Went here for a late weekday breakfast and there was no wait even though it is fairly small with a counter area and a room of booths around the room. I have been here on 2 other occasions & had a good experience so we decide to go to breakfast today for my husband's birthday. The waitress asked us how many were in our party & we said we have 5. She said we can't be seated tell we have our entire party here. I explained they were on there way & should be here in about 15 mins. She refused to seat me my husband and my baby. She said very sarcastically with a laugh we don't even have a table for 5 available & if we did can't you see we are very busy!? She was very rude & not accommodating. I have never been told at a restaurant that you need to have your entire party here to be seated. Nor was that the case when I met my girlfriend here for lunch a few months ago. My girlfriend got there before me & I met her at the table. It seemed like it was all about money for her. I felt like she wanted to pick a fight as she was very loud & confrontational when talking to me as she knew people were listening. I think she got off on that. We took our business elsewhere & we were so happy we did cause we had great service at downriver, it was a wonderful day in the end! You guys lost my business for good & I will be telling everyone how bad our experience was today. It was so disappointing this happened cause when I was there with my friend a few months ago the waitress & I connected on a personal level. She randomly gave me a stone she happened to have on her at the time for good luck with a very personal matter going on in my life! I was very excited to go back today & hopefully see her. The attitude of servers is worth the trip. The hasbrowns are crispy and buttery tasting. The prices are in line with other diners, but the ambience is superior to several, not as noisy, or as slow, or as shabby as some I could mention. Prices are in line with most others. Average greasy spoon breakfast fare at very high prices. I used to think Kalico Kitchen or Franks jammed them in till I came here. The place is small and tightly packed and can get uncomfortably warm when the weather is warm. Service is pretty aloof compared to other breakfast houses and as I said before the food was pretty unremarkable. So when you decide to rate it you have to look at less than average service, crammed quarters, very pedestrian food and to top all of that off breakfast for two topping $26 there is no value for what you get. However it is a local one-of-a-kind-spot that does have a buzz to it that makes it rather charming. 2 Stars for the first part + 1 star for the local charm and charisma of the place. Bottom Line - I probably wouldn't go back due to the high prices but I can see why some people like it in Spokane where they are used to these high prices for breakfast. SIDEBAR: Spokane has the highest priced greasy spoon breakfast places I have seen (compared to LA, Pittsburgh, Phoenix/Tucson, etc.), Maybe I'm spoiled but paying over $10 for breakfast, the cheapest food cost meal of the day is outrageous and imho an insult to the customer - just sayin. read more

A classic feel, and damn good food. Lots of options, but pretty general menu for a diner. The decor is really cozy and warm, they even have a newsletter with trivia. Getting a spot here can be tough at busy times. Nowhere to sit while you wait, and the entry way is very narrow. Last time we visited 6 people poured in behind us and it was pretty squished. Not a problem in warm weather, they're just small for the business they receive. The wait staff are all very kind, but very busy. I have never received impolite service. As for food, I haven't eaten here since going vegetarian, but I can say the parm burger is scrumptious. Thick fries. Everything I've ordered has been quality and fresh. Fully recommend checking it out. Good for breakfast dates, hangover meals, and group outings alike. I suggest you keep your party 4-under. read more

Went here for a weekend breakfast. What a cool place. There's definitely that diner-type feel to it with the bar seating in front of the kitchen as you walk in, but it also has a more homey feeling with the wood-paneling in the dining area ("It feels like a ski lodge"). I had been going to Wall Street for years, but things have changed and I will NEVER go back. My brother was in town and we were meeting for lunch. Three of the four people in our party were there, including my mother who had a stroke and my father with a bad hip. There were open tables EVERYWHERE. The staff would not seat us until the 4th person arrived, even after being told about the physical limitations of half our party. Seriously? Seriously?!?!?! Way to lose four long-time customers because you would not let two elderly people, one who is legally disabled, sit down in one of the many open tables/booths. It wasn't even the weekend! Went in for a late breakfast with a friend. Neither of us had been here before, read the yelp reviews, had to give it a try. Cute little parking lot behind it, use the door in the front. We were greeted and sat right away. Approx 8 tables, and a counter with a few bar stools. Our server was quick to grab a drink order, and offered to take our food order at the right time. She was nice, I can't remember her name though, short blonde brown hair. The table next to us said her food was really good (kahuna burger) and I overheard the table behind me say she loved her burger. Our food was served on warm plates (keeping our food warm). I ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon and eggs. My friend ordered a waffle. I liked the grilled biscuits, and the bacon, My eggs and gravy were OK. Only $29. for 2 breakfast and coffee. Tucked away in more of a residential area on, you guessed it on Wall Street is a one of my very favorite places for breakfast. You can sit at the bar and watch the kitchen prep or grab a booth, but either way you're gonna to love the breakfast. Good things come to those who wait and on a weekend you're definitely waiting. It's our weekend tradition. The place is very cozy. Staff greets you a warm welcome and they're all very nice and friendly. I like how everyone treats their guests like friends and family. It's like coming home to your childhood town and everyone is delighted to see you back. As for the food, we've tried their breakfast and lunch menu. This is the real deal! This is honestly the best breakfast place I've ever eaten at. For the love of god, the coffee is actually good! The service was spot on unlike some of the other previous reviewers. The toast was thick, the eggs perfect, the grazy was fluffy without being thick. My roomie happened to pass the wall street diner by accident and we went to breakfast there the next day. When you walk in, the atmosphere is great! Warm and welcoming, quaint with bar seating right at the door. We opted to sit at the bar and were greeted right away by what seemed to be the only waitress on staff. Two other waitresses came on shift within 5 minutes of sitting down and that's when our experience suddenly started to go downhill. The first two waitresses were talking loudly, and about their personal lives and completely ignoring the customers. The one waitress came in and pulled her hair up basically right in front of us, then went and handled food and silverware without washing her hands, all the while talking about personal stuff with the other girl. A third waitress came and sat down at the bar where we were, then all three continued to talk loudly and on and on about their nights, etc. We ended up requesting to sit in the dining room to get away from them so we could even talk. When we actually got our food, we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Though the prices were a little high, my roommate had a special for $11.00 and mine was $9.00 for the Wall Street Breakfast, we ended up spending almost $30 for breakfast with drinks. It was worth it for the food for sure, but we recommend sitting in the dining room to get away from the noisy kitchen and overly talkative staff. read more

I affirmed and he delivered.Thickest gravy ever. Tasted good, looked awful. Wish it was thin enough to pour. About as thick as mayonnaise. No toast. Coffee refills were sporadic. Omelette was good. Sausage was tasty. Rest was good, but nothing special. Hashbrowns were great. Nice crispy outside, steaming hot and fluffy inside. Coffee was ok too. Waitress may have been having a crappy morning. She was pretty crabby. Could have been a lot nicer to a lady who was having a hard time deciding where to sit. Bottom line: Probably won't be back. There are only two things wrong with this place: incompetent waitstaff (they must have a high turnover rate, I never see the same person twice) and not enough space. They have some of the best fries in the northwest, and I always leave stuffed. They get their desserts from Europa (same owners) and the peach cranberry cobbler is to die for, especially a la mode.
