Decent dim sum food! Cart workers were fast, always had a lot of varieties, It's pretty spacious, but not as big as typical dim sum restaurants. Some dishes did feel like it lacked flavor, like the siu mai. I did like the cheung fun, you can never go wrong with that.

We came here to celebrate a birthday dinner and had two tables of ten, ordering the same dishes for both. I'm not sure if the portions were on the smaller side, but at our table we finished almost everything, while the other table still had enough to share with us. My favorite dish was the crab--it came with pumpkin, which was a nice surprise. They also cracked it for us, making it really easy to eat. The lobster was prepared the same way, already cracked open for convenience. The duck stood out as well. It wasn't overly fatty, had great flavor, and wasn't too salty. The rest of the dishes were good, though nothing particularly memorable. One thing I wish they'd change is the timing of the fried rice--it always seems to come out last, and it would be better if it arrived earlier with the other dishes. Service could definitely improve. It was sometimes difficult to get the staff's attention--we'd think they noticed us, but then they'd look away. The restaurant itself is spacious and brightly lit. It's a good option for dim sum in Elk Grove as well.

Use to be "Hella Good"...probably won't be back for a while... Sadly, food quality really sucks during this last visit. Went w/ da fam during lunch hour on a Sunday (prime time), expected to be busy with fresh, hot steam varieties. Cart came around fast with what appears to be must-sell-through. -Sui mai, shrimp-rice roll, chicken feet were cold - "yuck"... there was a drought with the soup dumpling - super dried.... -Please bring back the old chef or quality control....we all LOVE good Dim Sum bro.....

I recently dined at Well Season for the first time for a celebration event and thought the food was really good! We had a large party and all of the food was preselected for us. I enjoyed ALL of the food selected. We had a lot of dim sum staples - ha gao, siu mai, fried shrimp balls, fried taro puffs, sesame balls, don tots, shrimp noodle roll, bbq beef noodle roll, bbq pork buns, turnip cake, spring rolls, and potstickers. All of the fried food was cooked hot and fresh, which made it so enjoyable, especially the taro puffs and sesame balls. It does make a difference when it comes out fresh. We also had beef chow fun, crispy pan fried noodles with pork, veggies, and my fav - clams with black bean sauce. I was pretty hungry and everything tasted so good. At the end, we packed a lot of it to go. The restaurant is large with lots of large tables, suitable for any banquet. They have dim sum carts, which I saw, but our meal was already preordered. Service was not bad as things we requested were brought in a timely manner. Overall, really great experience at Well Season.

Visited relatives and of course they'd know where to go best when you're a local. All the customers were old Chinese folks so iykyk. Is it SF good? No sorry but this was still pretty good compared to some restaurants in sf. Still good to see old ladies rolling the carts around.

Well Season is our family's go-to dim sum spot (and probably many others', given how busy it can get)! Especially on weekends around peak dim sum time (11am-1pm), you'll probably find that the parking lot can get pretty packed. If there is a wait, you can make your way to the counter and find the clipboard to write your name and party size. I'd suggest designating one person from your group to stay inside and listen for your name to be called out. It can get kinda chaotic. That being said, once you get seated, that's when the real fun begins. You'll be asked what kind of tea you want (I usually get jasmine or chrysanthemum) and then the dance of the dim sum carts starts! My favorite items are the shu mai, har gow, fried shrimp balls, and fried shrimp cherng fun. There are the typical condiments of chili oil, soy sauce, and white pepper at the table, but you can also ask a waiter for hot mustard. Note that it's not typical American style service, so you really need to flag down a waiter if you need something extra. When available, staff will stop by to grab empty dim sum baskets and dishes to keep the table clear, but that can vary if it's especially busy.

Well Season is a dimsum spot in the early hours of opening, and a full Chinese restaurant in the later afternoon-evening. They can host large events done banquet style. I've tried their dinner menu items and it's good. I've also been for dimsum and it's not bad. I came for a Too Good To Go order which is a surprise of 3 orders of dimsum items (sometimes duplicate items but no complaints). Would definitely come again.

Over the years, we have dined here many times for both dim sum and dinners. Overall, their portions are good for the price, and we always have leftovers. The food is very fresh, and most, if not all, their dishes have good flavor. There are probably a number of dishes that are a part of our regular orders. These dishes include the spicy boiled fish, bitter melon beef, honey walnut shrimp, cod clay pot, string beans. The boiled fish is solid because they give a lot of broth that you can take home and add more of your ingredients to take the dish further and get more portions out of it. They have typically given desserts in the past. This time they gave a large plate of orange slices. Service was fine, and what you would expect at an Asian restaurant. Restaurant was fairly clean. There is plenty of parking here. Of note, they are on the Too Good To Go App occasionally.

Came in for dinner on a Saturday night. It wasn't busy plenty of empty tables. We had a group of 13. Service was the usual. Not exceptional just order and they just bring your food. We ordered the family dinner style #C $298 serves about 10 ppl and we added 2 dishes-the Chili P, On Choy w/ Bean Cur & Seafood CP W/ Chili Pepper. The family style dinner # C came with: Roasted Pork Combination Platter Chef's Special Crispy Prawns Stir-Fry Steak Cube Cuttle Fish in XO Sauce Crab Meat Fish Maw & Dried Scallops Soup Braised Dried Scallops with Veggies Peking Duck Baked Lobster with Supreme Broth Steamed Fish of the Day House Special Fried Rice Food was ok. My favorites were the crispy prawns and bean curd clay pot. I think the portions have gotten smaller. We came here because it served its purpose. We needed a place big enough so everyone was able to talk face to face.

This place is a hit and miss. Some dishes are very good and other dishes are meh! The steam fish is really good but it's gonna set you back probably like $50 (seasonal price). Things I would order again: Ong-choy or morning glory soy sauce squab crab meat and fish maw soup pork-blood (dim sum) longevity noodles (this was surprisingly better than most place that I have had it) Soy-sauce fried noodles Dishes that I probably would not order again: house special fried rice Peking sparerib salt & pepper sparerib lobster Stir fry steak cube cuttlefish in XO sauce Chef's Special crispy fried prawns The place a big and great for banquets and large parties. They are very accommodating and service is pretty good. They have a private parking lot with some parking in the front, the side and additional parking in the back. Atmosphere is your typical Chinese restaurant; loud and lively.

Came in on a Sunday morning right when they opened. Many families came within minutes and next thing you know, the place were filled with people and the many sounds of conversations. This is my 3rd time here, the past two times were just ok but definitely had a better experience this time. Good selections of dishes and everything was tasty. The short rib was a disappointment for it's toughness but the flavor was good. The salted egg bun and baked pork bun was a hit with the fam. My father in law really enjoyed the chicken feet lol (that was a quick pass for me) Hubby ordered the stew (it had intestine/tripe) - which was tasty but can be overwhelming if you're not used to that kind of texture. I had everything shrimp lol Service was quick & pleasant. Water and tea was offered and they quickly refilled when empty. This place is big with plenty of parking for big gatherings. Its local Elk Grove so not bad for the convenience. Thanks for reading!

Not sure why this place is so lowly rated. As a person who has eaten dim sum my whole life, it's not bad. They have the dimsum carts still which is rare to see. For those comparing to Bay Area dim sum, you shouldn't. Decent quality and decent prices for dim sum. Can get really busy for the weekends. Need to call folks over if you need service but nothing unexpected. Lots of tables inside, have a ton of live seafood.

A classic Cantonese dim sum restaurant with carts! My family enjoyed our experience here. The food for the most part was tasty, and there were many options that they haven't seen in a while. There was plenty of seating upon entering at 1pm on a Sunday, and parking is relatively easy. It looks very nice and traditional inside, with two large tv screens in the back. We loved that the cart ladies still come around, although the options were a bit limited. I eventually ended up asking for the menu so we could order and look at all the options after our first round of orders. The service was ok, but they took a while pick up our dirty plates, but overall we still enjoyed our time here.

I ordered: Sui mai, Har gow, baked and steamed bbq pork buns, beef cheung fun, bok tong go, fried sesame balls, fried pork dumplings, and egg tarts. Bottom line, in my humble opinion, ABC Bakery is the original "OG" for take out dim sum in the south area. It is still probably the best dim sum with most of these items listed in terms of flavor, quality, and service. Although prices are slightly higher from a year or so ago, it is still relatively less expensive than Tai Pan and Dim Dim food. There are no parking challenges, staff are efficient with unnecessary attitude, and items are fresh and not constantly sitting in steamers throughout the day- yes, food turnover is probably the best of all three locations. Again, i would patronize ABC Bakery first and Dim Dim Food second. The Portuguese egg tart from Dim Dim Food is outstanding. And if you order their Pineapple Bao it does have a better flavor than the ones from ABC Bakery. No pics necessary. just go and try the various delicacies from ABC Bakery. Next dim sum venture is incorporating mid town dim sum take outs (not restaurants) in the next reviews.

There is plenty of space to dine-in as well. Their menu is huge - almost overwhelming - but they have a little bit of everything. I stopped in specifically for BBQ Pork steamed rice rolls, which can be tough to find at most places outside of a dim sum menu. The price was reasonable (I think $6.75) and it was a great portion. Very flavorful, tender, and a delicious sauce! We also got an order of steamed BBQ pork buns (3 total). Surprisingly, I don't think it was the same meat from the rice rolls but that's OK because it was almost shredded consistency with a good flavor. The bun is a bao-style bun, so less fluffy than my preferred steam bun type but perfectly steamed nonetheless. We ended with an order of sesame balls (3 piece). I was surprised at how much oil was in the to-go container, and a little disappointed that there wasn't more of the sesame coating, but they were so FRESH! I assumed the inside would be red bean but instead it was jelly cubes that reminded me of square boba jellies. Possibly pineapple flavored? It was not my thing but also my fault for not confirming it what was inside. Will definitely be coming back for rice rolls!

Now living here on my 20th year (worst due to Covid), we have found way more joints of all kinds of food and go-tos also. They have the combo plates and were serving those up long ago with lines. Now they kinda blocked the hot case area with chairs up and a security guy and a buddy sitting at a table. Weird. I guess you can still order combo Chinese boxes but at the end where the bbq and register is. Anyways for now it is order and gtfo! Lol. Maybe try their roast pork and soy sauce chicken. Lemon grass chix, honey glazed ribs. Custard tarts, congee $4.99, $6.99 duck noodle soup. Boba here too. I just didn't give them a pass on their duck. Good duck is a place on Broadway one of my wife's Mien coworkers mentioned. I would come here for that pork and chix. Gotta try other goodies here that I listed. Nice when we can sit in. Sigggggghhhhh!

Service was great, but the price was not well listed and everything seems to be overly priced for…read moresuch a shitty coexistent in a supermarket. I order the usual three per servings and the end up charging me per bun, so make sure you ask all the price upfront before they bring it to the cashier line.
