Stopped by here after a concert and was never treated so rudely. When i ordered the girl rang up double my order. When I tried to correct it she told me to pay at the window. When I explained what happened to the guy at the window I got the same runaround (I guess wanting cheese on your burger is their code for the meal, which I told them I did not want the bloody meal!). When the guy saw I was getting pissed he finally fixed the order (and somehow the charge was more than the original charge). When we got back to our hotel room we were extremely let down by the quality of the food. The meat was overly peppered, buns were stale, and the fries tasted like they stayed in the warmer for 2 days. This was our first time at Whataburger and our first impression was e negative one. If I could give this location zero stars I would! We have been to this location over 30 times over the last 5 years and we have NEVER received the correct order. NEVER. Today I sent my cheeseburger back 4 times and it still wasn't correct. The staff was laughing about their mistakes. Luckily there is another location on 6th which gets the orders correct. Don't go to this location! How difficult is it to make a cheeseburger without mustard and mayo?? Twice I got it back without the cheese! I stopped at this Whataburger drive thru and was so impressed with the girl who took my order. She was nice and polite, genuinely happy. When I arrived at the window to get my food, she greeted me with a warm friendly smile. Her attitude and demeanor, was that of wonderful customer service. I believe her name was Manuela. Fast food is usually so predictable it doesn't call for review, but this place is interesting. Every time I've been at night, the employees were really having a blast, so there was some free entertainment. They also keep coming around offering to bring refills, clean up the table, and the like--seems oddly attentive for fast food--I've had worse service in restaurants where I actually expected service. I placed my order online at 1:48pm. I arrived at 1:59pm and CHECKED IN using the whataburger carside check in system. As I am waiting, it gets really hot, being summer time in Arizona, so I put my sun shade up. At 2:10pm I got off the car, & went inside to see why I haven't received my order. The entire time I was outside waiting, I observed 2 customers come & go, obviously they weren't busy. I asked for a manager. I was approached by "ISA" who claimed to be a manager. I explained that I had been waiting outside for 10 minutes and never received my order. The manager "ISA" who is visibly annoyed, starts arguing with me, instead of getting my order, telling me that she didn't bring my order out because I had my sunshade up. She said she walked to the front door of the building, saw my sunshade up & decided it was another customer that had parked there. I explained to her that I had my sunshade up, because it is summer & very hot outside, especially when I had to wait out there for so long. As I am speaking to the manager "ISA" , she turns away from me rolling her eyes mid conversation. At this point I just asked for a refund because of her extremely rude behavior & how unappreciated she made me feel. She tells me that she can not give me a refund, & I would have to call the 1800 number, because I ordered through the app. I asked for the full phone number, & she went to the office to write it down. She came out a couple of minutes later, on the phone with someone, puts the phone number down on the counter, & attempts to walk away. I asked her why she didn't make an attempt to even walk outside, & if she had done so, she would've heard my car on and running. She continued to argue with me about my sunshade, all while still holding the phone to her ear, I explained to her that I was not finished speaking & asked for her full attention, as it is very rude & unprofessional for her to be on the phone. Again she is visibly annoyed and puts the phone down by her waist, but doesn't hang it up. I asked her why would she think my car belonged to a different customer, if I had CHECKED IN to that specific space, using THEIR system, & what's the whole point of checking in if nobody is even going to make an attempt to bring the order out, to which she replies "you have your freaking sunshade up!" Surprised by her comment, I said "wow, really? That's how you speak to your customer's?" She replied "well what else do you want me to say?" In an extremely rude and childish demeanor. I explained to her, that as a manager, she needs to maintain her professionalism and lead by example, as all of her employees were standing there watching her. She then says "is that all?" At that point I left, because I pretty much lost my entire lunch break, due to the inconvenient situation "ISA" created. I love Whataburger. Being that I'm from Texas, I am all too familiar with this place, however this one is the nicest one on Tucson. The one on River gives it a run, but the employees here are so nice and helpful. I know it's fast food, but the food is pretty darn good for its price and quickness. Check it out! read more

Good food and friendly service! The gentleman who took my order was polite and gladly customized my order when I asked him to. The only reason I give this review 4/5 stars is because the table and bench seat seemed particularly greasy. I know this is a fast food restaurant, but it was a bit much. i LOVE whataburger, and i have to write about this location as i have been there quite a few times in the past few years. first up is the cleanliness of the place, every time i have been there, it's been clean. the employees also are professional in appearance also. in one visit, i over heard the manager giving props to an employee that apparently helped out the night before for something or other and told him that his dinner that night was on the house. small thank you's like that impress me. on to the food. there have been only a couple of times that i have eaten there. those two times, our orders were correct, very hot and damn good. when they bring the food to your table, they repeat the order and also have a tray with condiments to offer and then ask if there is anything else that is needed and will bring it back if so. on the to go side, same as above pretty much, which is to say, correct, hot and whoa...damn good! the only issue i had was once when i was given a large chocolate shake instead of the medium that i actually ordered, but i was not going to complain! while whataburger may be considered fast food, in the sense of a less than 5 minute wait thru the drive through, i can't ever remember it being that quick, but whataburger is worth it, especially this location. kudos to the management there and the employees that continue to keep me coming! read more
