Most importantly the atmosphere is so thoughtful and well done. Good music on good speakers at the right volume with warm sound where you can feel it but still hear each other talk. Mezze platter and cheese boards looked like a work of art of when they came out. We were there 4-6pm and there was golden natural lighting throughout the space. It's one of those places you can really settle into and disappear into the experience. I plan to be a regular.

The wait staff and bartenders, like Asher, are absolutely delightful - especially Faith, and Brian; who works the door. Brian is the nicest guy ever. A+ to all the employees! Top shelf. I've visited this place a few times and it was littered with entitled, snobby girls 21-28 who seem to pattern their lives after the Sex and The City divas ..but they are ALL Charlotte! If you know, you know. There is one gypsy girl who parties there everybody needs to watch out for. She's about 5'4," chubby, long scraggly brown hair, big black blouse, dog chain around her neck, and rolls dice while waiting outside in line with her blonde cohort. This rare girl is a psycho who screams random insults at men indiscriminately as they walk by. Clearly she's mentally ill ..but it is Venice, so ..ya know. This place always has great music, and the upstairs is divine. All the male patrons I've spoken to here have been pretty cool. I do take some pity on the single gents here just looking to meet a nice girl, knowing full well how many party girls will be trying to con a free drink out of them, but alas, it is what it is.

They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait. There's a few bars nearby if you're waiting. Once you're able to sit down, you'll find a cute wine bar with amazing food that doesn't disappoint. Don't skip the fries. They're some of the best things I've eaten. I dream about those fries. The Peruvian scallops are dreamy. Very light, very refreshing. The same can be said about the cucumber salad. The standout of the evening was by far the burger. I've been to Dudley Market a handful of times, and I'd yet to try it. I'm so glad that I did. It was probably one of the best burgers I've ever had before. I highly recommend ordering this. Overall, Dudley Market is a fantastic restaurant in Venice Beach and I hope it stays our neighborhood spot for a long time.

The Lincoln House | (Utility Room) - 9/10…read more Hidden in the back of the Lincoln house the utility room is a quaint get away from downtown covina. The speakeasy is unique and even serves full menu of great food! Aesthetic & Ambiance: 9.5/10 - it was very prohibition themed and the menus being price/luggage tags was very fun. Came on a saturday night at 6:30 reservation and it was very quiet with us being the only table most of the evening. The outside restaurant has live bands which can be a little loud. Service: 100/10 - Markley was the bartender and the only one who operates the speakeasy, she's not only the best bartender Ive had custom drinks from, but she also makes each individual product herself. She explained every part of the drinks and ingredients, and even offered to make any kind of drink we'd want if there was nothing on her menu. Drinks: 10/10 - if you like cocktail bars this is it...EVERY drink was a unique in flavor and handcrafted by Markley from steep to serve. house-infused liquors and tinctures- ONE OF A KIND BAR Food: 8.5/10 - all around great some dishes better than others Bread & Butter - 9/10 great toasted sourdough with a garlic butter and the butter was perfect salty-addition. Calamari - 7/10 a little too breaded for my liking with the rings and tentacles being a little dry. Deviled eggs: 7.5/10 interesting they were fried, but had great flavor all over Mongolian Beef: 8/10 very good flavor, and rice was tasty, but the sauce was a little salty. Cajun chicken pasta: 9.5/10 chicken was tender, pasta was cooked perfectly, sauce was delicious, and the sausage was a great addition. I'd easily drive an hour from LA again to come here!

Energy goes way up with it though. Music is consistently great and the crowd matches it. Mostly a younger, high-energy vibe. If you actually want to enjoy your drinks and maybe chat with the bartenders, show up early. Once it gets going, it's all motion and noise. It's never disappointed us. You kind of know what you're signing up for, and it delivers every time. Ambiance leans classy without feeling vintage. Dim lighting, a touch of rustic, and just enough polish to set the tone without overdoing it. They've got a patio too, which comes in clutch when you need a breather or want to actually hear the person next to you. We usually do street parking and it's not too bad if you're willing to walk a bit. It was pretty quiet, yet we were barely greeted by the staff. To make matters worse, another patron was changing their 2-year-old's diaper right there on the patio. It was completely "butt baked" and extremely unappetizing while trying to eat. Food we ordered : * Pâté Sandwich: The pâté itself was actually good, but it was ruined by a ton of mustard. I had to scrape it off just to eat it as the mustard completely overpowered the sandwich. * Salmon Sandwich: Very bland and lacked flavor. Side sales were bland. We had to ask for extra dressing. * Iced Coffee: There was something "weird" floating in my coffee. Between the hygiene issues on the patio, and the mediocre food, I won't be back. Maybe I should have just stuck with wine and cheese.

I called ahead to make a reservation and when we arrived there, it was an easy process to get in. Metered street parking available. You order with a team member but pay at the counter. The guys there were awesome - super personable and friendly, they were chill to chat with. We ordered the raclette (one each) and a chocolate tart for dessert, which they were kind enough to set aside. Overall, I'd highly recommend for a date night or intimate dinner.
