After a fabulous day of whale watching out of Provincetown, my husband and I just happened to drive past The Weatherdeck and decided to give it a try. We were both hungry and left very satisfied. The woman at the ordering counter was friendly and accurate, very patient as we looked over the many choices. My husband chose a burger and fries with a root beer float. The burger was tasty and the fries were good, but he raved about the float. He was particularly pleased to be offered the option of soft serve or hard ice cream, chose the hard ice cream. I ordered fried flounder and asked for lots of extra lemon. I laughed out loud when the young man brought me a dish with an entire fresh lemon sliced into wedges! The flounder was excellent; I can't remember ever having better anywhere. It was fresh, very lightly crusted, not greasy or overcooked. The few fries I ate from the pile that came with it were hot and tasty. I was in the mood for a glass of wine, was pleasantly surprised when I received one of those little bottles of Sutter Home Chardonnay. And they didn't gouge for the price, just $2.50. I live here and we wait (im)patiently each year for this to open in April. It's one of our favorite places for a quick lunch or dinner. Everyone who has ever visited me has been brought here too. We are actually in the minority and don't get the seafood very often. Their cheeseburger plate and the grilled chicken breast sandwich are perfect! French Fries are the best! The Frappes are delicious, made with yummy ice cream! The decor hasn't changed much since my husband was a child, but it's what keeps people coming back. It doesn't change. In this world, that is a rarity and a welcome sight. You can always count on the consistent service, food, and welcome. Atmosphere is very relaxed. Kids can run around, make noise and there is plenty of room. There are tables on the other end of the restaurant and a place outside to sit too. If they aren't busy, they will bring your food right to your table, but they will call numbers too sometimes. Wouldn't even give it 1 star if I didn't have tooooo !!!!!! Ordered fried scallop plate ( 10 scallops ) a chicken sandwich with no fries and a drink ( only one size and it's small! ) it was 25.00 . The female at counter said scallops came with fries and when we got our food no fries when we asked her she put the reciept in our face said no fries !!!! She was extremly rude and we tipped her when we paid ! It was hot and no ac on . People sitting with red faces . Scallops were ok , chicken sandwich was greasy . I wouldn't recommend this place, rude staff over priced and not worth the money !!!!!!!! read more

LOVE this casual restaurant. I've been vacationing in Harwich all my life (44 years) and always stop here for a lunch or a quick dinner. My whole family loves the food at the Weatherdeck. My favorite meal is their fried clams, but I've expanded my horizons lately and have had the fried scallops, fish and chips, and their fried shrimp. In the past, I have had their salads. All the food is fresh and great portions. I usually leave with a doggie bag! read more

The onion rings here are God's gift to mankind! I LOVE them. Some people prefer the rings at Captain Frosty's, but, sadly, they are mistaken. This is my family's first dining stop when we arrive every year and we are NEVER disappointed in the onion rings. And my son loves the burgers. Had the clam plate last night and can only say - stay away ! Even though I live nearby, this was my first visit to the Weatherdeck. Not a bad setting and the staff was courteous ; but I came for the fried clams. What I got was one cold beer and a plate containing lots & lots of French fries, a small portion of OK onion rings, and a very small serving of the worst tasting fried clams ever. All for $27. In short, the beer was fine, but there are way better fried seafood places in the area. Unfortunately this appears to be the type of place that exists on one time visits from vacationers and not regulars. read more

This is a fantastic restaurant with great food, great prices, and run by great people. Very family friendly and also has a mini golf course. The burgers are great and probably the best deal on the menu. We have been summering at the cape since 2011 and the Weatherdeck is our go to spot. Don't miss this place ! read more

We will surely be returning to the Weatherdeck. We felt like we stumbled on a goldmine. Delicious, fresh food at a very fair price. The scrumptious food is made to order. The seafood is absolutely fresh. Lots of options, platters or by the pound. Thumbs up on the fried shrimp, onion rings and broiled haddock sandwich. Homemade coleslaw and fresh brewed iced tea are also excellent. All of the employees we encountered were pleasant and very helpful. The atmosphere was clean and roomy. You order and pay at the counter and they call your number for pick up so no tipping is required. The staff still came by to check that everything. Although we did not play, the mini golf game is only $7.00 and a replay is $2.00. This place suits our needs perfectly. A great place for all age ranges. They was no rush to leave and lingering was okay. read more

Whenever we visit the Cape, we always go to Weatherdeck for the fish sandwich with some tartar sauce =) My advice to others would be.... when you come here, don't expect a 5 star restaurant, to me this place is a great spot to grab a quick lunch and get back to having some fun out on the cape. read more

I was not expecting much from this place but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the cheeseburger platter with fries and cole slaw. The cheeseburger came with, lettuce and tomato. They asked if I wanted anything else, which I did not expect. I requested pickles and got plenty of pickles on my cheeseburger. They also asked how I wanted my cheeseburger cooked while I was expecting the usual burned burger. I have to say the cheeseburger was one of the best I have had in a while. It was juicy and flavor full. Not your usual burger. My Mom and Dad had the clam platter and said it was great. My boyfriend had the chicken tender platter and said it was way better than expected. Overall I would go back here again. Plus the staff were super nice. read more

Consistency wins the day here......... Its diner food with a Cape Cod twist. Burgers are great and so are the salads. The Mother / Daughter team up front is almost as good as the Father / Brother team in back! All around nice place to eat. Mini golf doesn't thrill anyone over 8 years old. read more

Older lady with blue hair has no idea how to treat customers and it is run down. Used to be much better. Mu daughter shrimp was ok, wife's burger ok. My lobster roll was crap. cold dry lobster throw on a leave of lettuce and on a bun with mayo on the side. Will not be going back, there are much better places nearby and worth the wait. read more

great cape spot! Chicken tenders are the best I've ever had!

I have had positive experiences with this restaurant in the past but unfortunately yesterday, this was NOT the case! The decor on the inside is lovely however the service was definitely not! I ordered a lobster roll yesterday and when I got it the meat itself was partially frozen and even hurt my teeth to bite into it. I paid over $17 for the plate (for a quality lobster roll plate is pretty typical). I approached the counter and requested that it be heated up. The woman replied I don't eat lobster but I wouldn't recommend that and she stated there was nothing she could do. I returned to my seat... I accepted she wasn't able/willing to do anything to improve the meal. When I sat down at my booth, I over heard a customer say to the woman "don't worry I won't complain about my meal" they went on to continue discussing my discontent while laughing about it. I was staying at my friends cape house in Harwich with the boys and 4 out of the 5 of us (one of us knew better) decided to try the place out. The place looked dull, not only with the lack of customers and staff but it looked plain ugly and boring. The pricing for the menu was awful. $20 for a crappy lobster roll? Ridiculous. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and fish and chips, and as one of the staff was getting my food he carelessly spilled some of the chowder on the tray. He couldn't have cared less about his job or where he was at the time, didn't even care enough to handle my food with the slightest ounce of passion. Also, the tray wasn't flat. It had weird indents and bumps. They couldn't afford straight trays. Wow. I am not gonna lie, the chowder was really good. I enjoyed it. I just wish the other foods tasted as nice. After taking what seemed like an eternity, my garbage fish and chips came. It took them 30 minutes to take a dump and serve it to me. I had one bite of the fries and I regurgitated. They tasted like cardboard and plastic. So bad. No flavor, no texture, just plastic crunchy crap. I tried to eat a couple more but I couldn't, they were so bad. I hoped the fish would redeem the below average french fry quality. It did NOT do that. The fish itself was dryer than the Sahara and with absolutely no seasoning. Not an ounce of salt or pepper. The fried part was greasy and slimy, it was gross. They gave me this slimy coleslaw, and coleslaw is never good to begin with, but this one was extra bad and slimy. You could've completely removed any veggies and it wouldn't have made a difference. So we talked about my own dish, now lets talk about my friends meals. One of them had a damn hair in his meal. A hair. That is the staple of careless cuisine. Nobody wants to eat hair. His burger was terrible, the buns were stale and the meat was bad. My other friend had a burger as well and the grease from the beef could've filled my bathroom sink. Both of my friends who ordered burgers almost got sick from how bad they were. My third friend got a grilled cheese and he said it was okay. Not good, but okay. That is the very best quality they served us. "Okay." Nobody searches for "okay" food, they search for the good and great foods, not "okay" food. Also, it's impossible to mess up a grilled cheese, so don't flatter yourself Weatherdeck for doing one thing SOMEWHAT BARELY right. My friend said he took us here because of the nostalgia he has eating there, and I told him his nostalgia is filled with overpriced crap. As we left I was still very hungry and upset and I truly felt that I wasted some of my hard earned money. One of the staff said "have a nice day" to us. I responded with "I hope you DON'T have a nice day and I hope I eat better food" and I left. I will never ever go to the terribly awful Weatherdeck restaurant. There are so many better places to eat. The Hot Stove Grill and Ember are two great places to eat. Go there instead. I hate the weatherdeck so much. It doesn't deserve the star I am forced to give to it. It deserves none.
