Meh. It was ok. We had pretty standard bar food: fried zucchini, wings, blackened chicken salad... portion sizes were good but won't order them again. But I do want to try the pizza and give this place another shot. The photos look decent. Service wasn't spectacular but can't really expect much on a Saturday night with only one server working and one bartender. read more

So I tried this place for the first time and WOW. The food is amazing. I must admit by the looks of the restaurant driving by I didn't give the food hope. But this place is truly a hidden gem! Okay, I went to Westside with high hopes...pass by this place weekly on my way down to the design district, but alas, it is not to be. Went in on a random weekday, was gorgeous outside so Nick and I decided to sit outside on their massive patio. We walked right through the front of the house, past the bar and several booths / tables with patrons and sat at the first table nearest the door on the patio - in plain view of the bar / servers walking by. Ten minutes go by and no one has even acknowledged our presence. A server even walks to the table nearest us inside and totally ignored us on the patio - not sure what's up with that?? I had high hopes for the Westside pizza joint. I drive by this place everyday after work and figured I'd give it a shot. Looked cool from the outside. Walked in....very cool on the inside, very promising. It looked like a NY pizza joint, it felt like it, it smelt like it (that is good). Good music, good beer...oh I can't wait. Then I peek in the kitchen, and this is the only thing you have to know about Westside: Conveyor belt pizza oven! Unless you are trying to compete with Dominos and Papa Slobs, I am not quite sure why any pizza place owner with good intentions of making real pizza would ever install a conveyor belt pizza oven. The continued bastardization of the definition of "pizza". So how was the "pizza"? Let me explain what happens with conveyor belt pizzas: the crust becomes dry....tough....the type of crust that when you fold the pizza, you have to pull the pizza away from your mouth to rip it off and hope your front teeth don't go with it. Oh, and I ordered 'fresh garlic'. You know the kind you can buy in Kroger in a jar that's already chopped for you??? If that is considered fresh garlic, I've been missing something. Anyway...unfortunately looks aren't everything, although we are in Atlanta.... I give this my lowest pizza rating....anchovies galore....from the NY pizza guy. read more

This is my trivia spot. Trivia Dude/Gary always keeps the crowd going strong and the food is very good for a pizza joint (nee Cafe Italiano). There are prizes for first, second and third place that are good toward a future visit in the next 30 or 45 days. The team names here are some of the better ones I've heard ("I wish this microphone was a penis" aren't regulars but it's fun when they show up). The area is getting ready for a rejuvenation and hopefully Westside will benefit from the local area improvements. This place is great for a few beers, better than good pizza, bar food and a fun atmosphere. It's got a decidedly neighborhood vibe with regulars at the bar and Jonathan slinging drinks. There's a special every night of the week and the weekends are great for football or late afternoon lunch and beers. There is a decent selection of draft beers and flights for beer snobs but I stick to the $2 PBR and the occasional Jager shot. It's not exactly on the way to anything but worth the drive if you're in west midtown or far southwest Buckhead. There's outdoor seating for you smokers or the frequent doggie patrons. Parking isn't the greatest on busy nights but you can park in the carwash next door if you enjoy dentless body parts. If Westside was a girl I wouldn't marry her but I would enjoy being inside her once a week. read more

I wasn't expecting a small little dive pizza spot, but I was pleased with the menu prices and the food in general. I had wings and a slice and my friend had pasta. Everything was really reasonably priced and delicious! The parking situation leaves much to be desired. read more

They served us raw pizza and instead of making us a new pie they returned the nasty one to use with a darker hue...WTF does that? How hard is it to thoroughly cook a thin crust? So mad! I ordered takeout online today, got a confirmation email and when I arrived at Westside pizzeria they said they didn't have my order and then as soon as they looked at the computer they saw it. After that they became extremely rude and told me "15 minutes" I waited for Over an out for my order only to be met with rude answers and not one employee trying to rectify the situation. Seeing as most restaurants are take-out these days, I will not be ordering from them again! read more

This is a great place for lunch. I usually have a 10 inch "Ultimate" pizza, which is excellent, but they have many other home-made pizzas and pastas/salads too. I haven't been there at night so I can't review the bar-scene, but they do have a bar and a patio. There are TV's with FOX news on during lunch. I should disclose that I really really want to like this place. I mean its right near my house, they have good drink specials (hence the extra star) and I love pizza. Over the past few years their pizza has gone from "yum" to "hmmm" to "I'll just have a salad". I find very little consistency in the cooking of their pies... I've had anywhere from perfect to "was this thing even put in the oven?". They do have an app that I really like - the pizza bread sticks. They're basically just bread sticks made like a pizza with whatever toppings you want are big enough to be a meal themselves. Pair it with a salad and you've got a pretty safe bet. Pair it with 5 beers (which are only $2 on Saturdays) and you wont even care what you're eating! So to recap: drink specials - 1 bonus star. Pizza sticks - 1 bonus star.... leaving just 1 star for the pizza. read more

Wow, the absolute worst experience we have ever had at Westside. We used to be regular customers at the old location, but since they moved, we've been about 4 times. Too bad, because they had a great thing going. Now the service is absolutely sub par. We sat at the bar for ten minutes without a drink order. No eye contact from the "bartender" who appeared out of her depth with less than 6 people at the bar. Never again. read more

If you're in the area and you want a decent slice of pizza this place isn't bad. I've only had a few slices & a salad on my lunch twice and on both occasions customer service wasn't at their forefront. The 1st time I walked in I actually waited at the door a good 10 minutes and not a soul greeted me (WTF) I mean the waitress walked passed me a few times and didn't say a word or look up! Great place to stop by especially since there's a car wash right next door. So if you're ever going to get your car wash you can eat here while you wait on your car. I had the BBQ chicken pizza and it was great. The small size came with 6 slices. I recommend this for anyone who is looking for a good quick bite to eat in an intimate bar setting. Westside Pizza could have been better. There were maybe 3 other parties total in the restaurant. We ordered mozzarella sticks prior to our food and you could tell they sat under the hot lamp a little too long. If they were fresh - I'm sure they would have been delicious but waiting almost 15 minutes for them wasn't very pleasing either. I personally ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and had more than half to take home with me. The 10" is perfect for sharing with two people. They used cheddar and mozzarella instead of blue cheese like most pizza places tend to do. Their calzones are HUGE! They don't skimp on stuffing them. It was completely filled. The crust was perfectly crisp and not overbearing as well. I didn't post a photo of the pasta as our friend didn't enjoy it. The penne was very plain and basic - lacked flavor all over and the sausages were cut into cubes, again flavorless. So all in all... with better service and fresher food they could be better. read more

A local bar where my friend is a regular. It reminds me of Cheers. Everyone knows everyone and it's an informal atmosphere where people shoot the shit with the bartender. Beer specials, pretty good pizza and calzones, mediocre everything else. They make no airs about what they are and that's refreshing. This place is right outside my neighborhood. Sometimes I walk here. Only during the day time though. I think you have a good chance of getting stabbed around here after dark outside my neighborhood's gate. I have only eaten here a few times and have never had their pizza. I have had buffalo chicken tenders and fries which are pretty standard. Their Greek salad is one of the best I've ever had and I've ordered it multiple times. They have a very good Greek dressing which I think is the whole point of getting a Greek salad. Most places just give you a normal vinaigrette. Then it's like what's the point? I basically come here for a drink and for trivia. They have a full bar. The beer selection is a little small but they mostly have local beers on tap which I think is cool. I really like that everyone is really friendly in here. That includes the wait staff, bartenders, and patrons. It is a comfortable atmosphere. I have worn a dress and heels to pregame for a night out and I have also shown up in jeans and a shirt that I sweated through because I walked a mile to get here mid-August. It just doesn't matter. I will update this if I ever actually go there for pizza. read more

OK, so here is the deal... this is a very decent neighborhood pizza joint. Of course, it's a bit hard to see the neighborhood - this part of Atlanta is pretty sparsely populated - but Westside is alright in my book. There is a big patio and a pretty compact indoor dining area ... with 8 TV's along the walls - I counted 1 TV for every 2 patrons. These play numerous sporting events and Die Hard. The menu is classic pizza joint and they deliver a decent product. Artichoke Dip - Artichoke, cream, cheese and some very light and crispy tortilla chips. It's fine. Meatball Grinder - First of all, they have grinders! That is some straight up Massachusetts lingo. Very decent little sandwich - good bread, nice meatballs, decent sauce. Jalepeno and cheese Fries - ummm.... the fries are pretty obviously frozen, but what can you do. I don't think I would get these again. Ultimate Pizza - nice. Their crusts are thin and crispy, toppings are good, it's a nice pie. Buffalo Chicken Pizza - They use their wing sauce as the "marinara" and it is pretty tasty, so much so I want to try their wings now. Another decent little pie. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. We walked into this establishment around 8:00pm, and we were standing around the front waiting for someone to greet us. I noticed a few servers passed us by with NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT! There was no sign that said seat yourself or wait to be seated so there definitely was confusion being this was the first time coming to eat here. I live in the area and wanted to give these guy a try. So we found some outside seating but the table was filthy but I still was going to give them a break. Two servers came outside to the other tables that were and totally did not acknowledge us! Not 1 time not 2 time but 3 times and still no acknowledgement. We waited outside for about 15 minutes. The only reason why one server decided to come greet us is because we stared them down. We were so angered by the lack of appreciation we decided to leave. It definitely felt like our business was not welcomed. I have worked in the service industry for many years and these are one of my biggest pet peeve's. read more

Had a slice from a co-worker, good, so, I figured I'd try them. Never again, they are rude and act like they are doing you a favor. When I walked in, male who was at counter, looked at me and turned his head, no greeting. Now, I didn't want to jump to conclusions about calling someone a racist ( he was white and I'm black), but I watched as customers walked in, he greeted the white ppl and simply ignored the black ppl. I really liked this pizza spot, the restaurant itself is hip and fun and very casual which I really like. Great drink menu and the pizza was absolutely delicious! I also ordered the jalapeno tots which were really good as well. Service was a little slow but only due to how busy it was that night and I only saw two servers on the floor. It's lost that "neighborhood pizzeria" feeling. Westside Pizzeria used to be a westside hangout. They had a distinctive little building with a nice little patio. Now that they have moved up the street to a strip mall, it feels a bit sterile. An annoyance for some of us older folks is the newly electronic menu. Some of us geezers don't even own smartphones, and while I do (really, I'm only in my 50s), I don't always carry mine everywhere I go. Pizza used to be a simple, uncomplicated comfort food for the masses, not elitist food. Pizza is tradition. Going out for pizza should be something every generation can feel comfortable doing. I complained to a gentleman who was helping with our service and who identified himself as an owner, and he was very candid, saying it costs him money to print menus. How about a chalkboard, then? Big colorful print. I understand many restaurants adopted electronic menus during the early days of the pandemic, but that was before it was known that surfaces are not a real concern for transmitting the virus. And you can wipe down a laminated menu. In fairness, they will loan you a tablet to read the menu, but it was not much bigger than a large smartphone. Same for the beer list portion of the menu. Maybe I'm the type who can never be satisfied, but I can't believe I used to gripe that Westside Pizzeria didn't have enough of a beer selection; now it's HUGE--exactly the opposite--and that makes it difficult to navigate, especially on a tiny smartphone screen. Again, how about a chalkboard, listing beers by style? Lastly, my group noticed that the plasticky picnic-style table (fake wood-grain kind of thing) we sat at had sort of sharp corners. Not dangerously so, but just not comfortable. Oh for an old-fashioned wood picnic table. But no. Again, this is a sterile strip mall. I give Westside Pizzeria two stars because it's fine. The pizza is fine. The beer is fine. It's all "fine." Just not what it used to be. read more

I'm bummed this place gets bad reviews. I've been there twice and both times it was incredible. Fast, pleasant service both times, once at the bar and once in a booth. The first time, I got pasta and my husband got pizza.... the pasta was amazing and the pizza was better. When we went back last night, we opted to share a large pizza. The pepperoni was super crispy both times (a must for me) and just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Great crust too. The beer selection, though it's pretty pricey, is really good. Lots of craft options which I like, and they have a special agreement with Red Brick Brewing (right down the street) so they always have unusual brews from them. I really don't know why people are unhappy here. Since we just moved to West Midtown, I plan to frequent this place. I can't make any complaints. read more

Just enjoyed a solid slice of pizza (available til 5:00) and an ice cold Coke. Things were quiet when I visited later in the afternoon on a Friday. Definitely a "middle-aged, middle-class white guy" feel to the place, and I get the feeling that describes a lot of the regulars. Service was friendly and efficient, and the slice was good.
