Once again, the staff was extremely pleasant at this location. When calling in my phone order, the young lady that took my order was very sweet. She didn't rush me like some places will do. When I got in, she knew who I was and handed me my freshly prepared order. Her and the other staff this Sunday morning were great. I'm glad this location is staying consistent with positive staff.

First time ever at a Waffle House. The peanut butter waffle was decent, I wouldn't say it's the best waffle ever but it was good. The coffee was actually good, I think we had good timing and got there when a new pot was brewed. The food was simple but good. The service was friendly but when we got there only one table had a person at it and despite the 4 people behind the counter, all the tables were dirty except one. There was one girl on her phone, I must assume she was on a break, but the girl ringing in my order her phone went off and she stopped to take it out and see who was calling and then finished my transaction. Not ok.

First and foremost it is never a good experience if you do not have enough workers shut the whole situation down you can't even get a hot plate of breakfast without it being served with a side of bitch and attitude. I walked into the waffle house on general Degaulle Drive this morning it was filthy the place looks like it has not been wiped down or bussed in hours. Everywhere I try to sit down to have breakfast the rude young lady stated that they're closing the side down I sit down again we're closing this down also everywhere else to sit down in the restaurant is dirty you should've just told me to leave! I work in hospitality I'm a server myself I would never give the service to anyone that I was just given

Great staff food good for fast breakfast but the best coffee ever .remember to tip cause they work hard open 24/7 365 days a year to feed all of us lazy people traveling.

Alas! They have given me the syrup dispenser that was not broken... Huzzah!

Y'all know what Waffle House is food wise, so I will pass on giving you a soliloquy about it's merits and affordability. Let's jump straight to why I keep coming back to my favorite anytime of day or night cheap meal spot... The People! Every Waffle House I have ever been to is staffed with cooks/servers who really seem to enjoy their job, and it shows when they cut up with diners. We have fun conversations, joke about getting off the clock, and on one occasion collectively razzed a cook who didn't know what "Super Sunday" was in New Orleans. I can't think of another restaurant where I feel so comfortable and able to chat with my server and cooks. Having them just across the counter is a feature almost every other non-Waffle House restaurant out there does not have. IHOP be damned, you won't be catching me eating a lion's breakfast for $8 at any other spot!

EVERY SINGLE TABLE AND COUNTER TOP LOOKS LIKE THIS PICTURE except one. Lazy, nasty mfs working here. One customer

This place has some lazy ass employees. I've come here twice and it was not busy and every fucking table and counter top was dirty. Like food and water marks from cups on every single table and counter top except for one table. There was one customer today, two employees just hanging out and the place was filthy. I don't know how the other shifts are but both times I've been there it was between 3am-5am. If you're comming from New Orleans skip this waffle house and drive the extra 5 minutes to the one behrman hwy.

The absolute worst waffle house experience. Hair everywhere and took 3 tries to make waffles and still came out burnt.

Both were outstanding. The Bananas Foster French Toast was rich, indulgent, and packed with flavor without being overwhelmingly sweet. The bananas and sauce were the perfect complement to the French toast, making it feel like a New Orleans dessert and breakfast all in one. The Boudin Breakfast Biscuit was equally impressive. The biscuit was fresh and flaky, and the boudin added a delicious Cajun flavor that set it apart from a typical breakfast sausage. Every bite was savory, satisfying, and uniquely Louisiana. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it's easy to see why Surrey's has such a loyal following. If you're visiting New Orleans and looking for a memorable breakfast, put this place on your list. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

The hostess was so kind in allowing my mom to sit inside and have coffee until our table was ready. I didn't mind at all waiting outside because it was such a beautiful day, and it was just great being in New Orleans. I will say the food was astronomically delicious. If I could provide a 10 rating, I definitely would. From the French toast made with the po' boy bread to the shrimp and grits and the crab omelette, my taste buds were so happy. This place is a true gem. I can't wait to come back and try more. Such a great experience.

There was a line when we arrived, but we liked how the host walked the line asking how many people in your party in case they were able to seat people regardless of your position in line. We were seated pretty quickly, our server was great. She came over with a big smile, very mild mannered, but attentive. We ordered our meals, which came out quickly. Omelet for my husband, grits bowl for me. The grits have smoked gouda. The grits bowl is if you have a big appetite because it is big! My husband enjoyed his shrimp and crab Omelet, but he did mention that he couldn't really taste or see much crab, but it was tasty. The grits bowl has a lot of sautéed veggies so if that's not your thing say no veggies or light veggies. I had one of the fresh juices, the Ginger Sun, I believe that's the name. Oh my!!! It was so good and honestly I wasn't feeling my best when I arrived and after drinking the juice my body really started feeling better. I wasn't able to eat all my food, but I can say that juice was the highlight of it for me. The restaurant was clean and I love the long bench with the pillows that line the wall. Also, they have 2 sides, the other side is for to go I believe and its for tacos/quesadillas, etc...

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and drinks at Luzianne. Minor things noted, mainly on the cook of the eggs, but nothing awful. It his the spot and checked the boxes!

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (one being only 2 years old), and because of that they changed our table type from a 4-top to a 5-top and made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Meanwhile, multiple tables became available that easily could have accommodated us, but the hostess was determined to keep telling us we had to wait. To make matters worse, there was open bench seating in the back where customers ordering to-go could sit. I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service experience.
