This place is a hidden gem and the best pizza in the entire greater Boston area! I live in Somerville and have tried 'em all, but keep going back to Wellingtons for their amazing toppings (and I'm usually content to just get a large cheese). You'll pay a few extra bucks compared to others, but its totally worth it--nobody does FRESH ingredients anymore the way they do--it definitely ranks with the pricey gourmet pizza places that don't deliver. And the delivery girl is so nice & pleasant, every time! We've ordered their pizza many times and every time we rave about it: its fulfilling like a big meal instead of just a ton of bread because they use top quality mozzeralla, great red sauce, FRESH chopped garlic (not from a jar) that makes the house smell so good, FRESH basil, fresh kalamata olives (not canned) and really taste grilled chicken. They also don't skrimp on the toppings no matter how many you order, so the pizza is HEAVY after just a few. By far the best delivery pizza out of the 20 or so I've tried in the Somerville/Medford area. Most other places around here have a thicker crust that kind of tastes like burned cornmeal. Not sure why, but it's weird. Wellington's crust is just what I was looking for. Thinner crust, but soft and floppy. Topping choice is extensive, and delivery time is reasonable. Unfortunately they tend to close earlier than my schedule allows, so in a pinch Friend's Pizzeria is a solid number two. But Wellington's is far and away my first choice. read more

Not sure why it's so hard to get a good, "real" calzone up here in the Boston area. Calzones should be a shell shape with all the cheese on the inside. Wellington does this but many other places don't. The taste is good enough- the sauce is decent and the size is generous. read more

This is our go to pizza place in Medford! The whole family really loves the pizza and the prices are reasonable. We've tried other things off the menu as well (chef salad, veggie sub, chicken parm sub, and a couple pasta dishes) and they've all been delicious. I really hope they do well because they are now our go to on friday nights. read more

Ok so the first time I go here I ordered a couple burgers .... Girl told me about 15 mins 45 mins later I received my burgers and I was informed they were outta pickles not even a big deal I ordered my burgers med rare burger was so over cooked it was crunchy on the edges I couldn't even eat it...... So for some reason I though I'd give it one more try.... I call put in my delivery order it's about 7pm ...... 730 rolls around and the girl calls me and pretty much tells me they don't have the ingredients to make half the stuff on there menu .... So I pick a couple pasta plates which I had to wait another half hr for so now it's about 815 .... I get my food nasty bland pasta is over cooked and mushy cheeses garlic bread is cold hard and neither garlic or cheesy ..... I gave the 2nd star cause there wicked polite..... Ya but never again .... Menus goin in the trash .... Sorry but you guys are a major take out FAIL.... read more

Just made a to go order at this place, waited for 25 minutes then asked about my order to discover my sub was sitting on the counter for who knows how long. The person at the counter (turned out to be the owner!) was rude and had an attitude when I asked about the slice I had also ordered. I decided to just skip it and leave when the owner started loudly asking what my problem was! Incredible! I ordinarily try to be a patron of local businesses but why order from this place with Regina's and Betrucci's nearby? And by the way, my sub was terrible!!! Well, let me start off by saying, I did feel like I was part of their family. The lady behind the counter, was very friendly. We soon found out that they have only been open for one week. While mom was eating sushi down the street, me and the son, wanted some pizza. The pizza was good, not too greasy, and we are talking about slices that were reheated. I bet a fresh whole pizza would even taste better. We were looking at the menu while we were eating, and we saw a couple of items that you usually do not see at your typical pizza/sub shop: Truffle french fries, and a crab sub. We asked about them, and were told that they use truffle oil to make the fries, and that they do not fry the crab that is put into a sub, but use lump pieces of crab. Lastly, the kitchen sent us a sample of their homemade macaroni and cheese, with portobello mushrooms. I look forward to reading about other individuals and there experiences at this new eatery. read more

Only tried pizza at this place; very on-and-off. On a few occasions it was good, but most of the time its burned (onions are burned) and tastes off. I will try it again hoping for an "on" day. read more

Ordered the baked ziti with meatballs through Foodler as a take-out order. I saw that this was a new pizza shop and the prices were way cheaper than most surrounding places. I arrived 5 minutes later than the suggested pickup time. I told the man behind the counter of my Foodler order and he was fiddling with the fax machine for a few seconds and told me to give him 2 minutes so he can make my food. As I walked outside to wait, I heard another guy behind the counter ask if they never got the order from Foodler and the man that was helping me said he got it, he just didn't check the fax machine to take the order. Had this been a week day and I was in a rush, this would've not been okay, but it was a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I had nothing but time to kill. I walked over to Modern's Pastry and purchased some desserts to kill my wait time. By the time I got back, I would say no more than 15 minutes, my food was ready. THIS WAS THE BEST ZITI WITH MEATBALLS I'VE EVER HAD. I'm very picky when it comes to pasta sauce but this place had the best red sauce I've ever tasted. They even went light on the sauce as I asked but after tasting how good the sauce was, I wouldn't mind more of it the next time I order. The meatballs was good as well. The portion was just perfect for 1 person, especially when I paid less than 7 bucks for it. I highly recommend this place for the pasta. I would suggest on calling to check if your order is ready if you ordered online and in a rush before heading out to pick it up though. Unless it's sunny out, then walk over to Moderns and get fatter. read more

Relatively speaking, this is a very good option for Medford Square. I used to have to drive across town to Joe Pizza for good Italian style pizza. I still give a slight edge to JP, but for a closer option Wellington's is great. read more

Every time I go to pick up my order, the owners are there cooking in the open kitchen or behind the counter taking orders. They always say hello to me with a smile and they are always extremely friendly and helpful. It is clear that they are caring people who work really hard to make great food at an excellent value. Ordered a delivery. Took over an hour. When it arrived a dinner was incorrect. I ordered eggplant Parmesan and received meatballs. I called back and notified them of error. The woman Simone said she was the manger ( although prior she said she would have to take the meatball dinner back so her manager wouldn't get mad ) and was quite rude- she argued with me and said I ordered meatballs and then finally said they would send eggplant but it will take another hour and to give the meatballs back. Avoid!!! Called in an order for delivery, an hour and a half later still no food. I called again, order was taken incorrectly. Very poor communication by person taking orders. First the bad: they need to work on their deliveries. I've had deliveries with no problems but then there have been 3 or so with problems. Long wait times are too common, especially since I can walk there in 10 minutes. One time the pizza was delivered late and when I opened the box the cheese and sauce had slid to one side; I had to call and have them send another pizza. I always ask for extra sauce on the side as my wife likes to dip the crust, and more often than not they forget to include it. The most recent delivery was on a Thursday night which was called in at 7:15pm (certainly not a peak time). It took 75 minutes to arrive, and when the guy finally did arrive he showed me that he had the wrong apartment number and doorbell code. Another thing about this place is that in my opinion it is slightly expensive for a random Medford Square location; if you're going to charge premium prices your service has to be top-notch. Now the good: the pizza is awesome. The first time I tried it I was hooked. I would have given up on them a long time ago if it weren't for the quality pizza. The garlic knots are very good as well. I haven't really tried anything else there (I may have gotten a chicken parm once or twice). It's the kind of pizza where a plain cheese is all you need to order; there's no need to disguise the taste with toppings. I have only come across a handful of pizza places where this is the case. So overall a 3 out of 5. If they can just get rid of some of the apparent dysfunction inside the place, they could be the best pizza place in Medford. read more

I love this place. I haven't had a bad experience here. I love their truffle fries. I had them other places and they were greasy. Not here! The owner and his wife are so pleasant. They always remember me even though I haven't been there in a while. The always has a smile on and thanks me. The Bruschetta pizza was not the same. It smelled amazing. Good recipes should be continued not changed. The tomatoes were huge slices not small chopped pieces, no fresh chopped garlic pieces, very little basil. Disappointing it used to be my favorite. read more

Newly opened pizzeria, nice staff, italian style pizza overall it's a great place where you can enjoy dinning for lunch or dinner.
