Their breakfasts are really good and the service we've experienced has been great. Many restaurants that have potatoes with breakfast serve them soft with just a few browned. Here we asked for them to be crispy and that's what we got. Impressive. I recently ordered a Chef salad for lunch and was disappointed. A Chef salad is traditionally chopped lettuce with julienned ham and turkey with cubes of cheese and a sliced hard boiled egg for garnish with your choice of dressing. Theirs had chopped romaine with a little shredded chicken and tiny cubes of ham with a very small amount of -shredded- cheese and a sliced egg. It appeared to have been made from the bins they use to make their delicious omelettes and not very fresh. I will never try the Cobb salad for fear it, too, would be made that way. If they are going to have these salads on their menu it really needs to be worthy of the $10 and $12 they charge. Soooo.... We'll only order breakfast at this cozy little diner. read more

The food was "adequate" and so was the service. But only adequate. The price was very high for the quality and quantity of food. $13.50 for a burger and some fries. We won't be going back. That was the unanimous consensus of the 5 of us who went. You get a much better burger with unlimited salad or fries for $6.99 at Red Robin. My favorite breakfast place in Spokane. One of the few places where I'm not squeamish about trying something new. The eggs benedict and chicken-fried steak are my favorites, but everything is good. Nothing fancy on the menu, but it's all done right. The staff is attentive and friendly. My wife and I have eaten here dozens of times. There aren't many negatives. There has been a little variance in the food from time to time, as though one cook might be a little more conscientious than another. Also, there's a wait to be seated at times. I might have thought Frank's was the best breakfast in town, but I take it back. Wall Street is hands-down my favorite. The service is always great. I've had just about everything on their breakfast menu and don't have any criticism (which is very rare from me). The egg's benedict is great! In a world where health is a big concern I have never in all of my world travels been to a restaurant that refuses to separate the egg yoke from the whites. One of the easiest jobs as a cook. I am a healthy and cautious eater. I eat clean no matter where I am. I tried to order 3 whole eggs and 4 egg whites. The waitress proceeded to tell me that they won't do egg white. I told her that I understood that it's takes slightly longer to separate the whites and would pay extra for them. She said no and that the cook will not do it. Absolutely ridiculous especially since I was willing to pay additionally for them! Will never go back and I would encourage anyone that eats healthy to find a restaurant that cooks with their eyes open. read more

Went here for breakfast and had one of the grossest meals ever. My eggs were not cooked, nor was my bread toasted, and the bacon was burnt to almost black. Our server did not check back with us to see how things were going. When she did come to pick up our half eaten (what we could choke down) plates, I explained to her what the problems were. I also told her it was too late to fix them and that, if she would have checked with us, we would have explained to her our issues. She replied that she DID come to check on us. Just a note for that sweetheart, I have been in the industry for years and the notion that the customer is always right must have missed you entirely. We have tried multiple diners in the spokane area when visiting our daughter. I have to say this was our favorite. We went two days in a row because I craved one of their biscuits!! We have always liked Wall Street Diner. I must agree with most reviews it is quaint little diner. Service for the most part is ok. But today had to be the worst service and food we have ever experienced. First of all My husband has owned a resturant and has some experience in cooking. We order one egg, hashbrown, bacon, and toast. we asked for the eggs to be basted. (which should come out all white soft on all sides NO crusty or brown on it.) it comes to us brown edges, and fried on the bottom of egg more like Med cooked. Then hashbrowns were sort of hashbrowns cooked on johnnysalt. But what was frustrating was the waitress she argued with my husband about the eggs..she said that is a basted egg we cook them in water..well I suggest they look it up..you can cook it in water..but most of the time it is done in butter but either way you must do it quickly and cover the egg quickly with a lid of somekind. but it is done quickly. We will not be returning to Wall Street Diner not because of the eggs and hashbrowns. but because the waitress argued with us. Ms. you could of offered to take it back and have them try again. While the food is "o.k." the service was not acceptable. When my husband and I walked in we expected to be seated, and also mentioned that we "might" be joined by another couple. The response was that we could not be seated until the other couple arrived! The cafe booths were empty except for ONE couple. We were not allowed to sit down until our "possible" friends joined us. I cannot believe this place got so many stars. Then again, its Spokane, Washington so what do they know about good food? My salad had rotten lettuce, my burger was unseasoned, the coffee was brown water, the salad dressing bottles were cruddy. My wifes veggie omlette shotand water all over thethe plate, the water was tap. It's not the kind of place you can complain about because you know they will make your visit even worse if you do so i'm just going to pay the ridiculous price for the disgusting food and never return. We used to love the Wall St Diner, but think their quality has been going down hill. We went Sunday for fries and milk shakes and were very disappointed! The fries, which weren't even completely cooked, arrived piled on the plate but as we ate them, we saw that they were piled on top of big leaves of bunched up lettuce - which I guess was supposed to make the pile look bigger. They used to have great fries, but these weren't even finished cooking! The shakes cost $6.25 each and were worse than the fries - a just ok shake topped with fake, gooey, inedible "whipped cream" of some kind. They are the highest priced shakes we've seen and some of the worst quality. Also, the service wasn't friendly - no check back on how we liked our food and no thanks or goodbye when we left. We love the atmosphere here, but the higher prices, quality and service are so poor we won't be back. read more

The wait staff leaves a lot to be desired. They have a high turn over and the new hire is always sitting at the counter... even when it is busy. Can't explain it because I have been there to eat when they were busy yet had someone "waiting" at the counter but not waiting tables when it obvious they needed more help. The food is only fair. Besides being ignored when we entered after about 5 mins we were told it would be a minute. Then we were told they couldn't accomodate a party of 5 eventhough we had called ahead of time.
