So I have really praised Waffle Love for their chicken and waffles, but I can't even begin to explain the experience we had tonight (9/18/2019). We took a friend that had never been before and we ordered the chicken and waffles. While we were ordering, they were apologizing to someone for burned chicken so when it took longer than normal we thought they were probably having issues. After 45 minutes we went and asked about our order and they didn't even have it. We had been sitting there waiting for 45 minutes and no one thought they should check to see what we were waiting on? They then made our order and it took probably another 15 minutes. The chicken was burned badly and had been pulled into small pieces. This is not how it is normally served, so I assume they were picking off the charred pieces and just leaving the extremely burned portions. It was completely inedible. I couldn't even have it remade because we had been there so long. I have been the one most likely to suggest going to eat there with friends, but it is hard to get over paying $20, waiting an hour and being served severely burned chicken. All I can say is that if you decide to go to this location, leave yourself plenty of time and don't settle for this level of service. read more

Seriously crave-able waffles. Everything is good but try the Chicken Avocado Tartine for lunch or dinner - it is unreal. My favorite go-to dessert waffles are Sunshine or Nutella Raspberry and Cream Cheese Frosting. I recommend getting your own waffle - these are too delicious to share! Also - my sisters can't eat gluten and were glad to learn that almost every waffle can be adjusted to be "gluten friendly" (they cook the GF waffles on the same irons as the regular waffles and there's gluten in the kitchen so cross-contact is possible). But my favorites are the fried chicken and the croissant waffle. Since my husband and his friend, Hang, always come here for lunch, they tried everything on the menu. They told me, the churro waffle is ok so they rather put their money on other dessert waffles. They also recommended the chicken & waffle, the breakfast sammy, and the chicken sandwich. On hands down that the chicken sandwich is the best! Crispy layers of croissant waffles sandwiched two pieces of freshly fried juicy all-white meat chicken and top it off with the classic fry sauce. I truly don't understand the ratings for this one. I felt so bad for the frazzled teenagers behind the counter. Too many to go orders so counter orders took over 30 minutes. Soooo goood!!!!! The waffles are just the right amount of crispy on the outside and have a slight chewy-ish texture on the inside, it's just perfect. I loved their food trucks when they were out and about but having one in a close brick and mortar store was a dream. However, they have a you g man that works there that acts entitled and bothered at your mere presence. Maybe it was such a disappointment because I was looking forward to trying their waffles due to all I've heard however after having waffles from Bruges waffles and frits it just really can't compare. The waffle I tried at waffle love had chunks of hard sugar in areas and no sugar in others. The flavor was a little bland. The toppings were good.
