I set an appointment for a simple oil change, and it may because of my age and gender, but I left this appointment knowing that I will never come to another Wheel Works again for service. The manager Hiểu was nice enough to provide the typical discounts for this service and for my Honda Civic coupe. My mistake was leaving my house key with them for so long. After promising that my appt would only take an hour, they took 3 hours to return my car back to me. The customer service is very rude and inconsiderate. The team here is always very nice and has never tried to nickel and dime me. Their prices have always been great and they uphold some good warranties on parts. Took off one star only because a few years ago they replaced all 4 brake systems on my truck and had to replace them multiple times due to warped rotors. I ended up having to go to the dealership and pay for all new brake systems. Other than this experience this Wheel Works has always been amazing and the guys who work there are super friendly and always willing to help and give advise. read more

Worst tire replacement service that I've ever had. They broke one TPMS, and said it's not their fault as this TPMS was too tight. And gave me option to put that broken TPMS back or buy new one. I had to buy new one as they already finished 3 tires. but they charged me $80 for one TMPS (4 pack is just $30~$50 on Amazon) and also charged $100 for TMPS programming. My friend needed a full inspection of her car. Since it's close by home, decided to make an appointment for Saturday morning 9am to take her car in. Dropped off her car and was told she will receive a call in the AFTERNOON, means after 12pm. Comes noon, no call. Comes 3pm, no call. Calls shop, tells her they will call her in afternoon (mind you, shop closes at 6pm and it was already 3pm). Goes in at 530pm (30 minutes before closing), gets told they never looked at her car after (1) had a 9am appointment and confirmed and (2) 8 hours had gone by with NOTHING DONE. My friend took back her keys and left. Don't waste your time coming here. Customer service is poor. You're better off somewhere else. read more

Please avoid this Wheel Works location at all cost, they do not provide updates on your car service, understaffed and lack understanding in the definition of an appointment. I was confirmed for a scheduled appointment for 9AM on a Saturday morning because I needed a full vehicle inspection for my car. Checking in was simple, employee checked my car's odometer and I handed him my keys. (He didn't even lock my car doors, luckily I double checked to make sure they were locked before I left the shop) He told me that they would call me in the afternoon which was the ETA for when my car would be ready. Hours later-still no call and I called the shop for an update of my car, employee was clueless and then proceed to tell me that a technician was working on another car and my car was next. This gave me some hope that my car can finally be worked on. Again, hours later, no call back from the shop. I showed up with a friend 30 mins before closing, just to see if my car even moved into the shop, and to my surprise, it was still parked in the same spot where I left it that morning. I went inside and asked the employee if my car was ready, and it was never worked on at all. He proceeds to tell me that two of the guys were out sick, which would've been helpful if I was told beforehand and I would've have waste my time waiting on them to work on my car. I ended up going to another Wheel Works location, and my car actually moved into the shop quickly, and inspection took less than an hour, compared to the 8 hour of non-existent work at this location. Honestly, do not go here for any of your car needs. This is my first time going to Wheel Works because the Firestone closed down nearby and I've gotta say this is the WORST customer service and experience I've had in awhile. I had an oil light that won't turn off brought in, they did their diagnosis, said I needed oil and the sensor swapped out. Seems simple right? They asked me to leave my car over night so they can order the part. Next day, I had NO communication from them and I had to call them at 3PM. Come to find out they ordered THE WRONG PART, and did not think to call me? They asked to keep the car another night. I said fine. The NEXT DAY (now Wednesday) still no call ALL DAY. I had to call back at the same time (3PM) to ask when am I getting my car back?? They mention their Master Mechanic is not in today and their techs cannot replace the part. They still DID NOT think it was a good idea to let me know?? And they want to keep my car ANOTHER DAY? All in all, that's 3 days in counting they've had my car and they NEVER thought it was a good idea to keep me updated?? Terrible communication, terrible customer service, terrible everything. WARNING TO EVERYONE IF YOU CAN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE GO DONT COME HERE! This was the one time my dad had the worse experience with wheelworks for my alignment. We took it in yesterday for an alignment and when they were finished NO call. My dad had to call them and they said they'll check and didn't call back until 10 minutes after. We got there and picked up the car thinking it was completely normal. My dad has been a long time customer to wheelworks never took any of our family cars to any other shops. So he thought it was gonna be normal everything is fine. Today he was gonna go out with my car to test the alignment to realized in the garage it was damaged. Wheelworks damaged my car and never bothered to say anything. They said we already had the scratched but I know DAMN WELL my car never had a scratch near the tires. So my dad took it back and QUANG ( the person who worked on my car) said we already had it and showed him their paperwork where he circled the section and said "scratched" but come on even if it was done and they scratched it afterwards they could've just marked the scratched to not have any trouble. So because they already marked the spot that's supposedly been already "scratched" before we can't claim our insurance NOTHING. The worse thing is Quang himself said there's cameras recording everything so my dad waited for the Manager himself and asked if he can look at the previous recording because of this scratch. But the manager himself said " we don't have cameras." Like why one person say there's cameras and one other person say there isn't. I honestly don't know if I could ever go To wheelworks without taking a picture of my car entirely just to be safe anymore not just my car but everyone in the family cars. The only reason why we would return is my dad prepaid for a full year of Alignments without having to pay but honestly if we didn't have that it would've been the last time of us showing up. Wheelworks get better employees who will own up to their mistakes and not frame it to the customers thinking we don't check our cars every single day or look at our car every single day. And Get cameras to other customers in the future won't be played by you guys and you can prove that you didn't actually do something to any cars. read more

I've brought my car here twice before and I've always left satisfied! The workers are super nice and friendly. I'm so glad there's a decent tire shop close to me that's reputable and efficient! The first time I came, they pumped air in my tires for free (I didn't know how to do it yet LOL) since my tire pressure was on. The last time I came, they found a nail in one of my tires and fixed it for a very good price! Although the wait time was longer than anticipated, I was happy and felt safe using my car after. I came in on Monday and was told it wasn't busy. I wanted specific tires and was told their supplier was held up due to the bay area fires, which is understandable. The Vietnamese guy who seems like he was the manager told me to try getting the tires at Costco. Come Tuesday, I had my tires shipped to me already by tirerack.com, which I highly recommend using to leverage a better deal on your tires. That being said, the same guy forgot I came in Monday and didn't seem enthusiastic to throw the tires on the wheels although I purchased a lifetime alignment with wheel works at the Alum Rock location. I understand how business works since he couldn't make more money off the transaction from a tire sale, but I was in the red zone for my rear tires and I needed it done. He told me it would take a few hours due to them being busy, which definitely seemed that way. I told him it was fine, but he would have rather had me come in Wednesday. I said I really needed it done, so he obliged. They actually got it done a lot sooner. Up until this point it would be a 5 star review, however I received the car back and wasn't informed that they burned a nice strip of my steering wheel while operating the car for their business as you can see in the attached photo. Also, I'm a skeptic and checked that they not only lost 1 of my tire valve stem caps, but also overinflated my front tires by 3 PSI each. This shows me they aren't detail oriented and the principle of losing the valve stem cap and damaging my steering wheel without admittance shows me unprofessionalism. Also, becareful what kind if valve stem caps you put on your wheels as they can potentially cause issues. I'm a "car guy" and a detail oriented person, so I am a critic when it comes to my "baby." I probably won't come here again. Kudos to the guy who finished my transaction as I've seen him at the 24 on McKee regularly. God bless us all and I pray the manager fixes the printer and looks his customer in the eyes and chats them up when he makes them wait. Never take a vehicle here! I was helped by Jason who ordered mud tires for my truck when I specifically asked for all-terrain tires. I dropped my truck off on a Sunday night and it wasn't ready to be picked up until Wednesday evening. for tires..... to try and remedy the length of time it was taking Jayson offered an alignment which he then charged me for???.....and was not willing to help me get all-terrain tires on my truck. In the end Jason refunded me $16 for the time delay. Now I'm stuck with these Gawdy loud tires because I just shelled out $1000 and had to get rides for three days. Price was fine but the final invoice included the following " to comply with the cal air resources board, we will check and adjust your vehicles tire pressures. Actual psi : 33/33/33/33. This checked out as it complies with the car's manufacturer recommendation, however after having a sensor go off and measuring my tires, they were all over inflated to 55. I brought my car to this place after the dealer's warranty expired. There were three times that my car came out of this shop worse than when I brought it in for service. The first time I thought they just found other problems and wanted more work just like the dealerships always do. The second time I thought maybe it was coincidence because the car was 10 years old. However, the third time was bad and I brought the car right back. I told the service advisor about the problem. I was upset and confronted the mechanic because I know my car didn't have this problem before I brought it into the shop. I read the reviews and wow They were consistent with regard to there phone etiquette, which they have none. I waited on the phone and thought the guy had hung up on me because there was dead silence, He didn't say what he was doing, but I was patient and waited. He claimed to be the boss. There were 2 numbers from which I was getting texts from. I called both numbers, but no one picked up and they just keep texting me. The boss told me to come out to a pay less parking lot near the shop where they were waiting because as he put it, they were tired of my s*** Yeah, I was upset, but sticks and stones, buddy. The personnel in here is very rude and unprofessional. I made an appointment to change my tires on Saturday, April 1st 2023 at 9am. I dropped off my car around 9am. I called them around 1pm to see when my car might be ready as the Hispanic male worker suggested it was going to be ready around 2pm. I got there around 2pm and waited inside the store for almost four hours. The store inside was hot as the heater was broken. I kept on checking with them But they never gave me any real updates. They just kept telling me to just continue to wait. I finally heard back from the person who wrote up my order around 5pm. His name is Dan and he told me that he forgot to order the tires so he had to pick up the tires from a different store. By the way, he was Cussing and being very unprofessional.I waited until 6pm and I told them that I will just come back the next day. I went back the next day and none of the staff apologized. I show up at 455pm to pick up my car. Cashier has 20 minute conversation about him looking at other jobs that are willing to pay him more while there are 3 other customers behind waiting to just pay and pick up their cars.. Took my car in for minor work. They called me a few hours later & told me I needed some major work done. I told them I couldn't afford it. When I went to pick up my car, they told me they'd give me a huge discount if I got the work done with them. They also said that my car was dangerous driving with this issue. It was going to cost me over $3,000 to fix. I decided to take my car to the dealer & get their opinion. I gave the dealer WW paperwork. Dealer inspected my car & said there was NOTHING wrong with my car. Dealer said I made a good choice in getting 2nd opinion. This is such a sad situation since this facility is in a poorer neighborhood and I'm sure I'm not the only one they've tried to take advantage of. Do your homework people. read more
