[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came in on a Sunday morning around 9:30am and there was plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got a yuzu mint fizz and then saw that they also have Matcha black sesame lattes, which I will definitely try next time. The yuzu mint fizz came in small medium or large, and I got the large and it was delicious!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a cozy little coffee shop right next to NYU.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely the service here is spectacular. They are friendly and made the coffee delicious. My Cortado was made with oat milk and decaf and a dusting of cinnamon. Both drinks tasted amazing. Definitely give them a try for yourself.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Friday afternoon, very quiet, it was nice to just hangout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's also a loyalty card. We got a small peach earl grey fizz - it has a nice level of carbonation and refreshing. It did take a couple of sips to get used to the tea aftertaste but it grew on me. The large black sesame matcha latte was good too, and the matcha lightens up the black sesame flavor. You have to stir it well and we ended up adding a little simple syrup to add some sweetness.

Ordered: Iced Yuzu Mint Lemonade Fizz (~$6) Aya's take: If you're looking for a unique coffee & tea experience, Whistle & Fizz is just that place! I ordered the Iced Yuzu Mint Lemonade Fizz off their "Fizz" category of their menu. It's a refreshing blend of cold pressed lemons and sparkling mint lemonade topped with yuzu. It was a beautiful, warm day in NYC so this was the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and refreshing. It's a great drink to sip on while enjoying a stroll around the park. I would absolutely come back and try something off the "Whistle" category or their classic/specialty drinks. Highly recommend!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good ambiance[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], good coffee, and service for an affordable price. My friend got the nutella latte half and half and it is good as well.

Visiting NYU and came across this gem! First time I'm trying nitro tea, so I was excited. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is cozy, with some seating, but not very much.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was so friendly, deceiving their nitro tea (strongly brewed tea, infused with tiny nitrogen bubbles to make the taste smoother). I decided on the nitro black milk tea (nitro black tea with a little condensed milk mixed in). I did not adjust sweetness nor ice (I'm usually a light ice and half sweet girl at tea shops), and the balance was everything was perfect! Not too sweet with their original recipe! Wish I were a local, because I would be here often!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The service here is great and the shop itself is super cute; a great place to study or do work with a lot of outlets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have tons of unique drinks from fizzy flavored lemonades to nitro teas! We got the fizzy strawberry yuzu lemonade and the nitro green tea. The tea had such a unique texture that I've never had paired with the tea flavor before and the sweetness level was perfect. The lemonade was also good but not my favorite. I definitely recommend coming here for a refreshing drink, especially if you're looking for something different and not too creamy/milky.

Narrow, cozy spot that's still roomy.

Did a quick search for a chill coffee spot where I could work for an hour or so on a Sunday afternoon and came across this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good menu, good prices, good Wi-Fi, and chill vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice barista, and reasonably low levels of noise.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a very cute and cozy coffee shop near NYU campus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]seems to be very clean and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are some tables and chairs also with outlets near them so that is a big score![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had an iced latte with a little lavender in it. It was tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff were nice and at the time I went it was not crowded at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I found a cute corner seat by the door and it had an outlet right next to it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I loved my nitro milk tea with boba from Whistle & Fizz. I also had a sip of my companion's drink and it was equally distinctive and delicious. I love places that treat tea and coffee with similar reverence. Whistle & Fizz is one of them.

A relatively small cafe but there's an ample amount of seating (metal stools and wooden benches) and lots of wall outlets inside (you might have to try spotting them while looking around for a seat though). People are working on their laptops throughout the day and staff won't shoo you out. This cafe has been around for several years, last time I've stopped by was 4 years ago before the pandemic. Right around the corner from one of the NYU buildings. Conveniently located by the R/W lines at 8th St NYU and 6 train at Astor Place. Staff is patient, friendly and chill; willing to help and explain to customers about their pastries and/or drinks on the menu. You can ask the staff to help you refill water in your reusable water bottle. They offer free wifi for customers too. Didn't get a pastry as I'd just eaten lunch, maybe next time if/when I'm in the neighborhood again. I ordered a medium size iced peach earl grey fizz for $5.44. Glad that inflation times haven't brought up the price by too much. Accepts credit/debit card and/or cash as forms of payment. If you decide to check in on the Yelp app, you'll get a free topping (lychee jelly or tapioca pearls ~ usually an extra 75¢ regularly) in the drink of your choice. Love that I can clearly taste both the peach and earl grey flavors in the fizzy drink. Very refreshing indeed!!! Can ask for less ice (but not sure if you can ask for completely no ice?) There's no public bathroom for customers, so you might've to find one on the next block or something..... Free Wifi: Username: Whistle & Fizz Pswd: whistleandfizz (all lowercase letters) So, drop by for the cozy vibes and leave with a satisfying drink (and/or a pastry) in your hand.

Fast service and very nice when I asked what nitro meant. It just meant a foamy top on your drink. Got the nitro Jasmine milk tea with boba and lychee. Toppings are extra 75 cents.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute and cozy coffee shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here to warm up for a bit and I'm so glad I did come here than go to any other coffee shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The black sesame latte was so good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes are 10/10.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely return to try their fizz drinks.

When I walked in, I noticed a sign saying they were voted #1 in a blind taste test for their chocolate chip cookies. I was skeptical and honestly assumed this might be one of those hyped-up social media spots . But I figured, why not? I decided to get the chocolate chip cookie along with the Maple Freeze, a slushy-style coffee drink. The Maple Freeze was pretty good! It wasn't overly sweet, which I really appreciated, and it was a nice caffeinated treat during this 91° heat wave. But THE COOKIE... I ate the chocolate chip cookie when I got home without even warming it up, and it was incredibly delicious. It was perfectly gooey on the inside and genuinely one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had. Dare I say, better than Levain Bakery cookies?! I'm so glad I gave it a chance because the cookie hype is actually REAL. It's not just another overhyped social media spot--the cookie is truly that good. I'll definitely be coming back the next time I have a nail appointment.

The Jeju Green Tangerine Matcha honestly just tastes like a tangerine selter drink but in the best way, because I don't typically enjoy seltzer or carbonated beverages. I really enjoy the flavor and the carbonation isn't too strong, probably because I brought it home to drink. I don't really taste the matcha but I would definitely still order this again. 2. Matcha Einspanner. This is my first time having an Einspanner so I have no idea what I was expecting but this is DELICIOUS. It's so silky and smooth and the TASTE is just right up my alley. The matcha is light but you can still taste it. Absolutely, would drink this all the time if I could. 3. Purple Sweet Potato Latte. This. This. Omg, why haven't I tried this sooner?! The first sip and initial taste, I almost tasted nothing, just milk. And then all of a sudden, there's an explosion of flavor in your mouth. As a sweet potato lover, I was in heaven. I have absolutely no words for this drink, just try it. 100/10 recommend. This is probably my favorite one out of the 3 that I bought. I went around ... 2:45PM on a Friday and most of the seats were taken, if I remember correctly. There were a decent amount of seats and the space was decent. I liked the minimal aesthetic they had for the design of the interior. Not to forget, the staff at the register was absolutely wonderful, she answered all my questions, she's so sweet. I think I'm disappointed that I haven't tried this place sooner. Y'all get out of your comfort zone and try the Purple Sweet Potato Latte !! Or if not, just try this place out. The topping was literally like actual tiramisu rather than just tiramisu flavoring, and it felt like there was more ice and tiramisu than latte. Personally, I would have preferred more of the tiramisu flavor without the full tiramisu texture mixed into the drink. That said, it was an interesting concept and I'm glad I tried it. I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying another latte on a future visit.

I probably never leave reviews in general, especially negative ones, but this experience was so…read moreegregious that I honestly felt like I had to say something. I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
