Chicken bowl w/brown rice and no teriyaki sauce.

Good location, plenty of parking, awesome and hard-working employees, good prices and of course, AWESOME food!

I placed an order online and picked up in store. Interior looked clean and the staff was helpful and asked if I wanted any additional sauces. I had a tofu mini bowl for the first time and I prefer tofu to chicken as my protein. It wasn't busy at all when I went. Overall an ok Waba Grill to go to.

Super fresh food that came out quickly. Juliana was my server and she was incredibly helpful, kind, and informative. I asked her about the different options and her opinions, and she pointed me in the right direction. I have found a new spot to eat while I'm at school at CPP. This place is phenomenal

Attention to detail here is lacking big time. Placed an online order for a chicken bowl, substitute for all white meat chicken (Paid the extra amount required). When I got home, I realized it was not white chicken at all. Just a bunch of sloppily cooked pieces of chicken fat and darker meat.

Sweet and Spicy chicken bowl with brown rice and veggies. Plus a side salad.

I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken bowl with brown rice. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. Also the customer service was GREAT. Thanks Waba Grill in Walnut!

    No good

I can't believe they would serve an avocado like this... paid extra for nothing !!! So upset. I called and no one answered....

    Half beef....half chicken..

I'm not a fan of my brother's last minute decisions as he's driving to pull up into a place and ask me if I'm hungry. I guess??? Don't I get to pick where I get to eat. He drives crazy too. Half beef... Half chicken... Beef portion was really tasty and enjoyable. Chicken although slightly dry was quite good. Service was good, place clean. Now back to my brother's crazy driving. Anyone got a helmet?

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Do not waste your time or money here…read more The moment we walked into Fu's Restaurant, it felt like stepping into a sauna. It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back. There are plenty of better places within the same plaza than to dine here. I don't expect this place to last long anyway.

I came in on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm, and my first impressions walking in was the interior is clean and pleasantly warm. I ordered the creamy mala seafood pasta since it was the most unique dish on the menu. Service was good but nothing special. Creamy mala seafood pasta, 2.5/5: The pasta was inoffensively average. There were some bites that were creamy and some bites that weren't. I honestly thought it could use more cream or butter to add some more richness. The pasta itself was al dente. There wasn't much flavor overall with the dish, and the mala was very mild (for reference, I can handle medium spice levels at other restaurants). The seafood quality was okay for the price. Overall, I thought the ambiance was really nice, but the pasta I ordered was average at best. Maybe I will give this place a 2nd chance and try something else.

Owners are so nice and cool, one is the chef and the other is a pastry chef. Atmosphere and vibes were nice in a Saturday evening, but food could be a bit better. Our server was friendly, and the other staff made sure we had our waters refilled. Along with great service, I enjoyed the food again. The drunken noodles were flavorful and not too spicy. Mixing the house fried rice with the yellow pumpkin curry was really delicious. You get a great blend of savory and sweet flavors. Portions are large, so we took leftovers home.

The restaurant has nice modern vibe and is inviting, service is quick and attentive. They even serve wine and beer to pair with your meal. Place is always bustling, but we usually don't have to wait long to get seated. All the dishes are fabulous and shareable. We absolutely enjoyed their papaya salad. Unlike Filipino pickled version, there's more like a salad. Dressing is perfectly balance and not too tart. I highly recommend it! Crispy Pork Belly is a great appetizer. It pairs well with the seafood sauce and cucumber salad that comes with it. Chicken satay is also tasty, really like the peanut sauce. The pad thai noodle with chicken is solid as well as Pad Wood Sen (glass noodles). I love the wide noodles they use on Pad See Ew, it helps absorb a lot of savory flavors from garlic and soy sauce. Salmon Panang is delightful and comforting; rich, creamy, slightly spicy and packed with flavor. It's served with a side of white rice. Also, Red Curry Beef is terrific, curry flavor is on point and perfect. Their special Garden Trout is very good. It's basically fried fish topped with mango herb salad which everyone loves. I thought spicy catfish was ok, bit spicy for my palette. The house fried rice and stir fried seasonal vegetables are good accompaniment to your meal. Mango Sticky Rice is so divine and perfect way to cap off your meal. Mangos are always ripe and sweet, even better with ice cream. Don't skip on this! We are always guilty of ordering a little too much but enjoy eating them next day. We can't wait to come back.

I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. We left with happy smiles and full stomachs, and can't wait to come back soon.

Bring card or contactless payment.) I arrived at Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) on Wednesday (around 10:21AM). Parking is very easy. The lot is big. However, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is very hidden. It has no visibility from the street! Staff is very professional and welcoming. Staff politely and cheerfully answered all my questions. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. For example, the location does not have a paper menu; all the menus are accessed via QR Code. Fortunately, Staff let me borrow their iPad which allowed me to see the menu on a larger screen. When I'd arrived, Staff asked if I was dine-in or to-go. I was immediately seated. When I'd inquired about the boba. Staff honestly told me that they needed 15 additional minutes to prepare the boba. I brightly waited. All in all, after the 15 minute wait, the drink took an additional 10 minutes before being ready. As mentioned, I ordered the Boba Bear Set ($8.50). CUTE!!! It's a very aesthetic and memorable presentation. The boba pearls came perfect; they're bouncy, perky, and playful. The brown sugar milk tea mixed with the caramel foam tasted honey-like. It's very TASTY! My biggest nitpick is that the amount felt tiny. Still, it's a wonderful memory that I'm so happy to experience! On ambiance, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is comfortable and clean. There's about 13 interior tables, and there's six patio tables. The music is slow-tempo, and the tall ceiling made it feel spacious. In addition, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) has utility. There's customer internet with password; details are available on the QR code menu. There's also about four electrical outlets. I also appreciated the self-service water station. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) felt very hidden yet well-maintained. It's a lovely spot. Overall, I had a magical, memorable experience. I discovered AMAZING milk tea and many precious memories. If searching for someplace special, I happily recommend. 4.9 out of 5
