Hits the spot when you're looking for something delicious and filling. Got the avocado tartine and it was so good. Chicken sliders are tasty and not dinky little things either, all for a good price.

This is my first time eating here, and I can say that it was delicious and the best dessert I could end my week with. We ordered a waffle called Dulce and another with Apple, my favorite was the Dulce! It comes with ice cream, strawberries, and dulce de leche! I want to go back soon! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is nice, it has a bird decoration on the ceiling that I thought was beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Breakfast Sammy
    Holly A.

Almost a complete disappointment. Not sure if maybe one of the other locations might be better but I ordered the breakfast Sammy and a pressed apple juice. The breakfast Sammy was hard to eat and I ended up trying to add some syrup to it to jazz it up. It didn't help. The bacon was tough, waffle this weird flaky limp waffle of a thing and whatever their sauce is they adorn said waffle is...they should leave it off. It's pretty bad They got 2 stars out of me for the pressed apple juice that was actually good.

Got here at 1:30pm for lunch with my family and while everyone in the staff was busy in the back goofing off, they weren't too slow to take our order but almost all of the napkin dispensers had about 2-3 napkins in them, the ice machine was never turned on until we asked for ice, and half of fountain drinks were just soda water. Customer walked in and they were busy again in the back goofing off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely not against having fun at work and enjoying coworkers.. But they don't care to have the place taken care of.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Hello! We do have gluten free "friendly" waffles with some minor cross contamination from the waffle iron. To make sure the store has it in stock, we recommend giving them a call beforehand, because we only make a small amount. Call 801-923-3588 and… Read more

I understood their locations only exist closer to the east half of the country, and was quite sad to know it'll likely be a very long time before I'll ever get the experience. Well that *was* until my good friend recommended the local diner Belgian Waffle & Omelet Inn which actually achieves everything I could ever want from a Waffle House! The food is actually amazing, and clearly made with love! I got their garlic burger which was just incredible, served with a generous portion of delicious fries! and my friend got huge stack of pancakes topped with ice cream and fresh fruit that I tried a little of and also adored! We also both had their raspberry lemonade, and I got an extra side of sausages. It was all so amazing. and even tho I saw the pricing on the menu, I was honestly expecting to spend about double what I actually paid (I seem to have generous rounded up too much in my head). I was frankly shocked the final bill was only $26! I felt like I was robbing them! I made sure to leave a large tip. The place was very clean and has a nice cozy atmosphere, and the staff were all so kind! I even received a compliment from one of the staff who's a Studio Ghibli fan and loved my soot sprite pin. I could go on and on about how this is easily one of my new favorite restaurants I'll be going to any time I get the munchies and want some comfort food, or whenever I'm really hungover and just need a quiet, gentle atmosphere where I can feel like a character in Twin Peaks. (My enthusiasm for this place is on par with Agent Dale Cooper.) I seriously can't recommend all of this enough. I'm shocked it exists, and frankly feel a sense of guile in knowing it's too good for Salt Lake City. I'm not religious, but I've now found heaven.

The chicken-fried steak and eggs was excellent. The gravy added the perfect flavor. I had the cornbread hash and eggs which was accompanied by a mound of potatoes. Our server Marin was awesome. The bartender and owner stopped by our table several times to check on us. They have regular and high tables plus seats at the bar. So I think in talking to most of my friends I got a good view on the food, and presentation. I had a starter of Totchos, and the Beef Dipper for my entrée. Both were excellent, I shared my Totchos. These are tater tot nachos, they were excellent, normally I don't like cheese sauce on Nachos, but given the consistency and flavor of this sauce (house made, I'm guessing. Not canned) They were excellent. The Beef Dipper and Au Jus, also top notch! Generally in a French dip, there is a lot of fatty pieces, this was not that. Also at my table was the Chile Verde bowl, this one has a kick... but my friend having it really enjoyed it. The fish and chips was great, smelled fresh. Lets talk about the sides. Choice of Fries (appeared to be battered fries, always a favorite of mine.) Tots, or house made potato chips. I had the Potato Chips with mine, these were excellent, crisp and tender on the inside. The Athena (Lamb Burger) got rave reviews from one at the table The Service: Because we were in a large group they advised us they were going to be taking our orders as we came in so not to overwhelm the kitchen staff. Excellent communication throughout service given that we were a large group. I talked to one of the Owners, Laurie, I could tell she had a huge sense of pride in the place. Very friendly! The Restaurant: Great atmosphere, Fun artwork, best of all, VERY Clean, nothing sticky or no grease buildup on any surface. The glass ware on the wall behind the bar as all polished. In the bar area they stack their silver, tableware, condiments etc. in a cute little cozy box on the table, with the main dining area setup as a diner with the traditional paper napkin and silverware. For a diner motif to have shined silver and glassware is a nice touch! Summary: Eat here! The prices are reasonable, the food is excellent, when I looked at the menu online I was a little put off by no actual entrée's on the dinner menu, however the in house experience made up for that, it's a pub food vibe and they are doing it well!

"Don't worry honey, it's okay to look, and also throw money at the half-naked women! I promise you won't get in trouble!" Uh-huh. ;) Alright, I digress. Awkwardness aside, Prohibition is a really great place to enjoy a classy dinner, where the meat is served on a place AND on stage, and the cheesecake comes with the price of admission! Speaking of admission, as my wife and I were guests, being shepherded along by our friend, I cannot recall exactly what the "cover charge" was (not much, if I remember correctly...less than $20 for two?), and if reservations are *required*, I cannot say for certain, but I would say they are *recommended* at the very least, because our showtime was packed. Anyway, once paid, you are escorted through a secret bookcase door (SLC residents sure do love their speakeasies, don't they?), and into the dining hall and saloon, where you're soon to have your socks knocked off...well, someone's clothes are coming off, anyway! We were given a table that I dismissively thought was tucked away pretty far in the back and out of the way, but it ended up being one of the best seats in the house, as the table where the performers gathered, prepped, and returned to was just adjacent to us, so we were about as up close and personal as you can get, without getting yourselves arrested. Each of the dancers brought their own style, flair, and wardrobe to their performances, which were spirited and energetic, and a touch racy, without devolving into outright debauchery. It may be an (18+? 21+?) venue, but alcohol restrictions aside, I wouldn't hesitate to take older, more mature teens to a show with similar content. We ordered a smattering of smaller dishes, as we weren't particularly hungry, but the Mishima Wagyu tacos were fantastic (as you would expect), as was the Fedora Fin (Za'atar-crusted ahi tuna), and all of our cocktails. As the show is timed event with multiple performances per night, both food and bev are fired out of the kitchen/bar faster than the bullets from a Tommy Gun, but with far better accuracy. The whole operation here was honestly very impressive, from start to finish. Coming from a progressive city like Portland, it's always struck me a little odd that places that, by reputation, strike you as more conservative end up having some of the best, most wild entertainment venues, that you only wish you had back home. Prohibition is one of these places that I would rather see in my downtown, instead of the litany of seedy strip joints pushing for maximum titilation, but with only a fraction of the class and sophistication. Prohibition is good, clean fun, masquerading as something illicit, which is the heart of what makes it work so well.
