Unfortunately, they are closed on Sunday, and I had to call one of those large "Rooter" companies to clear a kitchen sink drain. What a mistake. The Plummer they sent couldn't even unclog the drain. I called Olson's the next morning and Paul was able to fit me in with his schedule. He even gave me an approximate price based on the description of the problem I provided. He and his assistant were easily able to identify the problem; fix the issue and honor the fair price he quoted. I posted a comment on JIT's webpage and no one bothered to reach out. I wonder how many people that plumber has scammed out of significant money. Add another - as he was leaving, he remarked that we didn't have a pressure regulator on our incoming water line - I told him we did have one but we had it removed - and then he started low-key arguing with me saying he didn't see any evidence one ever existed. We had to shut off all the water to the house and were scrambling to find someone who could come quickly and not charge an absurd amount. The Yelp reviews for Carlson Plumbing were fantastic, and the service absolutely lived up to them. Not only were they able to come within the hour from my call, but the pricing was almost half of what I was quoted by several other companies. Gilbert and Logan were friendly, helpful, and quickly replaced the leaking valve and got our water back on in no time. They even offered to help move the refrigerator into its designated spot, which was definitely not part of their scope and very appreciated (we ended up declining, but the offer alone said a lot). They also pointed out a secondary water shut off we had completely forgotten about. Also worth mentioning, this was the only place I called where I actually reached the office and not a call service. I can't remember her name, but she was incredibly helpful and honestly saved us by getting someone out so fast, especially since we were without water at both our house and our attached rental.
