Well who can say they have never been to a Waffle House? You know the food is fantastic! The only observation I have about this place is it was old and way to small. We had to wait a long time to get seating for 6. I may also mention that was the problem (searing 6) all their tables are all set up for seating four. So if you have a party of more than four I would suggest you go else where! read more

Only giving one star because I can't give zero. I can't even believe the people working there have jobs. All I ordered was a large order of hash browns with cheese and grilled onions. What I received was 2 burnt hash brown patties with 1 piece of cheese on one of them, no onions. So I tell the waiter to please have the cook put extra cheese on the hash browns and some grilled onions...extra charge is fine. He comes back 30 seconds later and says "are you ready for this?" and looked scared. He sets the plate down with 2 cold pieces of cheese laying over the top of the hash browns. I told him just forget it, cancel my food and everyone else's at the table. Got up and walked out. Will never return. If people don't like their jobs, why not just quit??? read more

Sat down in the waiting area hoping to be greated with a hello and hoping that a table would get cleared for us. All 5 workers did not greet us and no table was cleared. One of the best waffle houses I've been to in a long time. We ate here around noon and the host was very energetic and friendly, making every guest feel welcomed. If I was having a bad day he would have definitely brightened my day. He was helping get customers seated as fast as possible. Precious was our waitress and she was very nice, polite and welcoming. My family and I used to love this place. We were regulars. Then there was a manager who introduced himself to us as "Big Rod". He continuously flirted with my 16 year old sister and my mother. He wouldn't leave us alone and even followed us outside to wave goodbye as we got into our car. After flirting with us, he'd go to the next table and do the same thing. I've been here 3 times and each time it's gotten more and more dirty and nasty. You can feel and see the dirtiness. I feel sick to my stomach. You can feel the grime on the cups and menus. There has been a recent change in management. They cut the night staff. I was a regular during the over night shift. Now I cannot stand it. It is always extremely dirty at night. You can forget getting a drink refill. I ordered the All Stars Special. Three of the items were not cooked properly. Two were the fault of the waitress, one was the fault of the cook. Of course, if the waitress paid any attention she might have figured at least part of it out. I crazy idea would have been for her to write down the order if she could not remember it. Visiting from Washington, we went here on a Saturday morning around 10am, we got a booth to sit at as soon as we walked in the door. The waitress, an older short white lady, told us she would be back to take our order after she takes a different one. The employees were laughing & joking in the kitchen the entire time we were waiting to be taken care of. We were watching our waitress stand in the kitchen, while looking at us, leaning against the counter, joking with other employees. We waited about 10-15 mins to be served before we saw one of the older white female chefs actually cough INTO HER GLOVED HAND, & then proceed to continue cooking without washing her hands & changing her gloves. This place is NOT COVID SAFE, & NO PRACTICES are being followed by any staff there. NO social distancing was happening, the diner was packed full at every table. We got up & left without our order taken, or even water/coffee offered for the table. Would strongly NOT recommend. Have only been here a few times, always in the morning and the staff is pretty good. This Saturday visit the manager was doing a good job keeping the place lively. The only complaint I have is I was craving a waffle and what I got was a pancake with squares. The flavor was spot on but I've never had a floppy waffle until today. Some of the staff is rude and don't have any customer service. I never had a problem with the staff at this location until now. I came in to place a to go. I patiently waited at the register to place my order when one of the ladies rudely said what can she help me with. I stated that I want to place an order. She told me to move to the side and took care of the other customers behind me. I wouldn't be frustrated if I hadn't stood in line as long as I did and she had an attitude. Dirty. Disorganized. Tickets and receipts laying on the table where customers should be able to sit. The workers were commiserating with and against each other. The cook demonstrated no patience with a waitress. Yelling out so the entire restaurant could hear him. The manager (?) yelling across the store asking if a vehicle parked outside belonged to anyone, numerous times. The workers were having inappropriate conversations in front of customers (complaining about each other and the business). It was a very hostile and uncomfortable environment to have a planned nice breakfast with family. Will not return. It's clear that there needs to be a management change. read more

Just left this establishment. We were traveling home from our vacation. Walked in and should have turned around and left after the burnt bacon smoke and smell. Eggs were incorrectly cooked. So far I'm not impressed. Yes it's COVID -19 but there's no sign on the door requiring a mask. We have masks but we were like we're going to be eating we have to take it off anyways. We walk in the door and this guy is like do you guys have masks and i put mine on and my cousin reaches for here but her friend was just like "do we have to leave?" Came here on a busy post-church Sunday morning. Manager expediting the wait area was excellent, and we were seated rather quickly as tables turned over fast. Our 3 kids 3 and under were treated as welcomed guests, not nuisances. Look, the food is Waffle House not The French Laundry. But to have fed our crew, who was hungry and limited in patience, a satisfying and hearty array of breakfast staples for $22.59 is an accomplishment indeed. And sitting in our booth with a mug of pretty decent hot coffee never allowed to go empty, the clamor of the busy open kitchen, and the chatter of a diverse crowd of friendly folks from all walks of life, Waffle House delivered on not only a winning meal but ultimately on an experience that makes one proud to be an American. read more

This is our second Waffle House attempt of the day, pushing everything else we need to get done behind about 3 hours. This Waffle House was at least cleaner. However the food aroma was overwhelmed by the soapy water being splashed across the prep floor, splashing up and also soaped our table (which was void of menus). About 5 minutes after we get there, a waiter greets us to ask what we wanted to drink. As he started walking away, my fiancé got his attention again so we could get menus. He turned around and picked up the menus on the table behind us & handed them to us (I barely touched it and was disgusted as it was greasy). We looked at the menus and decided we'd order the same thing we did at the last Waffle House, so we placed our menus in the metal rack. He came back again to place silverware, then came back again to drop off drinks. He then walked past our table 3 more times before he came again to ask if we were ready. We ordered and began waiting. About 10ish minutes later, he brought 3 waffles to us, 2 for my fiancé, 1 for me (I didn't order anything with a waffle). Then after a moment, he says "oh, that's for a different table" and picks it up. He then continues to bring my fiancé's food as I wait for mine. Then we hear the mom at the table behind saying "this isn't mine, none of us ordered this." So he argues with her, disagreeing that he brought the wrong food. Then opens his order book and sees that the food was for our table, takes it, and asks what she ordered. Then he comes to our table with plate in hand as if to set it down in front of me. I told him not to put that on our table, and he turns to the trash can & dumps it. We wait for another 10 minutes when I finally get my food. He says "that was completely my mistake, I'm so sorry, I'm the only one working tables right now" (keep in mind there are only THREE tables with guests. Once again, I would highly recommend going elsewhere. And I haven't even mentioned the manager and 2 employees getting into a yelling match in the prep area in front of the entire restaurant. Better skip this particular location! This is a really OLD Waffle House and it more than shows its age. Needed a thorough cleaning too---flies, dead moth on the front window, garbage and liquids on the floor, trash in the booth seats. Staff was super nice and the food was good, which makes it more of a shame that the environment is so gross. Bizarrely, they were out of orange juice! Coffee was terrible too which is rare for a breakfast joint. So look for a newer Waffle House! read more

This Waffle House is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. My friends and I, super excited for Waffle House, walk in to an ear striking sound of a drill being used in the kitchen. I understand kitchen repairs will be needed in any restaurant, but it was highly unpleasant. We sit down at a table that wasn't properly cleaned. We didn't say anything, because it was obvious that the staff was busy. The biggest problem occurred after my friend politely asked an employee "um, question?". The lady didn't hear us, but another lady named Dee snapped at us and said "you don't say 'um, question' to an employee you say 'excuse me'". It was obvious that Dee was having a bad day, but no matter what you should never take it out on the customer. My friend apologized to her multiple times, but when we were checking out (which took 10 minutes because their system was down), Dee got mad at us again for being "rich kids with a BMW and credit cards". She went on to prosecute us off the assumption that we were rich because we didn't carry cash. She went on to tell us that she has had it hard her entire life, with "gang bangs and guns", and we were super uncomfortable. We initially responded with kind words but she spoke and lectured to the point where we didn't want to say anything else. The 2 girls in our group walked up to pay and she started lecturing them about how they should leave us because we aren't good people. She made the assumption that the girls were romantically affiliated with us, which is not appropriate. Dee is the worst and the store clearly puts up with this behavior, that is why I am not going to be eating at this franchise anymore. read more

A solid three stars for a place that has consistently tried to only be what is originally set out to be: a glorified road-side restaurant that serves everything a long-distance driver needing a cup of coffee, or post-club hopping group needing comfort food to absorb the drinks, or a family looking for a quick bite anytime could want. Always easily accessible from the main highway, the familiar yellow and dark brown sign and design welcomes customers who appreciate a hard, modular booth or counter stool, American cheese as the only choice, and hash browns as the the only potato option. This ain't LePeep folks and you won't feel unwelcome if you roll in there if you've just rolled out of bed. We go for the waffles, obviously, and this place was doing them right long before every IHOP, Denny's, and LePeep had a Belgian waffle maker. I also like their ham & cheese omelette because it reminds me of those I used to make for myself when I was a kid; nothing fancier than cubed ham and a slice of good ol' American deliciously oozing out of a warm scrambled egg pocket. My husband's ham was a little overdone and dry and he probably would've sent it back if he hadn't already been stuffed from the two waffles and double order of hash browns he'd just eaten. Even though the seating is limited, the cooks here are so fast, and the place so no-nonsense, the tables turn very quickly so if you get stuck sitting on the chairs next to the door, I'll bet the juke box won't have finished it's third song before you're seated. Our servers always seem a little "rode hard, put up wet" but they're always friendly and on the ball with refills, extra jelly packets, or a to-go cup for your tea - it probably helps that they're never more than 10 feet away from you at any given time! My hat's off to anyone who works here because the floor behind the counter is ALWAYS wet and the pace there is frantic as well, but you'd never know it by how many locals and travelers keep this place steadily streaming through the doors. read more
