Felt like a regular with some of the casual small talk with the ladies who work there. The manager was on his way out for the day, but saw him interacting with the crew and you can just tell, these folks like working together. I got to meet him, Alex, was a cool guy with an ever cooler take on what I should order next time. It's a lot of food! A lot a lot. I have this thing where I look around to see what everyone else is having and what I could've ordered. I left there with big leftovers and that big feeling of when your gut and heart are full. Initially, I thought the chicken breast would be about $2.50, but before placing the order our waiter came back and clarified that it would be about $5 and would come as strips instead of a full chicken breast. I appreciated him coming back to correct that. When the chicken came out, it was sliced into very thin pieces and was a little lukewarm. I mentioned it to the waiter, and he apologized and handled it professionally by removing it from the bill, which I appreciated. Overall, the food was okay, about a 3.5 out of 5 for me. The waffle was tasty, just as I remembered, and the potatoes were good as well. However, the chicken sausage patty wasn't very good. I personally didn't enjoy it and ended up leaving it on the plate. My husband ordered the pancake with pecans, scrambled eggs, and a side of grits with butter, and he enjoyed his meal. One thing I did like was that you can now pay your bill directly from your phone, which makes it really convenient when you're ready to go without waiting.
