I had the Gyro Fries that come with waffle fries which is different but welcomed. The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars was the portion size. The Gyro fries are listed as a main menu item but the portion was extremely small for a main menu item. It felt more like a side item. My review is based on food sold at my workplace through Fooda and not dining in at the restaurant. I ordered the chicken wrap and was very disappointed. Aside from the blandness of my wrap, there was very little chicken, no tomato or other vegetables except for lettuce. The white and red sauces also lacked flavor and depth. I discovered this place by driving which is the best way to find hideouts that are the bomb.com The place is so fresh, modern, and looks like a Japanese store inside. I ordered the Falafel platter which was 8.99 which is cheaper than Halal Guys. I love their unique sauce, the rice is so flavorful, I can taste the masala and bay leaf. My favorite is the falafel it's not just a plain deep fry, they put spices and seasonings to make up for the delicious taste served with lettuce and your choice of sauce. I have to say, Wava has the most authentic chicken over rice I've had down here so far, excellent. And the beef/lamb gyro was tender and juicy; only critique is that it could have had more veggies/more variety available. Just moved into the neighborhood about a month ago and have been giving every place in the area a try. After having the worse "Chinese" food I have ever had in my life and horrible service at the "Chinese" food establishment I was a little hesitant to try anything else in the area but one night we decided to give Wava a try. I ordered Falafel over rice dish with a banana/strawberry smoothie and it was absolutely delicious. My partner ordered lamb gyro and it was amazing as well. The flavors are great and the white sauce was amazing with my falafel as well. They made everything fresh but it still doesn't take a long time to get your food. We have since come back a few times to try our new things as well but so far the falafel is my personal favorite. The owner is phenomenal and very welcoming and enthusiastic every time we've come by. We love the neighborhood even more now that we have found a place that we like and will be regulars at with great customer service. Is it better during the middle of the day? I felt like everything I ate came out of the fryer, prior to cleaning the grease trap. I ordered a chicken skewer, overcooked, which came in a generic hotdog bun. The fries were limp, cold, and I'm fairly sure that one of them called out to me "help, i'm drowning in grease!" There is something so magical about it. Deeply savory, perfectly steamed. It tastes as if someone's Persian grandmother made it. We got the combination bowl, which included chopped lamb/beef gyro, chicken gyro and falafel over rice and lettuce, with bits of tomato. While highly spiced (and flavorful!), the dish was not overly greasy and was easy on the stomach for hearty fare. As a bonus, the owner was very welcoming. This is the type of place I like to support - small local business, great upbeat attitude, and excellent quality food. We'll definitely return. I used to go to Betty's for my late night meal after the gym that's a few doors down from this place. One day, I decided to give this place a chance just so I can try something new. And I think the most important part of it all, besides the amazing food, is the service. I got a chance to speak with the owner while waiting for my food and he's an awesome person. His character stands out as a good person and you can see that when you speak with him. He's very attentive to your order when it comes out to make sure it is right to give it that final check. They don't have Hienz ketchup. Friend said he was surprised the hot dog was good. I was surprised to be so disappointed in the 5-bite burger. 1/2 was medium and 1/2 was rare.
