Everyone is super nice here! Food came out really good! Chatting with the servers was really wonderful and I felt super welcome.

The service was the worst! The first red flag was the dirty cups. Then the lackluster waitress brown skinned with the mermaid blue teal Ombre hair and the Aries tattoo on her left eye! She was messing up our orders! She was touching her hair and not wearing gloves/washing hands while handling food. The waffles were burnt and cold at the same time! My cousin's omelet looked burnt and dry! Her toast was dry as straws! She told the waitress to put the food in the plastic containers and I saw her put my waffle touch the plate then put it in a container! Every time she messed up she said. "Oh shit!" My mother's sandwich had Bacon and she didn't order that! She forgets to make our waffles, especially my cousin's blueberry one. When some loud teens come into the world establishment she was having full conversations with them. After I ate my hash steak melt bowl my stomach and I start to feel sick! Restaurant Final Verdict: 2/10 Avoid Waffle House on 120 W Spring Valley Rd, Richardson, Texas at all costs. Never in my life had I tipped less than 21%, whether the bill was 10 bucks or 100. The service was that bad. 8+ minutes before the waitress came to take my order. There's 3 tables that are occupied. Waitress has a bit of an attitude. Ended up waiting over 15 minutes just to get my drink served. Said drink was iced tea, very poorly brewed. My waffle was brought at least 10 minutes before my main course. I don't know of many people that eat their dessert before they do their steak and eggs. So by the time I got around to eating that it was already cold. No drink refills were offered. Sadly, the food was mediocre at best. This is disappointing, as Waffle House is known for hearty and tasty food. The staff at this particular location showed no effort whatsoever. ~Day was mow warreed bout lookin angry than servin people~ The place was not busy and it was not understaffed. This place is part of pop culture. One should be prepared for a very casual(as in sticky floors, maybe some crickets outside, smell of grease) environment. I think it's amazing that you can get an egg and cheese biscuit sandwich, or some really good smothered hash(cheese, onions, the works) or other various good tasting food for $2-$3!!! Their chocolate chip waffles are really good. It's great that it's a 24 hour place. I went to this location with a group of friends last night. My waffle was burned and I had to request a new one. Our order was messed up three times and my friend was served warm milk. The waitress opened a new container of milk and tried to serve a second cup of warm milk from their fridge. She said "don't worry, I'm not mad at you" when he refused the warm milk. My boots still have syrup on them from their sticky floor. The waitress tried to overcharge an additional $13. She corrected it and claimed there was a fee she had waived for placing a single take out order. To make matters worse, a cockroach was crawling on my friends arm while at the register paying his tab. The ladies response was "Everyone has cockroaches, we can't control that." I didn't know there was a Waffle House near me until last week when I went. To start off with the positives, the food was good, I honestly like their breakfast items, and the food didn't come out soggy or cold. What I did have an issue with was the service, when I arrived the server forgot to return to the table a good potion of time while I was there. Because of that, it wasn't as "homey" as Waffle Houses usually are. With that said, I grew up going to Waffle Houses so it won't be my last time going. read more

Went to this location because it has always been one of my favorite late night dining spots ,and at that time I'm sure it's as good as always , however I went early in the evening (5:30 pm ) and the staff were a bunch of young and disrespectful hooligans. My sever was more interested in the two personal friends he had seated at the counter then my order which he totally botched . I guess it was his total disregard for what he was doing that really pissed me off ,also the food he delivered looked like crap and he claimed they were out of salad dressing and gravy he also brought my wife's burger with nothing on it and when she said something he said oh I was going to bring that later . I hate that those youngster have ruined for me what was truly one of my favorite places to eat . I hope the management there realize what is going on and rectifies it read more

We went in around 11 so the place wasn't too busy. Once inside we noticed the two tables that were open had dirty dishes so we waited at the entrance to try and give the guys a chance to catch up. After about 10 minutes we went and sat at one of the dirty tables hoping they would clean it since we were there. We sat.. and sat. The staff walked by a few times but never said hi or asked for a drink order. After another 10 minutes someone finally came up and started cleaning our table, but still never greeted us or asked for a drink order. In the middle of cleaning our table she walked off to go take another tables order. By this time another couple of tables had left so we were just sitting at a row of dirty, empty tables. We thought she would come back to finish cleaning our table and ask for an order after getting the other tables order, but she didn't. We sat for another 5 or 10 minutes without a greeting or any sort of order taken. At this point we had wasted almost 30 minutes inside the restaurant without a hi or even opportunity to get a glass of coffee so we figured it was time to cut our losses and left. No food. No drink. Went to this location which I have been to many times and never had a complaint. I ordered the bacon cheese burger and hash browns w/ mushrooms, onion and gravy. After the server took our order he proceeded to the counter where he chatted with a girl and guy obviously his friends. It took about 10 minutes before he gave the cook out order. When he brought our food the burger was just burger, cheese and bun. I asked if it came with lettuce, tomato and onion like depicted on the pic. Annoyed he told me he was going to bring them on the side. Hash browns had no onion or gravy and a nasty slice of cheese on top. When we asked he took back our plates then returned a few minutes later with nothing resolved and told us they were out of gravy. Meanwhile another server was sitting at the counter (it was 5:45) yelling across the line that she was counting down the drawer and leaving at 8:00. When she wasn't yelling across the restaurant she was on her phone. We got up and said, "never mind". All three staff were not much older then kids. They need some customer service skills. Came in around 11pm Sunday. First thing we noticed was the store was a total wreck.. dirty floors with trash everywhere.. not just the kitchen, all over the dining room. Sat down an waitress came to get our drink orders... No sodas today... only water or sweet tea. Asked about unsweet tea and she said she didnt know and yelled across store to ask another waitress who said "not a good idea". We just got waters... We ordered... and found out that getting salads with the dinners were also "not a good idea" so we got chili instead.. "pending manager approval." As the waitress left we noticed she had a cut near her elbow and had a lot of dried blood all down the side of her arm, we pointed this out to her and she continued to work without doing anything about it.. ??? We got our food, the chef must have been new, I have never gotten a round omelet at the waffle house.. The chili was burnt and prob in that hot pot for a day or 2.. Waitresses were nice, service was ok... store was trashed and it wasnt even that busy! There were only 4 tables occupied and nobody was doing anything to clean up the store. We both agreed that eating there again is probably "not a good idea" which is a shame because we really like the waffle house food. read more

I was born in Atlanta, GA. The headquarters of Waffle House. And my dad took us here as young children all the time. So it's in my blood. I love Waffle House because it's open 24 hours and you can eat breakfast all day! I usually get two scrambled eggs, raisin toast, and hashbrowns .This is where my love of hashbrowns began. I like them clean and just had ketchup to them. But you can get them covered, smothered, etc. Their waffles are always good (I like plain) and their coffee is super yummy. Also, their grilled chicken sandwich and biscuits are so yum. Our dad always got us a slice of Pecan Pie with melted butter and I still love it! I actually came here for Valentine's Day and loved it. I will always love Waffle House. If they could get a drive-through and allow me to order online, it would be even better! Also, the patrons here after hours are great entertainment. A OK. Mary the waiter is nice. I had the hash browns at about 3am with some relatives. You can get them whatever way you want. Covered, smothered, diced, country, chunked, etc... We loved it. Good place to just talk it out. Some of the people creeped me out but yeah, its 3am. There was a jerk customer complaining about everything a booth away but we just had to laugh.
