not get to taste them? I was distracted by the garlic noodles and my family attacked it like a pack of hungry wolves. By the time I circled back to them I was staring at an empty dish lol Beef belly: This ribbon like strips of beef belly severed almost bento style on rice. Surrounded by a tasty and fresh arrangement of toppings that paired perfectly with the beef. The egg had a glorious runny yolk and lets face it yolk soaked rice is one of life's better pleasures This was a great spot highlighting a modern take on Vietnamese fusion cuisine

First time visiting Nep as an avid Kei concepts fan. Got the Banh Mi Chao, Dry BBH, Mango sticky…read morerice Matcha, and blueberry matcha. The Banh Mi Chao had great flavor throughout. Well put together deconstructed Banh Mi. I liked the flavors and it was fairly heavy for breakfast. The bread had great texture as well. My only complaint was there was little to no sear on the filet at all. That would've taken the dish over the top. The noodles were solid but nothing crazy. The mango sticky rice matcha was very unique - never had anything like it. It wasn't super strong though. Price was very fair for the entire meal which makes the overall experience 5 stars. Will definitely be back if looking for viet breakfast in the fountain valley area.

Crispy calamari: Loved how lightly battered it was and it definitely was crispy. Also, the portion was pretty generous! It's good enough for 2-3 people for sure Kimchi fried arancini: We weren't sure what to expect with this dish despite the description, but we were pleasantly surprised. It reminded us of a potato ball with kimchi and spam inside. We loved the texture and flavor, and the fried egg aioli it sat on top of was great as well Gochujang pork belly: We wished the pork belly was just a bit crispier. The flavor was fantastic though! And while I understand the mashed potatoes are part of the fusion aspect, my husband and I both agreed that it would've been more amazing with rice instead, hahah Miso bacon carbonara: The udon texture was perfectly al dente and had such good bounce. I loved how creamy the sauce was too. However, I just wanted it so badly to be spicy! Some spice to this dish would've made it a 5/5 in my opinion Strawberry lychee ice cream: Meh. Compared to the delicious appetizers and entrees, this ice cream was just lackluster. No particularly strong flavor (even accounting for the fact that lychee is generally a weak flavor) and the consistency was more icy than creamy. Considering the price point ($10) for a scoop, I'd definitely not recommend it There's a decent amount of tables and it has a cozy feel inside. It can definitely get loud though since the sound bounces inside, especially when there's large/loud parties. The service was impeccable and our server was so quick and attentive. It runs a tad pricy, but I do feel like the quality of the food and service justifies it (minus the ice cream, lol). Overall, we had a great first experience and this place is definitely worth visiting :)

We were a little too trigger-happy with ordering (and everything wouldn't have fit in our table) but our server, Caitlyn, spaced everything to a tee. Started with the truffle bread. The honey is a must. As much as we loved it, I think it's better split among a bigger group (it was just the two of us). The crab roe pasta, the tomahawk porkchop were cooked perfectly. The star of the show for us was the seafood poke pizza. Instead of tomato sauce and traditional Italian toppings, the pizza leans toward sushi flavors: fresh seafood, creamy wasabi-infused sauce, seaweed, and sesame seasoning. The flavor profile is savory, slightly briny, creamy, and mildly spicy from the wasabi. It was a little unusual on the first bite, but it became increasingly delicious as we ate more of it. Highly recommending it for anyone looking for something out of the ordinary. Desserts : matcha berry tiramisu and the blueberry pavlova were . Drinks : lychee spritz and the sakura.
