This store is a joke! We went to get a few small things and decided to look at the mattresses because my nephew had bought one and raved about it. While looking at mattresses a fire extinguisher was knocked off the wall and it took over five minutes before anyone responded. Retardant was all over the place. Once people finally came to begin cleaning they were slow to put up wet floor signs. We went back and decided to get the mattress because $299 for a Kong size mattress was an amazing deal. When we were checking out we rang up the mattress and it came out $70 more than what the tag said. The person who came to assist us said she couldn't do anything because it was over $25. She then proceeded to tell us how awful Walmart was and how she's leaving in January. So basically the associate didn't care. We refused the mattress and left. read more

On Sunday I will laced a grocery delivery order, I got a text stating my order was at my front door. The new not thing at my door was Snow. I tried to call both the driver and the store, no answer so I called call company customer service they couldn't get through to the store either. I finally got a redelivery late that night. Well guess what I placed another order this morning to be delivered between 4:00-5:00. I got a text they were running late, I no more read the text and a knock on the door and I opened it and there was a box of coffee, (which I did not order). I called the driver back and he was very rude and told me not to use DoorDash, I think led him I bordered through Walmart website. I called Corp customer service again he told me I got somebody else's coffee but where is my grocery order. This is BS, 2 orders on 2 days screwed up! Been here if not a thousand times, they never have anything stocked and that's never bothered me until today when they said my $100 that i was paying with was "fake". I thought I was going to brave the Saturday crowd waltz right into Walmart and find my taro ant control. WRONG‼ I should have known better. First problem was in the parking lot. Found a parking space but there was a woman standing at the end of it gesturing at me. I never did figure out what she wanted but I did finally get to park. I made a complete half circuit of the store looking for pest control products. There was not an employee insight on that whole walking trip. finally decided to go outside and search garden goods. Finally found them and they occupied about a2 foot space on a shelf. No Tarro. I stood near the cosmetic department with my phone to search for Terro at other stores. HOORAY, Home depot has it Every time I visit Walmart I am reminded of why I hate to shop there. read more

Sadly this is my local Walmart. At one time it was a decent place to shop...no more. For several years normal products, including the the Walmart value brands are regularly out of stock with 50% of shelf space empty. Now a remodel is in full affect locking everything down in the store...including shaving supplies that are now in cosmetics and have to be paid for before leaving an enclosed area. What a joke! None of the snow and slush were either plowed or shoveled from any of the handicap parking spaces. The sidewalk had not been cleared either. The main road however in front of the store and along the parking spaces we're all plowed. Anyone with a walking handicap would have had a lot of difficulty navigating the terrain. So occasionally you run into something that is better than anticipated but it is still honestly where that place is the best of the bad that i have been too... thus they are average with the real world... surprisingly enough, I actually got an itty bit of customer service here... O_O Regardless of that this place is nothing special. It is the average expectation that I have of every store and they barely made it to average. None the less, the sporting goods/gun dept allowed me to pick up some ammo for my shotgun and unfortunately had zero .22's and none coming in that we could figure out on any random timeline. I wish they did I would have bought as many bricks as I could have. None the less this store still had stuff from every department left haphazardly around the entire place. Seriously I don't think I have been to a single walmart that ever cleaned up all of the random drop offs during the day. *shrugs* At least the folks in sporting goods were helpful and had a smile on their faces. This store needs a new manager like yesterday! The shelves are always bare, there are always unmanned flats blocking the aisles and trash everywhere! You can never find an employee, they must all be smoking out back. I did once find an employee but I think she was a mute because I had to ask her 3 times if she worked there before I a got a barely discernable nod of her empty head. When it rains, you find all the carts are in the parking lot, not one to be found in the store! I realize it's Walmart but there are other Walmart stores that are not like this one. It appears that this store has improved greatly in the year or so since Lakewood G. reviewed it. I can't speak to the state of the stock in groceries or the garden center, but I noted, as I was walking a diagonal path beginning near groceries at the front, and ending at the back where electronics are located, that the stock appeared ample and well displayed. The store was clean as well. At about 4PM on a Thurs. parking was kinda tough because the entire half of the lot nearest the store was filled, so this location is quite popular. My mission: To find an inexpensive laptop computer that my geeky friend will strip Vista from and Install XP PRO. A little spying revealed a Dell Inspiron 1521, on sale from $750 to $450 with 160 MB, 2G, and 1.8 MHz (I hope I've termed this last bit correctly), and an AMD processor that says it's 2X. Ben I, another geek, has confirmed that these are pretty good attributes for the price. The screen is larger than my old laptop, but not the really big size that a lot of new laptops are. I'd say it's around 16". Mostly, I was waited on by an electronic dept. employer who looks like the very funny character Sock (played by Tyler Labine), from "The Reaper." WalMart's Sock didn't realize he could sell me the display item, so I hung around the cash register while he called two other stores (Kietzke and North Towne) to see whether they had any of these puters in stock (they didn't). The manager said they could sell me the one from the display case because I don't think they are getting any more of these. The case is locked down behind clear plastic. You get no discount since no one has used the puter which has never been turned on or used. It's purely there for looks. For an additional $25 or $30 dollars, I bought a fan stand that holds your laptop and keeps it cool with two built-in fans that wick the heat away from the laptop. I use my laptop on the kitchen or patio tables, and leave it on almost constantly except when I sleep. Since my other Dell laptop (one I've had for 7 years!), has suffered only from fan breakdowns, but has had 3 fan replacements, I thought this gizmo might be a good investment. My friend has picked up a few groceries for our Yelp Potluck pool party and the electronics cashier made checking out easy by ringing up the puter and groceries at this station where there was no line. I like the return policy allowing 15 days to bring the computer back as I am trying to install XP Pro and all the drivers on it. I don't want a machine stuck with Vista so Wish me luck. Overall, this was a fast and pleasant shopping experience. My biggest complaint is that none of the cell phones with key pads have batteries, so just like the computers that Wal-Mart stocks, you can't try these items before you buy. Wal-Mart ought to rethink that policy. read more

On their printed receipt it says in the bottom you can scan it in walmart app to save it. I went to make a return and they said they don't accept receipt save on the phone? What the heck! Lol I called corporate just to make sure that it is true and they said it is not. That's why they have that service to save your receipt in case you lose the printed one. They need to educate their customer reps and have them have more customer service classes lol... they were rude. I was just explaining to them and the attitude they gave me was frustrating and all they can say all Walmart are different. read more

Although I hate much of what Walmart stands for and have only been inside two times, in a time of desperation and when in need of cheap chinese made products, well, you deal with the devil. On our way up to Black Rock City last week we had to stop for a cheap bike. After cruising into this massive hangar of a building that probably has it's own zip code and has at least one and possibly two starbucks, I found my way to the bike section and started the test driving. That's right, test driving. The rules don't apply in this country of Walmart and therefore you can do whatever the hell you want. I ended riding my bike around the store for about 30min, popped a few wheelies, ate some ice cream, picked up some toys and rode my bike right out the store. Nobody even blinked an eye. All in all it was a surreal experience that I don't need to replicate. Although I can't recommend supporting an institution that sends worthwhile skilled jobs that pay well over to China in exchange for throwaway consumerism, I did find a little joy if only for a half hour. read more

I was assaulted and accused of stealing while shopping for a saw to trim our Christmas tree on Christmas eve 2009. I was slammed to the ground and humiliated by former coworking Walmart employees. Once my receipt was discovered in my wallet, Walmart employees then accused me of battery. Notwithstanding the fact, RPD recovering my receipt of purchase from my pocket. Walmart employees still had the audacity to file a false police report to have me falsely arrested for complaining of discrimination during the the illegal detainment for theft. I was never charged with theft. I was charged with three counts battery found guilty of battery, sentenced to a fine and conviction was upheld on appeal. I am still fighting this injustice in Reno threatened by these Walmart employees, some of which my former coworkers at the Damonte Ranch Store in Reno where I was an hourly manager.. I am currently awaiting a verdict in this matter on the US District Court's docket. With the things going on today in society. If justice is not handed down from the District Court? I will ask the matter to be addressed in the US Supreme Court. read more

Absolute worst customer service. I had to use one of their self check out because they no longer have cashiers for the most part unless you need to buy cigarettes. The machine ate my money and then they refused to return it. Until they could review the tapes but there are surveillance person wasn't going to be there for a while. So I had to either wait there until at their convenience can get their surveillance person to come review the tapes to see if I can actually put cash in the register, or just leave. As this whole issue was occurring all the managers were laughing in my face because I had to leave to go pick up my four-year-old son from his bus stop. I will be contacting corporate and hope that I can find the general manager of your store. read more

I am in one of those groups that are supposed to get vaccinated for Covid-19 and have not , because of various reasons have not received it. While shopping at Walmart , on a whim..I decided to buck up and get the vaccine since they said on their signs that it's free and they have walk ins . Long story short they told me at the pharmacy counter that I NEEDED my Medicare card to get a vaccine. I was like "what? I thought it was free?" The Pharmacist said " it's free to you..but we have to bill someone for it, so you need insurance," WHAT? It is NOT free at Walmart and I feel bad for those that do not have insurance and want to get a vaccine on a whim...because they finally decided to do it and found out they cannot at Walmart is BS! Walmart should be ashamed of themselves. I am sure from our forms we fill their is a program for the government to reimburse them for the vaccine. So disappointed. read more

The best, and worst, thing about Wal-mart is it's employees. None of them give a flying rat's ass about anything that's going on around them. NONE OF THEM! Not even the managers. Seriously, if I were into shoplifting, this would be my go-to place cause I'm pretty sure I could walk through the line, tell the greeter, "Hey, I decided not to pay for this" and calmly walk to my car without being questioned. And you know what? If I were treated by my employers the way Wal-mart employees get treated, I wouldn't give a crap about anything either. So, onto the fun part. One of the reviewers below mentioned test driving all the bikes and riding them around the store. It's worth mentioning that you can also do this with skateboards, roller-blades, shopping carts, and pretty much anything in the store that has wheels. Need to pick up beer? Hey, crack one open and drink it while you're shopping. NO ONE WILL STOP YOU! God help you if you actually need assistance finding something, as the response you will always receive is, "I don't know, that's not my section." At this point I'm convinced that every Wal-mart employee's "Section" is either in the break room, or on an aisle in between two sections but not actually including them. Whatever... I can track down my own fishing pole if it means I can check how well it casts on the frozen foods aisle. read more

Okay, this Wal-Mart should be avoided at all costs. I mean it's bad, even for Wal-Marts. Save yourself the headache and go to another one. The service is atrocious and most of the employees are incompetent and/or just don't care. To make matters worse, they treat their customers like criminals; bag and receipt checking people in a very rude manner. I was treated so rudely by one of their receipt checkers at the exit that, upon demanding a receipt I told the guy, "not if you ask me like that". He began to follow me to the door and got a couple of his cohorts to grab hold of my cart and keep me from exiting the store. I told them they had no legal right to prevent me leaving unless they were charging me with shoplifting. They ended up calling the police to get me to show them my receipt. I later called and left a formal complaint with the store manager but he was just as rude and incompetent as the rest of the employees. He started arguing with me over the phone, telling me that his employees would NEVER have detained me for not showing a receipt and that there HAD to be more to the story.... basically calling me a liar. These people have become so belligerent that they don't even think the law and my rights as a citizen apply to them. What if I had discarded the receipt at the register? This makes me a criminal and gives them the right to falsely imprison me? Isn't this why they have all the cameras and LP staff so they can treat the real criminals like criminals? Anyway, to make a long story short I will NOT be going back there and strongly advise anyone else who values common courtesy and decency, let alone civil liberties, to do the same. read more

DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM THE DELI! I wish I could have gotten a picture. But I was so disgusted I had to leave the area. I went to get some cold cut pastrami.but while we were waiting we noticed how disgusting the meat cutter was. I'm not talking about a little mess, no. There was a full pan of standing meat water underneath it. I'm sure they don't clean it every time they switch meats, but for it to be full of nasty meat juice, I'm sure it wasn't cleaned since the beginning of that shift. It was so full it was running over. I've worked in food for a good six years. This was not sanitary. To make matters worse there was opened meats from previous customers just sitting out in room temperature. Literally on top of this meat water pan. I Cannot stress enough how much you can get sick from this. read more

Let me clear something up first. I'm giving this 4 stars simply on the basis of the other Walmarts in town. I'm in no way comparing it to stores I find superior (of which there are many!). However, of all the Walmarts available in the area, this one is king. For now, at least. A lot of reviewers gave this store a bad rap when they were undergoing the remodel. I totally get that. Because during the remodel? This place was a hot mess. Even I would have given it a 2 star review back then. And I wasn't too thrilled just after the remodel, when I had to learn where everything was again. However, now I'm used to it. Back in the day, we lived in the Northwest. I miss living there so much. And this Walmart was being built while we were there. I was rather excited because at the time I was driving clear down to Damonte Ranch to do our big monthly grocery trip and that was a pain in the rear. Finally, a Walmart just minutes from home! You know what happened next, right? Yep, we moved. SIGH. Now we're out in the North Valleys where there is NOTHING. And now we're getting our own Walmart out here. I guess that means its time to move again. ;) So maybe the new one will become my "new favorite". If it does, I will adjust my review accordingly. All that said, this Walmart is my store of choice. It's never pleasant, exactly, but this store is familiar to me, I recognize (and chat with) the checkers, I know where to find the things i need and it gets the job done. Many things could be done better but I keep my expectations pretty low. I like the organization, the location, the cleanliness, the features (McDonalds, redbox, etc). It has a better feel to me than quite a few of the other stores in the area. What else is there to say? This is "my" Walmart. I might hate it a little bit, but its family so I can't quite quit it yet. read more

We went to Walmart today and thank goodness we had time to burn. It is obvious that this store is trying to have the customer do all the work. There are few and far-between live checkers and the one we had seemed to be vacant. She asks us the price of the grapes so I did a dash to the produce section and back. Somehow she could not find the code. We prefer to pay in cash and it is clear that Walmart is trying to dissuade this option by pushing self-check out and the usage of credit cards. This is an experience we will not be repeating. Safeway here we come. We may pay more but we will save time and energy. read more

I asked for help 3 times and asked for a manager twice I ended up waiting 45 mins for someone to open the glass case to get Bluetooth headphones. I waited since I was already there but from now on I will avoid this. The young kid that helped me was very apologizing. But it amazes me that management can just let this kid take all that pressure of about 20 people waiting on him and his response was that management told him there was no one to help him. Consistently long slow checkout and management shrugs their shoulders and if they respond- it 'thats all we have". If you have plenty of extra time to hang then by all means go there, but if you care about your time, this branch of walmart is NOT the place to shop. Thats the short version- i had return problem that wasted 90 minutes and management promised twice to follow up and address (correct) the problem.
