When this location opened, it was really good. But has gone downhill ever since. But my last visit, I was less than impressed. Kind of disgusted. They cook all of the food ahead of time and leave it in metal containers under the counters. What the hell? It's NOT fresh at all. The chicken and steak were dry and rubbery. The staff have zero communication skills. But what do you expect? At least they have a lot of down time since the food is already cooked. The main issue is that when you order, they scoop rice in your bowl and then retrieve a lukewarm container of meat near the floor and serve it right up. What happened to cooking it when it's ordered like they used to?! I'm pretty sure that Waba Grill doesn't condone or endorse that kind of food preparation. There was NO-ONE near the grill the entire 30 minutes we were there. I'm not sure if it was even turned on... we could have eaten food from the day before. Who knows?? I won't be back to find out. Guys, customer service has left the building. I felt I was at the Seinfeld'soup nazi' episode. With this particular WaBa, I can always count on my food be prepped in a quick amount of time. I absolutely live off their 2 for 10.00 chicken bowls during the week. If I worked here I would've quit my job immediately. I love Waba grill & this is the newest location closest to my house. This location sucks. I tried to call in & they're phone was disconnected. Ok! that's fine so I go in & order a Tofu veggie bowl to go. JUST to come home to raw broccoli. WTH?! Don't you know when you steam broccoli you NEED water. See the photos attached. Take my advice & drive that extra 2 miles to another location. I would give this place another chance if I hadn't already visited here twice & received questionable service. Food is fresh and the staff is courteous. This place offers great healthy options for those who are health conscious. They do claim that they do not use any oil in their cooking which is reflected in the end result. However, there is oil in some of the dressings and sauces. Keep that in mind! First time trying out Waba Grill! I heard great things about the place and I finally got a chance! I got the half & half bowl (number 9) the staff were friendly and the store was bigger than how it looks from the outside! I was expecting similar taste as flame broiler but definitely was a better tasting! Their sauce was not as salty and their two type of hot sauce was very good (regular and louisiana)! They are having a opening special on fountain drinks for 99 cents (not sure for how long)! Since its close to my work I think I will be going here more often over fast food places! read more

We eat a lot of rice bowls from a local competitor, so I was glad to see another player enter the market. Another bonus--this location is conveniently located between two of my favorite stores Sprouts AND Liquorama! The dining room is modern, spacious, and super clean. They even have several flat screen TVs which were tuned to sports events during my visit. I ordered the usual half and half bowl for my hubby (beef and chicken) and for me, the salmon bowl--sheer delight! I rarely get seafood because the mister doesn't like it. Because salmon and shrimp are offered on Waba's menu, they have the advantage over the place we usually frequent. Definitely will be back! read more

Usually we like to eat here, however lately things have unfortunately changed. The chicken is dry and both the chicken and steak taste like the salmon they also serve. The ribs also tend to be very fatty. I hope that they clean their grill better so the fishy taste in no longer transferred to the rest of the food also possibly causing cross contamination of bacteria. Literally horrible gave them a try cause I was craving some steak and rice. Bought the food cam out to 17.30$ even got dumplings as well. When i got to my office to eat the food they did not put any green onions as asked there was two pieces of greens called a salad, half a orange not even cut normally and there was a piece of hair in my food. I have been a frequent customer of this location for many years. These last two visits have been awful. The new staff does not have it together. A week ago I ordered a sweet and spicy bowl and received a WaBa bowl instead. Then today I order a sweet and spicy bowl again and it's a WaBa bowl so instead of making me a new bowl they threw the sweet and spicy sauce on top. I let the girl know I didn't want the WaBa sauce (added calories ) and I also let her know they made the same mistake last time. The cook insisted on giving me the bowl with the WaBa sauce instead of making me a new one. The cook and cashier were arguing back and forth. I got so frustrated I walked out and left. This establishment needs to really consider the customers that keep them in business. Called in an order for the plant based steak bowl that is advertised and shown with broccoli and carrots. I came in to pick up my order.. after getting in the car and driving off I decided to take a bite. When I opened the bowl there was no broccoli or carrots. The plant based steak looked old. We've had this from other locations and it never looked this way. Beyond that I returned with the bowl and told the lady at the register that this isn't how this bowl comes. I even showed her the picture of the the three different selections offered. She went on to argue and said in most cases the customer is always right but not this one..wow. She told me that if I want it with veggies I have to ask for them. I then asked her does a happy meal at McDonald's always come with a toy ???.. or do you have to ask for it. She got pissed and walked away. If that wasn't enough she went in the back and proceeded to criticize me and my complaint.. I could still hear her as well as others from the counter. This is a shame. Do not order from this restaurant they will steal your money and give no explanation of who to contact regarding your order if they can't supply what you ordered. Place an order for three double chicken bowls with steamed rice. Restaurant somehow runs out of white rice which a staple item and that would be fine if they refunded my money but instead told me "you have to contact someone." Couldn't give me a number to contact or tell me their managers name instead kept my $47.00 and sent me home with nothing. This used to be a good WaBa with good service and consistently good food. Not anymore!!! The employees are mediocre and the food inconsistent. This is the second time I had to go back and exchange my all white meat chicken bowl. The chicken is dry, chewy and rubbery. I asked the cook if they are pre cooking the chicken and reheating as the bowls are ordered or if the changed chicken vendors. He said no but I know he is not being up front. We probably won't visit this location anymore. To the owner Hilario, you might want to pay a visit to this location and confirm how they are preparing the protein. Erika and all staff are very helpful and mindful. I visit frequently because of the food they provide, and I'm a bit picky. I normally order their chicken bowl and sometimes their pork dumplings that are quite tasty. I definitely recommend them if you haven't visited a WaBa Grill before. read more
