Checking out I was charged the wrong amount and it took 45 minutes for a manager to show up and give me back the correct change. The checker was too chatty and wasn't paying attention then charged my card and didn't offer any help to fix the wrong transaction. It felt like I was basically being waited out hoping I would not stay over 4 dollars, when I asked where the manager went, I was ignored. The customer service is deplorable. I've never dealt with such horrible customer service in my life. I placed an order yesterday for delivery groceries for some reason it got delayed I tried calling no answer after two hours I began to worry so I called and called and no answer or when they do they just hang up the phone right away. I finally got through to customer service and yay the guy who answered said who would get me a manager to my surprise as I was on hold he hung up the phone right away. I've been on the phone trying to call for atleast 5 hours of my time. I finally just showed up at the curbside and honked until someone came outside the young man helped and had said my order still had to be shipped that it would take an hour for my order to be delivered it's been 3 hours and still no groceries, no answer. I am sick of this place. 24 hours no groceries. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. It's been a headache. read more

I am staying at the Grand Sierra (where I usually stay when I come to Reno) & will drive to the Walmart up 395 before I come back here. Terrible customer service. It's midnight and a ton of people here with only 3 registers open. The cashiers allowed one customer to hold up a line for at least 20 minutes. They then closed the register without saying anything (I suppose to continue to help the problem customer) & opened a new register right next to it. They allowed everyone at the end to jump in front of the people who were waiting up front. There were 3 people ahead of me (not including the woman who held up the line). I left my cart full of items in line near the register. I refuse to wait behind people who were behind me. I complained & the people basically shrugged me off. I will do with what I brought and just go to Target in the morning to pick up what I was going to buy here. read more

I placed an order for pickup at 11-12. Got notified that it was delayed. At 1pm got the it's ready message. The pickups were backed up and no employees were coming out. I called and was told they couldn't find my order and would call me. I came back at 530pm after receiving call back and again found all spots full. I called and it kept going to voicemail. I went in to find that other guests experiencing the same issue. They have tried multiple days to get their order. The manager left leaving no one to help. No one answered any phone call, in any department. No one would even go outside to tell people that their order wasn't coming. It's a mess and all they could say was cancel and they were short people. Everyone is short people and it's not okay to just ignore customers all day instead of being outside and explaining the order. The employees kept just getting rude and placing blames instead of trying to even look up anyone's order and find it. It's a mess. read more

Poor attitude, bad store policy, bad customer service. I waited in line at customer service for 30+ minutes. I bought a propane tank yesterday. I didn't have my empty tank with me. So I purchased a tank without exchange. Today I have my empty tank with me. So as I've done numerous times previous at other walmarts. I take the receipt and tank. Walmart refunds the purchase of tank without exchange and charge to tank with exchange. Essentially refunding the tank charge. Easy right. Not the case here. The customer service manager says they don't do that here. I ask for the manager. She comes up and before I even explain what the situation is she rudely says no we don't do that. I ask her to call 800-Walmart for me since I left my cell phone in my truck. She says no I can but she won't for me. So the cashier sees she is being extremely hostile and dials the number for me. I end up going to my vehicle to get my phone. I'm on the phone with customer service for 25 minutes. While on the phone I see the manager in question outside smoking and glaring at me. All while the corp customer service is trying to get ahold of the store to resolve the situation. Corp tells me they can't stay on hold because they are working. Well ya. At least this colossal waste of time they are getting paid for it. I go back inside advise another csm corporate is still on hold. The store manager finally picks up. She says that's not there policy to refund the tank price. I try to talk her through the scenario. She agrees with me but said its not their store policy to do it. But she will this one time for me. I was then told to just wait in the line again for the service counter. It's now longer. Estimated wait 45 minutes. I fail to understand why they make it so hard to do this. read more

Just ended up in this bizarre ground race with an older customer in a scootchy mobile thing. Anyway, I saw him walk out of the bathroom before he sat back down at it so he's using it to accentuate his evening, I get that. You don't know how much I get that. Sometimes you gotta scootch, dude. But I'm walking along side him and he's kind of starting to pass me so it's like, nah, no. Not doing that today. So I walk a little faster and it's not enough to keep in step with tiny wheels but I have already decided I'm not gonna run or anything like that so I have to break into this really brisk walk where I flick my foot a bit at the end of each step to generate some more ohms of energy or whatever, and I'm just neck and neck with this guy until I remember I need a tooth brush. So that happened. And then the dude on the other hover round, basically the same guy with darker hair puts out, just as I'm writing this shit, "oh hey don't your thumbs get tired?" and looks around with a smirk to see if anyone heard him. I dunno, mother fucker: Does your colostomy bag ever get tired or can you get up and go to the bathroom yourself don't worry about my thumbs. I'm 27 if I want to be a yelp celebrity I've got to commit to this shit NOW and just go all in on this game and anyway how's it that Walmart had a budget for these things at every location cause I mean I guess there are that many of you. This review is for the pharmacy. Went in to fill rx the day I got out of the hospital from spine surgery. The employee at the drop off counter was not friendly or helpful. Advised it would take 45-60 minutes for 2 prescriptions. I questioned him and stated I just now got out of the hospital and that seemed excessive as no one was in the pick up line. He started to suggest I come back. Um....NO. 30 minutes later I checked to see if my meds were ready....the check out guy was awesome....magically my meds were ready. Thanks to that guy and pharmacist for speeding things up! Not that I expected to not wait at all...but someone in a giant back brace and using a walker should not be made to wait an hour. Probably the worst Walmart in Reno, constantly see Police presence here, and it seems like this one gets all the homeless and vagrants here. What's even more annoying is they close the store now at midnight so if you need to pick something up for the next day or want a late night snack forget about it. And don't even get me started on the traffic there is basically one way in and out, and then a smaller path that only turns one direction onto 2nd street. Everytime I go there I feel like I'm going to get into a car accident. I just don't get how they justify the traffic situation at this walmart, all the other ones in Reno are wide open and have multiple ways of entering and exiting. Avoid this one if you can. read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever visited. There are 7 Walmarts in the greater Reno/Sparks metropolitan area and I only go to this one as a last resort. Everytime I try this one, I am disappointed for one reason or another and vow to NEVER shop there again. I had to go into this particular Walmart today for TWO items. They only had one of two items I was looking for and when I got to the check out I discovered only a few lanes open with 10-12 people lined up in each. GUESS WHAT??? This Wal-Mart is the worst...Right up there with Kietzke Wal-Mart here in Reno! The employees are rude and some don't know what they're doing and don't even try to find the answer when something isn't right. Last week I went to buy something in the separate cosmetics area and there was a long line. I had a grocery cart full and was on my way to the front check out anyway so I asked if I could just pay for it with my cart of items. She said no. Then I used my savings catcher money and it should've used my card on file to pay the remainder but for some reason it didn't and the register wouldn't bring up that QR box for me to scan it with my phone again. I asked the lady why it wasn't coming up and she ignored me then said she didn't know and didn't even try to figure it out or call a supervisor over to fix it. Then tonight I walked over after working at the GSR to grab a few (meaning 6) items. A pair of pants for work, disposable coffee cups, coffee creamer, taco shells, soda and hair gloss to be exact. Barely anything was stocked, no black pants in a size 4/6 and I was followed thru the store, reminded every 30 seconds that the store was closed. Meanwhile there was a line halfway across the front at the check out so there was no reason I couldn't just grab what I needed because I obviously had time! It's rude and unprofessional to treat customers like that! This will be my LAST trip to shop at this store for anything outside of the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is the ONLY good thing 2nd Street Wal-Mart has going for them. If it weren't for the awesome customer CARE we get from the pharmacy, we wouldn't shop there at all. read more

Lady in the deli was very helpful and friendly. We found everything we needed. Blueberry muffins from bakery were tasty and fresh. Carol our cashier was smiling and kind. The only reason I give it 2 stars Is because it's open 24 hours. This is the closest grocery store to me, and it doesn't matter what time of day , the lines are completely brutal. It was roughly 9:00, and I needed to pump myself up in order to go get a few necessary things. They were closing the "speedy checkout" lines . I grabbed my 5/6 items and made my way to front of the store where no more than 4 lanes were open and one express line. I am not exaggerating when I say 15 or more people in each line. The formation of the line bent, and went near the doors on the home and living section. If I really didn't need toilet paper I would have dropped my stuff and left. Who runs your front end? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize the faster you get your lines down the more money this store is going to make. Literally the only reason I push off having to go here is because I KNOW that every single time I come I will be spending more time waiting in line then the time spent actually picking the items up. So by the time I get up to check out, the girl who is cashing me out is putting tobacco away as well. I put my card in the chip reader and she walks off for 2-3 minutes to make sure the rotation on the Copenhagen was correct. Customers are huffing and puffing in line behind me, and I just wanted to scream "hit the button on the register, Lady - so I can have my receipt and get out of here!" She realizes the register is waiting for her, presses the button , giggles and apologizes that she has a lot to do tonight. For the love of God, open more registers. read more

I come here once a month to do a 'big' shop. I hate their meat selection, seems that everything has some sort of tenderizer crap added to it. Produce is decent. I do prefer the Damonte Ranch store for its layout and selection but this one is closer to my house. I know that liking Wal Mart is akin to punching puppies and kittens for some people but when money is tight and you need food or soap or shampoo, this is the place. Your guy just watched me stand at the counter for a couple minutes and finally when I walked over to him to tell him I needed his help, he actually sighed and with the biggest attitude came over to the printer section. When I asked him about a product he just pointed at what was written on the packaging (which had nothing to do with what I asked) and then finally when I go to pay, he's as unhelpful as if I were talking to a frog.
