Terrible customer service. I ordered the 1 hour photos.. it was only 30 4x6 pictures. I received an email after placing my order that it would be delayed (didn't say how long) I waited 4 hours and went into the store. The lady didn't even come assist us until we literally yelled to get her attention even after making eye contact with us at the counter multiple times. She told us our order would've be ready until 130pm so another 3-4 hours.. why offer 1 hour printing when you can't fulfill that ? And the lady just walked away after telling us our order isn't going to be ready. And didn't let us know there was a machine right there that could have printed off our images in 5-10 minutes. That would have been nice to know. Thank you Walmart for your terrible customer service. Also we still had to come back hours later and pay for our "1 hour photos" in full. Don't offer a service you can't provide. Needless to say they won't be taking my money again. read more

This Walmart is sometimes off but there's one person who made it a perfect trip there ! Demian from electronics was so helpful , he was packed with so many rude customers and he was able to still manage and help all of them without any help and remained calm and kept customer service at its best , I asked the kid if he was a lead or a manager since he was on it and unfortunately he said no , so this place should recognize his hard work ! This incident occurred in the garden center check out where me and my family were racially profiled from the African American Older Lady who was the cashier who declined helping us because my basket had medium groceries un the basket which the African American family before me had a bit more yet me my disabled Autistic son and wife were told by this cashier she can't help us we need to go to the front. I asked why was the family before us helped she said sorry i cant help you i said ok lets go to the manager she stated "I DON'T CARE" , My wife said you should care this is your job. Very close to work and I usually can go during my lunch break and beat all the crowds to purchase a few items. Normally I already know what I'm looking for so I can get in and get out quick. If you happen to go anytime after noon, expect long lines typically. Most of the time items are in stock but if you have a question about an item, usually the associates cannot offer much information. There is an Auto service center here but I have never used it. I usually work on my vehicles myself. I always wait till I need a few random, odd type items that I know for certain I can find here. That works well for me here because I just come during my lunch and snatch up a few quick items and get on my merry way. They are open 24 hours year round as far as I know still, which is ultra convenient for anybody. read more

Close to work and it has some grocery in case I need to pick something up so it suits me just fine. I like where this is located, by the dollar store and grocery store in case I can't find what I'm looking for at the other places good old Walmart will have it. You can always count on Walmart when you need spaghetti noodles, socks, toilet paper and floss. The random shit I buy sometimes makes me giggle and remember one time a friend dared another friend to go up to the register with a bottle of lotion and a copy of cat fancy.....do they even make that magazine anymore? Anyhow Walmart is always my go to for random! Nothing fancy here but it is a lot better than the Walmart in my hood. There are a few occasions that i go to Walmart. Come here to stock up on goodies for the movies. Movie candy is way overpriced, while Walmart seems to have the same large box for a fraction of the price! Sugar Babies, Junior Mints, Reese's Pieces, Milk Duds, Peanut Butter M&M's, and more, all for 98¢! Time for an change oil? The same brand motor oil is $2 cheeper per quart than your favorite auto parts store. Multiply that by 5 quarts, and you save yourself $10. Buy the 5 quart container you save another buck or two. The oil filter is also about $2 cheeper too. Do yourself a favor and save your money for gas. Those tubular plastic hangers that cost about $3 - $4 elsewhere are just over $1 for a pack of 10 or 12. So Walmart is not all cheepy crap, they do have name brand items at discount prices. The parking lot can get crowded and there can be some sketchy characters about but its fine, but if you really want to avoid that just get there before 10 am. read more

I usually go here and everything goes pretty well. Today an older African woman Walmart employee harassed me about taking my stuff out my cart so I didn't miss a scan when there was enough space in my cart to scan without missing a scan like she said. I continued scanning my items inside my cart and she stood there looking and made remarks. I tried to ignore her but she wouldn't go away and still saying things under her breath. In other words she tried to tell me to take my items so I wouldn't steal... I felt very disrespected because in other stores I never had this issue or was asked to take every item out of my cart. I stop in here when I need to get loose end items: nail polish remover, tweezers, batteries, a card, etc. It serves it's purpose but there is nothing spectacular here. Service could improve in the fabric and electronic area. Sometimes there will be no one and sometimes there is someone lacking basic knowledge about the products and/or is unfriendly. Also, the food is crap! Like seriously if you are going to go grocery shopping here you might as well go to the Dollar Tree next door because they sell the same Little Debbie Hostess snack. I wish I could award the Walmart on Murphy Canyon Rd less than one star. I've been shopping there since the day it opened. Their store products have a guarantee of quality ..stating just return the package for replacement of money back. No receipt necessary. However, they refuse to take back food even if it's unopened. I filed a complaint with Walmart customer service after my Great Value (Walmart brand) milk went bad, They volunteered that "someone importnt" would call me back. Three additional phone calls later, I rec'd a call from someone named Chase wjp works at the store on Murphy Canyon. He informed me that since i hadn't retained the receipt, I was unable to get a refund or replacement -- ie just the opposite of the company policy. BeWare of this Walmart. I did a few returns and had my receipts,CC and DL . She was trying to say I couldn't return my stuff because my first return was used on my wife cc even though I had her card and receipt. I informed her that she could just do the return I've done it multiple times in the passed as long as I had my if and receipt. I asked for manager and basically she got a lesson on how to do her job right to Front of everyone She then was just rude the whole transaction saying this isn't on the receipt and I had to show I Her it was. If you hate your job find another do not take it out on the customer. WALMART running a business is more than just making money. If I could give this Walmart, located on Murphy Canyon Road in San Diego, a "0" rating - I would!!! I just left this store and very disappointed with at least one employee who sits (not stands) by the entrance. As I was walking in with my Starbucks coffee, she immediately stated that I had to leave the drink outside as Walmart had changed their policy of eating and drinking in the store as of January 1st. She also said that there are signs posted all over the outside of the store stating this. As I returned to my vehicle to leave my "iced coffee" to melt in my car for the next hour, I returned to the store and only found one sign that said "No alcoholic drinks are allowed in the store". Yet as I was checking out, I see next to me a couple who had their 30 pound dog on a leash waiting in line to check out! So I had to ask myself, it's ok to let animals in the store but I am not allowed to bring a coffee in while I am shopping? Believe me, I am not saying that if someone needs their "emotional support animal" to shop, I get it! I, too, have an "emotional support animal" (with the proper documents) if I need to shop at Walmart but I guess looks like I might in the future. Since this experience has only left me feeling pissed off and bewildered at the hypocrisy of the store! I have not been to this Walmart in a quite awhile and it has not been a secret to my friends and family that this store, in my opinion, has gone down hill in the last 10 years, but today just reaffirmed my dislike and distain for the employees who pick and choose what guidelines they decide to follow on any given day! Recommendation: Have someone check in with the customers to ensure they aren't standing in line for 45 mins to an hour for services you don't provide. Like all other Walmarts, this place has campers in the parking lot and a variety of characters roaming its aisles. There is always plenty of parking but the inside of the store always seems to be crowded. In order to avoid some of the unsavory characters roaming the store, I tend to do my shopping online during lunch and pick up my orders on my way home. I highly recommend this to people who like to hate on Walmart. I have had really good experiences with the pick-up center employees. Their manager, Jesse was particularly helpful on one occasion where I made a mistake and he rectified it. If you do go this route just make sure to check the pick-up center open and closing hours. read more

You immediately feel as if you are going to get robbed in the parking lot and not much better inside. (Shouldn't expect any less from Walmart.) once inside I only wanted a $7 bike lock which were all in a locked case. Pressed the button to have someone come help a couple of times in the 10 minutes I waited. I finally went to ask someone for help and they said there were only two people that BBCould assist and they were on break. Finally after going and finding a manager I was able to get the $7 bike lock and purchase it. Should have taken 5 minutes but ended up being a 45 minute ordeal. read more

They don't pick up the phone here ever. So while I was waiting to get my tire changed, I tried to figure out why. I called from inside the store , and saw the phone lights go on, but none of the associates pay attention to it . Seems like a store policy . So I spoke to the manager Veronica, and she said it's not her department . That there is a different phone manager in the fitting room . Asked around, the other employees all said such a thing doesn't exist . One told me they have someone in the fitting room picking up the phone but they only work from 1 to 8. My BF and I went there last night around 10:30 to get a few things like fish food and fish tank filters, milk etc. It wasn't very busy so we thought we could get in and out relatively quickly, as it wasn't a leisure trip.we got our things then decided to check out the games in the clearance section, behind lock and key, for which we needed to go find the clerk to open it. My BF found the clerk by the cash registers on a stool, nodding off with his phone in his hand. After rousting him, the man proceeded to amble EVER SO SLOWLY to where we asked, then fumbled with the locks to get the case open. My BF made his selections very quickly, and the clerk said he'd carry it over to the register for us to check out. Another 3 minutes fumbling with the locks! Then, along the way, some other guy asked him for something and he MEANDERS AWAY IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION while the other customer peppers him with technical questions OF COURSE the clerk had no answers. I saw this unfolding so I just said politely, "are you coming over to the register now?" For which the clerk looks up, GLARING at me , and says "I'm on my way!!" In a nasty condescending tone. Okay I said, went dutifully over to the register to wait until he finally told the dude he didn't know squat. So he comes back, goes behind the counter, takes out his phone, starts looking at it, going to sit on his nap stool and mess with a cabinet with his back to me. "Are you going to check us out now?" I said, irritatedly He gives me another look with daggers says "I'm just gonna close this cabinet and be right over !" Again rude AF I said okay That's when he manages to stuff his phone in his back pocket, and TAKE OUT A PIECE OF HARD CANDY, UNWRAPS IT LEISURELY, pops it in his mouth, still perched on his stool I LOST IT I said, "NOW what are you doing????? You said you were doing it NOW?" He looks like he'd kill me and starts to stroll snail like over , still wishing he could throttle me, and THEN : a homeless dude asks for a game to look at. Jesus. I like this Walmart it's 24 hours and great return policy. Like most busy stores they do run out of stock but that's just how retail goes. If you want fast check out go to the garden or automotive section or just come early or late those are your options. Also they have express lanes and self service check out. You have to be a savvy shopper to know what is a good deal or what you can get for less with coupons at Von's next door. There is a McDonalds if you are into that sort of stuff so you don't buy too much of whatever food they have leftover from the rummage sale which is what the shelves look like. Now I was in the beverage industry and Walmart get merchandising priority the get deliveries and merchandising twice a day at least from Pepsi and Coke! So when the shelves are blown out it's not the employees it's the customers coming in to wipe the place out! read more

Because the employees alone are a reason why I was going higher on the star rating. They have the usual Walmart store stuff. Nothing out of the ordinary. I'm only giving them 3 stars because they ultimately resolved my problem. I bought tires on 6/25 and when I left the center I realized there was a problem. My car seemed to be all over the road. I returned to Wal-Mart only to be greeted by the shop manager that was just negative, and saying the problem was the car. Idiot. Almost got into a yelling match with him and then had to speak to the tire center manager to explain the whole mess, which included the billing as well. Walmart tells you one price for the work to be done; then the work they do is not what was discussed, and then still charge you more. I should have known to go to tire professionals for tires. There was this lovely woman Carol, or Carolyn, working at the self check out. I asked her if I could leave my things, run to my appointment and come back and purchase them. I came back, and she had them all right there waiting for me. She was so kind and generous. That little act of kindness truly made my day.
