Really enjoyed our visit to the Waffles English Tea Room. We had the cream teas and really enjoyed it. Pot of Earl Gray which was really delicious. Scones, cream and jam all good. Would I go back - oh yes deffo going to visit again.

My husband took me here to help celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. He ended up loving it as much as I did, and neither of us could get over the quantity of food we received for a tea. I truly appreciated how the staff went out of their way to make sure my husband's full tea was completely gluten free. We had an appetizer, three sandwiches each, about four different cheeses with various crackers, fruit, and we both got four desserts. It was a lot, and every bit was delicious. My husband usually has to eat after we go to any tea, but this time around he was full. It was fun having the hats and the tea was hot. Our waitress was warm and on the ball. The manager came by to check on us as well. We would absolutely return and highly recommend Waffle's English Tea Room. Thank you so much!

A delightful little tea room in downtown Dahlonega. I consider myself quite the tea snob and Anglophile. As such, I can tell you with much authority that this is one of the better teas rooms I've been to. Unlike high tea, an afternoon tea is meant to be a light snack, but Waffles leaves you satiated with a large portion of sandwiches, scones, and sweets. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The server was knowledgeable and did a great job trying to educate this group of pros. Two things I will note for improvement, one of our party does not enjoy tea and came along because the menu online states you can buy a cup of coffee. We were told prior to arrival that coffee would be available. However, when we were ordering our different pots of tea, they stated they do not have coffee, even though it is on the printed menu we were holding in our hands, which they provided us. That is, in my opinion, a big faux pas. The second thing I'd like to note is that the tea was not hot enough. At home, I make it with boiling water from an electric kettle. I also warm the tea pot with boiling water prior to adding the water for the tea leaves. The water for this tea cooled in the pot after the second cup. I suggest a tea cozy to keep it warm longer, or a candle pot warmer, but of course, briskly boiling water. Otherwise, it was an adorable little tea room and we had a wonderful time.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved it! It was a great setting for a celebration tea with the girls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was pretty good. Missy & Lily were excellent servers. All in all we had a great time! I would definitely go back and bring the girls again.

My husband and I went to the tea room today. We had a reservation and were very excited to be one of the first ones to visit this newly opened establishment. What a beautiful space!! Charming historical house transformed into a cozy restaurant with several small tables and a semi-private room for larger parties. Loved all of the decorations. Definitely feel strong influence from tea rooms which we've been to in England. The owner is the same woman who owns Dahlonega's British shop, Crown & Bear. She was there among the staff helping and making sure everyone felt welcomed and taken care of. Our server, William was fantastic! He described every tea they had, making it easy to select the variety we liked. My husband got Scottish Breakfast tea and I had Lemon tea. Both were delicious. We decided to order the Waffle's tower. It's the biggest one they have with a large variety of sandwiches, pasties (including ones which were shipped from Europe) and fruits, so we got to try most of what they have to offer. Fiona (the owner) stated that they have different selection on every given day. They also have smaller towers, as well as a la carte items. I'm a vegetarian (and I mentioned that when we RSVP'ed), so they made sure to swap some of the chicken and beef sandwiches for more cucumber and egg ones. What a treat this meal was!! We will most definitely return soon and we 100% recommend this place.

Amazing Afternoon tea. Menu exceeded my expectations. First course English shrimp cocktail was delightful as well as the tea towers.

To…read moremy surprise, there was a Spice & Tea Exchange just a few shops down from where I was standing! This little tea shop is incredible! It feels like you stepped back in time with the creaky hardwood floors and the rows and rows of glass jars filled with teas, herbs, and spices. My kind of place. You can purchase their proprietary spice blends, seasonings, and rubs as well as their loose-leaf teas and organic teas. They have 85 handcrafted seasonings that are hand-mixed in store daily. They also offer flavored sugars, sea salts, and other lines including infused honeys and artisan extra virgin olive oils. They seriously have it all, so it's a great gift shop if you're looking to buy something special for a loved one. They also offer fresh-brewed tea made to order, and let you choose any of their loose-leafs available in house. I think that's so cool to have the ability to pick your tea on the spot and have it made just for you. I chose the Super Citrus Mint Herbal Tea over ice with NO sugar or sweetener (I like it as natural as possible), and it was exactly what I was looking for. Incredibly refreshing and also great immune support. Excited to come back for more spices and tea!

The ladies up front were super kind and walked with me to give me recommendations on teas/ flavor profiles I was looking for. Everything smelled wonderful and you can purchase little packets of any of the spices and herbs in the shop. At the back of the shop you can order a drink to make. We ordered an Iced Orange Blossom tea and it was so good & refreshing. Friendly staff, clean establishment & high quality products.

It will not disappoint if you can get through the front door, which is cluttered like a hoarders house. Once we walk through the tiny path between all the "antique gems", a deep awakening in our spirits happened. A spine, chilling moment. Something you would see on 60 minutes episode before a person was kidnapped. Suddenly a man from the back yelled out " you want a shot or a hot chocolate?". With fear and trepidation, we said no and he asked us if he scared us... we said "yes". We knew we had to get out of there fast. As we were trying to "escape", I saw a cat and tried to soften the awkwardness and talk to an older lady about the cat. Just as I did that, the older lady started yelling out. "They're not gonna buy anything, Jack! Why are they here if they don't wanna buy anything? They don't like our store? They should leave!!" He agreed and so did we! The cafe looks like a little house on the corner, but the inside has been beautifully updated into a large open area with natural lighting gleaming through the windows. The focal point is a long beautiful counter. It reminded me of counters you would have seen in grocery stores, pharmacies, or 5 and dime stores in the early 20th century. The other things to catch my eye were bthe table game set up, merchandise from local vendors, games scattered throughout, high top tables in the back, a big comfy looking couch and local art. I got the sense that Blue Market 42 was more than just coffee, but a place to socialize, relax, and to be part of the community. Blue Market 42 serves Jittery Joe's Coffee. I really enjoyed my cortado. My husband really enjoyed the spinning tops on the table. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!
