Apparently it's easy to steal here! I bought a couple hair clips and it's definitely my fault for not double checking for theft and unfortunately did not have the complete set of hair clips I bought. It's not always that this would happen.. only for loose untagged items I guess. But my other set of clips are fine. Both me and the first cashier didn't catch the stolen clip. I threw the receipt away right at the entrance so I probably won't be able to return it. I called them a few times and got hung up on, so I thought I should try a few more times. This is extension-#0 for front desk by the way. But always check your things for merchandise belonging to Walmart for theft. Since stealing is incredibly unnoticed here. read more

If you're ever in a bind to find something decently priced in Huntington Beach this Walmart is the place. I must say this is one of the cleaner Walmart I have been to. I always end up going late night so I'm not sure if it's fully stocked and neat because of that but it always is. Again I go late so most of the team members are not as Jolly, even though they are helpful and polite. read more

Huntington Bch Walmart is my go to. I do a lot of online Walmart orders and the HB store has excellent return policy. Always the smooth process. Also Manager Mark - the guy with the great hair and fantastic work ethic .... HB is lucky to have him. Exemplary employee. Give that guy a raise!! read more

I was directed to this Walmart location to process the refund that Western Union issued after I purchased three money orders for my rent payment, following a lost letter in the mail. Upon arrival, I waited in the customer service line for an extended period. When I finally approached the counter, an employee named Joseph requested my original receipts, which I did not have and were not necessary for the transaction. I had been provided with a Money Transfer Number (MTN) and had my California driver's license, but Joseph still refused to assist me. He instead asked me to step aside and involved security staff. As a registered 40-hour security guard, I was able to de-escalate the situation, but the store manager was called and failed to intervene. Ultimately, I left the Walmart location and went to an Albertsons, where I was treated professionally and received my refund within five minutes. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied with the level of service at this Walmart. It's unfortunate, as I have encountered similar issues with the staff being unhelpful in the past. Additionally, the parking lot environment was concerning due to the presence of homeless individuals and other disturbances. I will do my best to avoid this location in the future and seek service elsewhere. read more

I had a repeated offensive treatment at this branch by Krissy! I had my receipt from yesterday and she incompetently accused me of me of returning the wrong water filter! She kept me waiting 10 minutes for the manager! The manger asked me to bring the box and I did. Finally, they gave my refund! The Customer Service staff are terrible at this store! read more

So this is the closest Walmart to our new place. WTF no alcohol? I'm not sure if I can handle it. Besides that, they have pretty much everything you need plus what you don't need and buy anyway. With our new place we've had to buy a garden hose, floor lamp, cat food, mayo, dishwashing liquid/sponge because we can't figure out where we packed it (!!) - the usual weirdo, varied things you need when you move. Folks here have been nice. At least they hire plenty of employees unlike a CVS. read more

App is not working I had to wait an hour under the sun to get my order come out.. the curbside pickup number does not exist on the app. You have to go inside and wait in line to get your stuff of course after waiting a damn hour and realizing by yourself that it's not working! Walmart has the worst phone service. They open at 6 am and its now 8;30 am . I have called at least 15 time to every department and not one person answered the phone for one simple question. Where you return an item is never open when I go in .its is very inconvenient to go back at another time to return and Item. I like to shop early. First I tried to return my purchase the other night at 7:15pm. The 3 ladies working there told me that customer service was closed & wouldn't be open til 7am the next day. So I came back in the middle of a weekday & found a very long line, with only one employee working. Another lady in line told me that the ladies room was in terrible condition. I find it hard to believe that the dollar value of loss due to theft is greater than the dollar value of lost sales due locking things up in cabinets and making it impossible for customers to BUY these items. WARNING - FRAUD!!! Do NOT purchase a SecureSpend prepaid Mastercard from any Walmart! Either employees, customers or both have fraudulently compromised the cards and have access to the account numbers. Walmart refuses to do anything about it - they will refer you to the company that makes the cards. The SecureSpend company wants to mail you paper work, then you must return it, then they Might issue a refund - which might take up to 90 days. I don't think so. read more

I hate this store so much the employees are very very unintelligent and unorganized. Their was only one teenager that was actually willing to help me once he realized the rest of his coworkers are utterly useless. I just asked to open one locked cabinet for a calculator and it took over 30 minutes. The calculator wasn't even the right one because there unorganized shelves and I was unable to see any of the calculators. This is one of my worst experiences I have ever had with a store. PLEASE get your employees back in training, or get more employees this should not be happening at such a massive store. read more

I would advise you to be careful when you drop off photos at Walmart (8230 Talbert Ave. Huntington Beach) I went today (April 24) to pick up my photos and I was told by the manager Diane that photos are thrown out after 60 days. I was never informed of this when I dropped off my two disposable cameras nor was I contacted prior to my photos being thrown out. When I was at Walmart photo back in October (six months ago), the associate could not find my photos initially but took the time to keep looking. Eventually, the photos were found in another area. They were not filed under my last name. My concern is that Diane did not even bother looking for my photos. She does not care about my photos. What if they are in another location? She opened the drawer and did not see my photos filed under my last name and told me that "They were gone." Whatever happened to polite customer service!? Her attitude was cool and uncaring. This surprised me because photos are precious memories of my family. Diane was delighted to share with me that my photos were gone. My pick up date was January 27 but when I came to pick up my photos twice, they were not ready. I would like to call first before driving to Walmart but I cannot get through to the photo department on the phone. I had submitted two disposable cameras. I was told that it was difficult to determine when photos would be developed and that it was only an estimated time. The photo department at Walmart is not effective and efficient nor do they operate in a timely manner. They operate in a manner that works for them. The customer is not first or valued. Diane told me that since she has taken over, photos that are not picked up are thrown away. She told me that I had the option of redoing them. I explained that they were two disposable cameras. She said, "They're gone." without a care in the world. Diane is heartless, rude, and unhelpful. I am concerned that someone so callous and uncaring runs the photo department at Walmart. Photos are personal items that cannot be replaced especially if they are film. Few places develop negatives anymore and I am glad that Walmart does develop photos. I am surprised that my photos were thrown out without any notification. Disposable cameras are film so they are irreplaceable. Anyone with basic knowledge knows that so I am surprised there was no effort to contact me. Stay away from the photo department at Walmart! Their goal is to make a profit. They could care less if things are done well or done right. They are out to make money and that is it. Whether or not they do a good job is not a priority. read more

This place is like lord of the flies.. bunch of kids running around confused and acting like idiots. Waited in my car forever for pick up for almost half an hour and no one came.. then all of a sudden the status showed picked up. So I went in and the kid in there was trying to argue that they had delivered it to me.. haha. Then some other kid shows up with half my stuff inside the store and the first person says someone already delivered the other half to me.. what?? Then the first person says they have to go on break and they take off.. at this point, I can't take any more idiocracy so I just grabbed what I was owed off the shelf and bounce.. and no alarms so security is on point too. My daughter bought a starters Lego set with her own money. When we got home and opened it there was Lego's from a different set. Drove back that day to return and buy a new set only to get out to my cat and the next set had the same problem. Tried talking to a manager about it and he could care less. I did an online order for Black Friday for an Xbox bundle and financed through Affirm since it was only $30 a month. Went to the store for pickup, and the box was severely damaged. It looked like someone used a box cutter on it and that the product was possibly dropped. I requested a replacement and they tried to convince me to take it home since it was just the exterior sleeve and box. I told them no, and that I wanted it swapped out for another one. They then told me they couldnt do that because it was tied to a serial number and that I would need to return it and then purchase a new one. I told them this was not acceptable and that I financed it through Affirm which would cause an issue.. I asked to speak to the manager. He went and found a replacement and told me to go to customer service with him. He then returned the xbox and then scanned the new one. He then asked me for $450... I told him that it was financed so I wouldnt have to pay the $450 all at once. He then told me I have to order it online with Affirm again since they dont do that in store. I spent about 45 minutes of my night there and left empty handed. It's ridiculous they couldnt just give me a replacement after seeing that the original was damaged. Time wasted. My husband and I had the most ridiculous experience at this store. We wanted to buy men's underwear and found they were locked up. So, we pressed the button, waited a long time, no one came. We went on to other parts of the store and ran into an associate. We asked about the men's underwear. He was just clocking in but would try and find someone. We asked another associate, it was not her department. A few minutes later we ran into another associate. We were informed that the woman with the "keys" was stationed at the fitting rooms and couldn't leave. She then recommended we come back another time. Are you kidding?! Why would we ever come back to this store again? So many things are locked up. I get it, thief is running rampant. However, paying customers should not have to "come back another day". We walked out, never to return. I would rather shop at Walmart but must order online to get what we need. This type of nonchalant customer service is what drives people online to make purchases.
