Man this place is soo good! Went here for my wife's birthday. Got the crab cake and the lobster roll. The service was fantastic and the old bank converted into a restaurant is fantastic. This has a great vibe. The food had such great flavor and service was great.

Delicious, fresh seafood! Jumbo shrimp on the shrimp cocktail. And the most tender and juicy redfish for their fish and chips that day. Loved the homemade tartar sauce as well! Great service. Quiet atmosphere, but I was in for a late lunch. Would love to go back to try more!

We went for my birthday and the food was amazing! The energy as well! I had such a good time will be back. I do recommend doing reservation ahead of time! I did that and my table was ready for me as soon as I arrived

I had the best little lunch here recently and wanted to share... who else loves a wedge salad? Walloon's has a fantastic wedge salad and it's even better with some grilled shrimp. And these shrimp are enormous! They're $3 each but worth it. Grilled perfectly and not fishy at all. I had my salad, shellfish, and a glass of white wine at the bar and enjoyed a long lunch. The bartender was really cool and took great care of me. Walloon's is a place we usually go to for a nice dinner, but it's a great spot for a casual lunch too!

Have not been to Walloon's in a while. We opened the store at 11:00 today and were seated at a round table along the banquette on the northeast side facing the bar. A very nice table for enjoying this delightful bistro type venue here. Anne had, as usual, the amazing redfish dish and I the trout. Both today were cooked to absolute perfection. The broiled trout almandine was up there in the best ever stratosphere. Moist, flaky flesh, super crispy skin, perfect lemon and butter sauce. The redfish was likewise perfectly cooked as were the shrimp and mussels. That sauce is just nuts! So enjoyed our luncheon today.

I've driven and walked by this place a couple of times without giving a second thought. With Fort Worth Burger Week, I'm grateful I found an excuse to come and visit - this was my third and final stop for this burgerful adventure. The burger that was being offered was the "Walloon's Burger". It doesn't seem to be a limited time offering like the other spots I visited this week. Though there's nothing wrong with that. I'd found out soon. The burger is simple. Thick beef patty with American cheese and a dijonnaise sauce with red onion on a toasted sesame seed bun. It may not sound as wild or unique at first compared to some of the other burgers offered by other restaurants, but the burger knocked my socks off. The beef patty was juicy and packed with flavor. A simple burger executed at a high level. It was filling and went incredibly well with the fries that I got with it. Although my order was a quick pick up, I do want to say that the inside of the restaurants is absolutely beautiful. It sets the mood well with just the right amount of lighting. I didn't know prior but this place is a refurbished bank. Apparently you could reserve to eat in one of the vaults. I hope to come back one day, especially if there's a special occassion I'm looking to celebrate.

The service was great. Our server Carrie was amazing. Very attentive. Good energy. All of the food was scrumptious. Steak frites, braised short ribs, burger all spot on. The bbq shrimp had a unique flavor. Fried calamari was cooked to perfection. The seafood tower had a dozen oysters, shrimp. Tuna crudo and a seafood dip. The redfish dish came with shrimp and mussels. The broth was so tasty. The lobster roll was so good. Plenty of lobster and well seasoned. Seafood mac and cheese had a creamy sauce. We had peanut butter cheesecake, bread pudding , chocolate mousse, and the brownie sundae. They were all yummy. The drinks were all delicious. Nothing disappointed us. The restaurant had a good vibe. Perfect lighting and plenty of seating. They validate parking so it is not hard to get a parking spot. Will definitely be back.

We celebrated my wife's birthday at Walloon's and had a fantastic dining experience. We had a party of 12 and our server took really good care of us. We started off with some appetizers- seafood mac n cheese, calamari, and oysters. I did not partake in the oysters this time but all my friends said they were good. The seafood mac n cheese was great; it was creamy and they didn't skimp on the amount of lobster and crab. It's listed as an entree and for me it would be on the smaller portion size, but for an appetizer it was great. The calamari was great. You could smell how fresh it was and the batter was light and crispy and perfectly seasoned. It was served with a spicy remoulade and some other kind of red cocktail sauce. A great starter! For my meal I had the lobster roll which was knock your socks off good. Good sized portions of lobster inside a homemade roll and that didn't fall apart as I attempted to get my mouth around it. I substituted fries for the chips and felt really good about that choice. My wife ordered the steak frites cooked medium and thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. This place is an old bank building so it has a vault room that you can reserve for a party of 4. It has kind of the "old fashioned" vibe inside and their craft cocktail menu reflects that. This is a good spot for seafood in Fort Worth.

Walloon's is a really beautiful restaurant that reminds me of the east coast where I grew up. The interior is really moody and beautiful, so I think it would be a great date night spot. We went for brunch and I was a little disappointed by the menu selection. There were not a ton of options, particularly for vegetarians or those who don't like seafood. I get that this is a seafood restaurant, but it would be nice to see a few more vegetarian options beyond pancakes. The french onion dip was my favorite thing I've eaten in a while! I'd go back just to get that again. The eggs and bacon brunch meal was not very good for the price. Everything was dry, so I wouldn't reorder that. Our server was really polite, but he did not check up on us often. Water refills were slow and we had to get up and ask for our waiter to be sent over with the check because he wasn't coming back and we had theatre tickets. I'd give Walloon's another shot as I think there's a lot of promise there! It is really a beautiful place.

Outstanding experience! SERVERS are perfectly attentive & make great menu recommendations. MENU is delectable "southern comfort, coastal style" so think fish & seafood (incl. fresh oysters) but also steak, burgers, salads, sandwiches. BONUSES - full bar & creative bartenders. DECOR is a former historic bank bldg that is now a rich balance of leather, wood, & white/black tile. LOCATION - Magnolia @ Hemphill is just minutes from downtown, & Walloon's validates the adjacent parking garage. TIPS: Trout Almandine is best ever eaten (no kidding). Enjoy!

Great seafood spot in the heart of Fort Worth- went for a date night/getaway in Fort Worth with my wife of 24 yrs. We loved it - the staff was super accommodating and the menu selection was perfect. We wanted some fresh seafood, and didnt want to have to go to one of the 5 $$$$$ spots . Walloon's is locally owned, and very reasonable, with a fantastic decor and very classy vibe. The drinks were top notch - we had gin martinis, vodka martinis, and sampled fresh oysters, specials off the menu, and had a dessert - and everything was very reasonable - at a typical high-end steakhouse, the price would have been double. We plan to return! (and the neon sign outside is fantastic - full of character!

Went for the biscuits, but our very wise waitress, Adriana, warned us that the biscuits were made with lard. Well that knocked out a bunch or breakfast options. She was so sweet and actually went to the kitchen and marked the menu pointing out lard-free menu choices. On the menu. Using black ink dots. Above and beyond. So we regrouped our breakfast plans and went mainly vegetarian. The Herbivore was absolutely delicious! Antebellum cheese grits topped with garlicky kale, romanesco and a soft boiled egg. We added a second egg. Split with my hubby. So good!! My sister-in-law had the brioche French toast. French toast topped with honey better, fresh berries and pecan granola. Served with maple syrup. Amazing! Added the duck fat breakfast potatoes. Who knew that the flavor would be so enhanced with the onions, peppers and duck fat. Get this side! We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.

I came here today a little after 5pm and did not get a greeting like everyone else did when I walked into the door. They were pretty busy with to go orders around this time. There is an entrance area where you order and pay for your food and a separate area for dining in. I ordered a catfish fillet with Mac n cheese and sweet potatoes and fried shrimp basket with fries and greens to go. I ordered at 5:15 and got my food at 5:45 and let me tell you, it was the longest wait of my life. I think the A/C must've been broken because it was hot in the waiting area and it didn't help that one of the front desk girls kept complaining about them still being open for another hour. There were a bunch of flies everywhere and the front area doesn't seem to be cleaned throughout the day. I also feel for the woman who puts the plates together because she's doing it by herself and was constantly asking the front desk girls to bag the orders. She stayed calm though and still greeted people as they were coming in. Now for the food. The shrimp basket was $25.99 and the catfish was $19.99. The shrimp was good, kids approved. The catfish was good too. All the food was made fresh to order so I can appreciate that for quality. Onto the sides. I think the French fries were accidentally season with sugar instead of salt. The greens were ok, just drenched with garlic. The Mac n cheese, ehhh. I was looking forward to the Mac n cheese but it wasn't as cheesy as I was expecting but tasted ok. The sweet potatoes were really good, probably my favorite side out of the four. The cornbread was moist and good. Overall, food was good but definitely overpriced. However, I do support small businesses but still think it's a bit overpriced based on portion size. They do require you pay for your food before you sit down if you are dining in. This may be because of too many incidents where people dine and dash. I do think that the lady behind the counter putting the plates together needs better help. No offense to the young girls they have working there but either train them or get someone who can actually do the job. If you are looking for true southern food, this ain't it. Texas food vs. southern food are 2 completely different things which I am learning the hard way now having lived here for a year.

We opted to go for straight up meat and potatoes. Let me tell you the Wagyu ribeye Tomahawk was the bomb the meat melted in your mouth and they also give you tons of their potatoes and all the sauces that you can try. I personally had a bone out ribeye and I opted for the garlic Demi glaze. You have to get the Demi glaze. It's simply amazing. I could probably drink the whole freaking thing. Every person at our table was trying to steal my demiglaze. The meat was simply the most tender juicy thing I've ever had. I don't think they need to give me even a steak knife to cut this. It was flavorful tender, and the best cooked steak I've ever had. We will be back after I get out of my meat coma.

First, major credit to Avery and Nancy, who were incredibly kind and patient considering we arrived fairly close to the end of lunch service before the restaurant closed for its afternoon break. We never felt rushed, which I really appreciated. I started lunch by ordering another cocktail (which may or may not have had me buzzing a little by this point) along with the 12 oz. prime rib steak served with buttery herb mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and chimichurri sauce. I'll admit, the steak was thinner than I expected for Texas (I sort of anticipated a Flintstones-sized slab of beef) but honestly? It was fantastic. Juicy, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth tender and cooked perfectly! The mashed potatoes were rich and even the vegetables were great! My dining companions ordered a bit lighter fare, I believe a salad and grilled cheese, but I was far too focused on my steak situation to pay close attention. I left absolutely stuffed and very, very, very happy about it. The atmosphere here is upscale without feeling pretentious. Between the Western inspired decor and the relaxed energy of the Stockyards area, it feels welcoming. Also worth noting: apparently bachelorette parties featuring men in cow-print overalls are welcome here too, so truly something for everyone. Great service, great food, and a really enjoyable dining experience overall. I'd happily come back the next time I find myself in Fort Worth!
