I came here for dinner before heading out fishing. They are so unbelievably slow. There's hardly anyone here and no one is eating we're just waiting for food. I can hear the manager dressing down her workers, so unprofessional. When I finally got my food the burger and fries were cold. Sonic or McDonald's would have been a better option. read more

Food orders are consistently wrong, fries are most of the time cold, drive thru and take out lines are ALWAYS a long wait. I mostly order ahead on the mobile app to avoid the lines and the ETA is never even close to being correct and can sometimes be late by 10 or 15 minutes. No joke. If you order ahead you may as well give yourself a 10 minute buffer before heading to the restaurant. I love Whataburger but this one really needs to step their game up. read more

I am very disappointed with Whataburger anymore. Their French fries are so small now that they get cold & hard. The meat is so thin that there isn't much to the burger. I don't recommend going after 12 am unless you like to wait 45+ minutes. I don't understand around this time you have less customers and still manage to take 20 hours to take/make order. Service: the cashiers does not inform any customers that there is no ice for their beverages. Food: Abysmal. Over fried and tastes like rubber. Overall: the restaurant is not clean at all. There are straws and salt packers all over the floor. The workers are slow and are not motivated to work. This is the worst Whataburger I've ever been to. We waited over 45 minutes for our food and then when we get it there's very few fries and onion rings in each order and beyond that the food was very cold. It really seems like they made our order in five minutes but let us sit and wait for 40 more minutes while it sat and got cold. This place shouldn't even be allowed to be called a Whataburger since it's so lousy. read more

Ordered 2 burgers with fries and onion rings. Received food within 10 min. Drove home immediately, which only took a minute since we live just down the street. The fries were the only item that was hot. Both burgers were cold! Not warm....they were cool to the touch. Whataburger's sale pitch is that they cook to order. I call BS to this claim, at least at the Rockport TX location. The patty was so thin and had obviously been cooked long before my order. In fact the patty had split into 2 paper thin pieces and were placed back on the burger bun in a non burger patty shape. It should not have been served. I'm not sure what has happened to the food quality or customer service at this particular location. Beware, food quality, cleanliness and customer service has faltered at this location. Someone from corporate or franchise owner needs to check on the management at this location. read more

Terrible,Terrible,Terrible All I have to say. I waited over 30 minutes to get my meal in the drive through and it wasn't all that busy,then they brought me two orders that were someone else's. I went inside to ask if they had my order and explained to the manager what happened and she got upset with me. The WB staff at different locations in my hometown are all good some even great. The orders are correct, staff is happy to help and keep the lines moving. This Rockport location is always lacking in customer service. We have been many times over the years. No comparison to other WB locations. Today I ordered a WB Jr without onions. Guess what there were a lot of onions. Hubby ordered the bacon blue cheese, it was good. They did not offer ketchup and only gave us 2 napkins. Walked in for a Togo order and had to wait on an employee going to the counter to order first. We ordered, then sat down to wait. In the ten minutes we were there three more people came in to order, each having to wait on another employee showing up and ordering between them. Then one of those employees alerted the desk that there wasn't any lids or straws. Instead of filling it up himself he kept bothering the person who was alone with a line trying to take orders. He even cut off an old man trying to get coffee. Our food was good, but no condiments were offered and my daughters cinnamon roll was ice cold and hard. I have been bouncing around Rockport for the last few months and have been to this Whataburger 6-8 times. First of all it's my favorite fast food restaurant brand and this store has been a good experience. The inside looks like it could have been recently renovated. There is plenty of parking although the location is not always the easiest to get in and out. The drive thru never seems fast but it's also always quite crowded. The food is good for fast food. The service has always been good that I can remember. The menu is broad and you can get some items that are not overly unhealthy which is appreciated. Really nothing to say bad about the place. read more

Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas coast, costing many lives, while many people lost their homes and livelihoods. The town was without electricity, running water, or gas for weeks. There were many wonderful people giving out emergency rations and bottles of water, but non-perishable foods get tiresome after a while. Then, the rumors started swirling around town- the first restaurant to reopen in town! French fries?! Whataburger!!! The line snaked down Highway 35 with hungry storm victims, lining up for what turned out to be free Whataburgers, fries, and a drink. For many Rockport residents, this was the first breath of normalcy in this hurricane ravaged town. To be able to have a familiar, delicious hamburger and fries meant the world to the community. It reminded the residents that things are bad, but they're going to be better, going to be fixed and rebuilt. The burger was the best I'd had in as long as I can remember, and the french fries were the first hot food I'd had all day. Although the canned soda was warm (ice is hard to come by with no electricity,) the meal was delicious. The Whataburger employees were there to smile, thank us for coming, offer their support, and listen to people's stories. They provided toys for the kids, and sunglasses for the adults. It was an amazing experience to see what a strong part of the community that this burger company is. I am proud of Whataburger- their food is amazing, and I will always remember the relief that was provided to Rockport by the simple act of serving up hamburgers. read more
