"We don't have a button on the register for that." That was the response of one of the co-owners when I attempted to order a mixed two piece meal (meaning one piece dark and one light meat). Since there was no button, they refused to accept my order and demanded that I order all dark or all light. Given that level of customer service and attention to detail, what would your next action be? Been here twice. First time opening weekend. The "famous recipe" double fried chicken tasted burnt. Not that they overcooked the chicken - rather the burnt taste you get from burnt oil. OK - new equipment, new process, give them a couple weeks to work out kinks and try again. But alas, as you already know, we never got to place an order on the second trip, because there was no button on the register for a mixed order. To bring this saga to a close, I suggest you spend your food dollars at an establishment where they will work for your business. read more

I wish I would have known about Waldos being on Yelp or I would have made a review SO long ago!!! I LOVE Waldo's. I experienced them accidentally on their opening night here in Tulsa a few months ago and since then it has been nothing less than a great experience. Each time I go they are always SO kind, the food is never overly greasy and nasty, it seems as though it's always fresh when I go which is lovely. The crunch you get from their chicken is top notch. My Husband had been wanting to try Waldo's for quite awhile, so we FINALLY went (drive-in), a few nights ago. I chose the 4-piece Tenders due to the claim "Best Tender Strips in Tulsa", along with two *2* sides (Loaded Mac & Cheese and Cole Slaw) and an add-on of Cheddar Cheese Biscuits (6) w/Honey Butter. I must say, I was Pleasantly surprised about how GOOD the slaw tasted! It had the Right combination of Sweetness; Crispiness (NO soggy cabbage here!); Moisture (NOT too "wet or dry") and Bite-size (Diced evenly throughout). The Loaded Mac & Cheese (with Bacon & BBQ Sauce) also tasted Good. My Husband ordered Bone-in Wings w/Bleu Cheese (1.5 pounds, consisted of Approx. 10-12), along with Mac & Cheese. They were 'Soggy' (cooked some more at home-See Pics). Since neither meal came with a drink, I added a Fresly-squeezed Strawberry Lemonade that was really Delicious (Not overly sweet or tart)! Overall, Waldo's was a bit pricey (Over $30), but the food was Decent (minus the Undercooked Bone-in Wings). The food made us sick, was cold during rush hour and the fries were cooked in old oil and tasted strange seasoning. Price alone I never go back as its competitor is better and cheaper cost. Tulsa hard to get in and out of restaurant seating was very odd and the servers were rude. The manager was nice and tried to fix the horrible experience. We're fortunate (or unfortunate?!) to have had this open very near to our neighborhood. We've made three visits to date, and have sampled the bucket o' chicken along with a couple of the sandwiches (the O.G. and the Strip Club) and several sides. Everything has been absolutely delicious, and the spiciness is on-point. The kids' loaded Mac has also been a big hit with our littles. We love that the food is clearly fresh and scratch-made, and is far superior to fast chains like Popeyes and Cane's (why anyone eats bland-ass Cane's is beyond me!). The prices are reasonable, and the service is good (although we've only had takeout to date). Anyhow, if you're in the mood for fried chicken, this is the place to go. read more

We went her for a family members birthday. None of us had been here before so it was exciting for everyone to try a new local place. Never trust an empty restaurant. This place was fro from empty so we were exiting good food with good service. That's exactly what we received. The prices are fair and the service was great. The food was surprisingly delicious. I say surprisingly because I've been to my share of restaurants that serve collard greens and Mac n cheese and most of the time I'm disappointed. This place is on to something when it comes to these 2 dishes. I only wish they served yams/sweet potatoes too. The cheddar biscuits are more like mini muffins but they are tasty little bites. Very good chicken tenders. Great variety of sauces but you honestly could eat without sauce. Mac and Cheese and collard greens taste just like those I grew up with in GA. Only place I've ever seen Alabama white sauce outside of AL. Sweet tea is a quality good southern style as well. The staff was really friendly. My husband had a hankering for fried chicken, so we decided to give waldo's a try. Huge mistake. We ordered a 4 pc dinner for him, which was around 14$, and you could upgrade to have onion rings for $2 more, so we did. He got 3 small onion rings...yes you read that right-3. The biggest rip off I have seen and we eat out alot. I called the manager and she said yes thats correct. Very disappointing. And to top it off the chicken smelled burned, and the batter was so salty you couldn't eat it. Now, I ordered the chicken tenders and mac n cheese and mine was great! Ordered curbside pick up, which was prompt and courteous. The receipt on the bag had my order correct, but once I got home and opened up the container, the 1/2 fried chicken I was expecting had been substituted with a roasted half-chicken. I wasn't pleased but decided to make the most of the situation and dug in. Oh dear. You know things are not good when the thigh meat is dry. The carcass had not been well drained so the wing meat was dark with blood, and what little I tried of the breast had that chalkiness of one badly overcooked bird. The sides were fine -- potato wedges that are closer to steak fries, and a decent Mac and cheese. I'm hoping that this was an aberration rather than business as usual, but I doubt I'll make another trip south any time soon to find out. read more

From the nice young lady who took my order over the phone, to the nice man who brought out my food, curb side, they were great. To what I ordered, my family all ordered the tenders, the cucumber and tomato salad, cheddar biscuits and the Mac n cheese, all were great. The tenders were juicy, well buttered and so flavorful. We got a bunch of dipping sauces, including buffalo, and the white bbq sauce. The buffalo was GREAT, wasn't a fan of the white bbq sauce but others in my family loved it, so nothing wrong with it, just wasn't my jam. If you are in Tulsa and are tired of all the other places in Tulsa, give Waldo's a try, you will love it! read more

Just tried Waldo's and I'm so glad we did! We sat at the bar - social distancing and masks were on point. The bartender was knowledgable about the beer offerings and service was super fast. We both had the tenders with Mac and Cheese. The chicken is delicious, juicy, and very flavorful. They offer quite a few dipping sauces and we tried a variety. Very well matched with the food.
