Minus one star for spotty service, usually due to lack of wait staff or the servers paying more attention to the regulars than the non-regulars. It happens, and so do less than perfect reviews. Gotcha! Last time here, got the special of the day, Brisket Sandwich with Fries. 5/5 on that due to it being incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection. Would get that any time it's on the menu. NOT GOOD!!!! Not going to lie, we've been here before and fell in love because of the views (salads are pretty good). HOWEVER, we went again and had a very bad experience. **Nothing against the sever, she was polite and kind.** To start, we ordered the spinach dip and our chips were beyond stale. Hard to even bite into but we were given more on the house. Then, we ordered a burger... which looked like mystery meat and had several white hairs on the bottom. We also got two salads which had several wilted pieces and a quarter chunk of tomato thrown on. Also, it appeared the owner was sitting nearby and seemed to have no interest. Horrible. We won't be back. We are here twice. When asked if the broccoli would be green or overcooked the first time, I was told it would still be green, it was so awful I couldn't eat it. My husband and I have been here twice before. First time was about 2 years ago and it was good! Second time, it was "Meh"but it could have been a bad night or something. Figured we'd try one more time. So for the third time Just tried to have supper at the Waterfront in Marysville and it was absolutely AWFUL! I ordered a FULL rack of ribs and got HALF. Then, my plate was dirty with DRIED FOOD (no, not my food that was on the plate. Someone else's previous dinner). Shaun got a steak medium rare with shrimp. The shrimp was okay but the steak...UGH. It came out in 2 pieces (for one). Two, it was medium and dry, no juices leaked out at ALL when the steak was cut. We asked for the manager and he came swaggering out wearing blingy rings and his jean fly half-way down, smelling of alcohol. Told him about the dirty plate and he made a face and reached out to touch the dried food. He said he'd take it off the tab. I said "Thank you". Then I told him about the steak coming out cut in 2 and also that it was TOO DONE. Instead of ANY kind of apology, the manager wanted to ARGUE semantics about steak temperature! There was NO APOLOGY, NO OFFER to fix it, just a TOTALLY SHITTY, ARGUMENTATIVE attitude. Shaun tried to explain that he's a chef and knows about steak temps. The manager says "Well, it's a fine line. I'm a chef, too. That steak is fine. It's medium rare." Shaun was firm but actually NICE and then the manager made a comment about getting a free meal and "Doing him a favor and NOT coming back". That whole interaction was nuts!!! We weren't looking for a free meal. I ate about 2 bites of my ribs and Shaun ate the shrimp. That's IT!We would've been perfectly happy if it had been offered to be fixed. Alas, that wasn't the case. The food is always good, from the appetizers, salads, soups to entrees. I never had a bad meal here. The view from the deck overlooking the river is beautiful. It's nothing fancy. They always seem to lack in the service department. They're always under staffed with servers. They could sell a lot more alcohol if the servers had time to get around for refills. My last visit I had to physically take my bill and payment to the server so I could pay and leave. This isn't a knock on the two girls that were there. They were running their tails off. Management should hire more servers or limit the guest being seated to a more manageable amount for the servers. I keep going because I love the view and the food. read more

So- The truth is i've been here FIVE times over the last 2-3 weeks. I am now a regular customer! I've hesitated to write a good review because it feels like Marysville's best kept secret. Everything is cooked SO well, the fries are always hot and crispy. The beef cooked true. my husband absolutely hates most people's take on wings- but this place has him going back for more. The environment makes you forget that the world outside is falling apart- (but i will say they are mask compliant) they have a touchless jukebox. i can't rave about the food and drinks enough though- absolutely delicious and reasonably priced with most food being under $10 with generous portions. If you want a great drink that sneaks up on you- get the "passion." it's coconut rum, vodka, pineapple, orange, grenadine, and other juices and liquors. want to say cherry- garnished with an orange slice. it is absolutely delicious if you like the beach. If you do decide to dine here, I would recommend checking to make sure your food is completely cooked before taking a bite. I was served raw chicken tenders. I also requested no hot sauce but still was served hot sauce in a cup that was spilled all over my food when it arrived at the table. It was an overall terrible experience. A table that came in after us received their appetizer before we were even asked if we were ready to place our order. Once we received our food, we were never asked by our server if we needed anything or how everything turned out, never refilled our drinks, etc. She came back at the very end and asked if we needed anything, & at this point, some of our party had already went to the car. It is primarily an Pittsburgh Steelers fan base, but you will have no objections if you want the Eagles on a wide screen. Warning though. If you are a Ravens or Cowboy fan, you should just be quiet. Food is consistently good. Not fantastic, but it is great tavern food. Prices are fair and there are a couple rotating taps. Insider info here. If you are looking Yuengling Chocolate Porter(made with Hershey Chocolate), the Waterfront is one of the business that receives very large shipments. Just a quiet lunch stop ate on the Deck! Great wings with honey sauce (hot and sweet) they were the plain wings fried crispy no breading and just the right amount of sauce to add just the right compliment to the wings! The wings were laid atop of their crispy French Fries which allow you to enjoy more of the wing sauce while eating the fries! A Cup of Chili and some loaded corn chips were my wife's choice for lunch the loaded chips were fantastic and she actually complimented them on their chili! I'll give this place an A for effort. I picked to come here because it was a nice day and my husband and I wanted to eat by the water but we are so over the Dukes chain. We always have consistently good food here. My favorite is the crab stuffed salmon. I love their side salads and recommend the ranch dressing, is is garlicky and delicious. It can be somewhat empty in the winter, but in the summer when the deck is opened, it gets packed. Also, they do have Groupons off and on, so it might be worth getting one before you go. read more

I will leave a more full review after we eat. I made a reservation for 7 of us on the patio. When we arrived the patio is half full and they sat us immediately in the middle of the patio. There was an open table next to the water and I asked if we could sit there. The owner said no and that it was for 8 people. The very nice server came and asked if we wanted to move and the owner told her no. This makes no sense to me and has left a very bad taste in my mouth 2 minutes in. I would walk out but I am with a large group. I hope the food makes up for it and will post afterwards. Update: Food was excellent. Would give it 5 stars for food and view. We found this restaurant on our way back from Penn State to New Jersey and we are happy that we did. I had their black and blue burger with a blue moon and he their Santa Fe chicken sandwich with a water. I ordered my burger medium hoping for some pink- however I received it well done. I was a bit annoyed at first since I like a juicy burger. Except they were able to create the most juicy well done burger I have had and it was phenomenal. My guest also enjoyed his chicken sandwich. I've tried the food, maybe I am picky but we only visit to enjoy drinks, especially when it's warm enough for the outside bar/deck to be open. The view is incredible, and we tend to find friends we connect with from time to time. Give Waterfront a try, we will come back. When I ordered I was asked how I wanted my burger, so me like my savage self, asked for it medium rare. Well, after biting into this I came to realize that it was sadly a frozen patty that had no way of ever being medium rare. This is where the disappointment began. The burger was very bland, even after adding salt, ketchup, and mayo it couldn't help this depressing taste. I couldn't finish it because the "crab" meat was cold and didn't do anything for this burger. My friends meal was very good, well cooked, and very hot. Been going here off and on for a number of years. This review will reflect the last few times that were within the last few months. Cheese Steaks were described as very good by our waitress and those that have gotten them at our table have said that they may be the best around. Get sauce on the side as recommended and your roll will stay fresh and non-soggy. Fries now have a crispy coating and everyone said they were good. Crab dip is served with plenty of pita and corn chips. Highly recommended, especially on Wednesday when it is $1 off. Wings are good. Not a huge selection of flavors, but they have the staples and they come with celery and blue cheese or ranch. The sizes have varied from visit to visit, but I noticed that when they are small, they added an extra one or two. TAKE NOTE OF THIS ALL YOU OTHER WING BARS! Fish and Chips was described by waitress as good quality and tasty, but not a huge portion. The order proved she was correct. I recommend if you are a big eater to get an appetizer. Tap beer selection is not large. They have the staples. Plus some bottles. You should be able to find one that suits you. Pictures are a good value. Deserts are very good. Waitress is top notch. Doesn't call you Honey every other word. Offers honest recommendations and genuinely seems to care. There is a pool table. Bar. Dining room. And deck. Well first of all, this is no longer Mr. G's Waterfront but now has a new owner. I go out once a week with my kids (we call it the Eats of the Week) and I decided to head out to check out places on the river this holiday weekend. I have heard this place had the best view of the river so I said what the heck. We got there and it started to drizzle but we still wanted to sit on the deck so they found us a table with a huge umbrella. They cleaned off all the seat and set it up where we wanted it. (an a plus was that the actual owner did this for us). We were in the mood to try some new stuff with my son going with a basic wrap, my daughter went with some pasta and I decided to get out of my comfort zone and go with whatever the special was. The waitress was great considering she had to keep coming out with the rain. I was SO GLAD I went with the special which was Chicken Oscar. It was Fantastic and the kids ate all their food on their plates which never happens. All in all, I never give out five stars (check my profile, it's true) but between the good food, the location (they aren't lying, it is probably the best view of the river in the Harrisburg area) and the fact they even though it was raining, they went above and beyond to give us the experience that we wanted. The fact that the owner took the time on a holiday weekend in a crowded restaurant to make sure things were done to our satisfaction just blew me away. It's under new ownership and after looking at the reviews from the past. That is a huge plus. Try them out, I'm sure you will be happy. We plan on going back a few more times this summer read more
