Although the service was pleasant, the place is very small and pretty slow. The deck allows you to look out at the harbor while you wait, very nice. The problem was the smash burger. The fault is mine because I didn't believe anyone would put two sausage patties on a bagel, add cheese and bacon jam and not do something to make it not just drip with grease. Picked up some breakfast take-out in January '24 as a nasty freezing rain/ice storm made landfall. Found the staff here were very friendly & affable. The Sunrise Burrito & the Sunrise Sandwich both were beyond what we hoped - very fresh ingredients in the right amounts, & filled us up for the start of a Depoe Bay King Waves vacation. My husband and I were on our way out of town and wanted a quick breakfast sandwich to-go, but weren't in the mood for a drive thru. After a quick Yelp search, we stumbled across the best breakfast sandwich we've ever had! We shared the Sunrise Sandwich and the Wild Salmon Bagel- they were both phenomenal. The hash brown and chipotle rosemary sauce on the Sunrise really completed the sandwich, no ketchup or hot sauce necessary. This is my FAVORITE place to eat in Depoe Bay. Words cannot describe how hearty, fresh and delicious the Sunrise Breakfast Burrito (add avocado) was. My husband got the Sunrise Breakfast Sandwich and it was also great. Their espresso drink was yummy and the service was 10/10. All of the tables inside were full when we arrived, but they have an outdoor patio below the restaurant with equally amazing views of the harbor and seals. Cute cafe with a view. It's a little hard to get parking so you're lucky if you get a spot in front of the cafe like we did after turning around once. Customer service is great although we waited quite a while for our food - yummy food so worth the wait! I had their smoked salmon chowder and it's a lil bit spicy but flavor is great. My hubby ordered the breakfast burrito and it has arugula that surprised us but in a good way. Definitely a great spot to get breakfast/brunch when we visit my in-laws. read more

First- the restaurant is under new ownership with a new menu. We never came before the change. But the food here is amazing. Super fair prices and the owners are the most down to earth humans. Perfect mix of options and everything is fresh and interesting. Really hope this place takes off. The Oregon Coast has such a lack of original, thoughtful food options. Sunrise breakfast sando, biscuits and gravy (I saw the biscuits come out of the oven - they're huge, soft and fluffy) and salmon bagel all had amazing flavor, quality ingredients, great texture. I will miss and crave the chipotle rosemary sauce. Wish we lived closer so I could eat here regularly. However there were a few things that gave it one less star. First our avocado toast was on a bagel, as a sandwich and not open face as pictured. For some reason the bagel was placed on a tray by itself, no plate. On first glance it looked underwhelming but as mentioned, it was really good! Looking at the menus pictured, the menu today was not the same, offerings were different.
