First I wouldn't suggest coming here on a busy weekend night. Our wait was 55 minutes and this made us a little unhappy and grumpy after we'd been told 30-35. That being said, the food was quite good and I wold return 'sans line". But was it worth the wait, well...it was very good, but not worth an hour wait. Waiting an additional 20 kind of knocked off a star especially when we still had a bit of a wait for our food afterwards. read more

Really solid dinner here that was big enough to have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. I always get seafood tofu soup when I go to Korean restaurants but this place a) doesn't have that and b) has this extensive menu of bibimbap options that seems like its flagship, so I opted to order what they are best at. You can customize a bowl with rice (white or brown), meat (bulgolgi, spicy pork, fish cake, etc), and whether or not you want dolsot (sizzling stone pot). As a rule, if a Korean place has dolsot, get it. Stone pot rice is so much better than rice in a normal bowl. It stays super hot, gets crispy on the parts that are touching, and you can toast kimchi on the side of the bowl (ok, that might just be me.) I ordered a bulgolgi dolsot bibimbap (marinated thinly sliced beef sizzling stone pot rice bowl). It came with a little sauce dish of gochujang (Korean sweet chili sauce) which I poured liberally into my pot and stirred around, as per instructions on the wall of the restaurant. It was delicious! Super hot, spicy and sweet, the bulgolgi are tender, perfectly marinated with a balance of sweet, savory, and garlic and shallot flavor without being too strong, and the other bibimbap regulars (spinach, carrot, delightfully runny egg, mushrooms) are each cooked just right. They provide two complimentary banchan (side dishes) and you can order I think a more comprehensive banchan as well. The restaurant is fairly small with an open kitchen and mostly two-top tables. read more

Absolutely fantastic Korean restaurant in Bozeman! This little restaurant is tucked away on the corner of Mendenhall and Wilson. It is without a doubt the best meal we had during our visit to Bozeman. The food, atmosphere, and ambience were amazing! Great selection of wines, beers. Restaurant offers nightly specials on several nights of the week- like specials for MSU students on Wednesday, or half off bottles of wine on Tuesday. The food was incredible. For appetizers, we ordered the Japchae, Korean Wings, and spicy Fried Tofu. Our favorites were the Japchae and the Spicy tofu. For entrees, we had the Dak Bulgolgi and the Galbi. Absolutely delicious. We live out of state, oldest kid attending Montana State- looking forward to coming back. Excellent service, too! Thanks so much. read more

Bibimbap with spicy pork was delicious. Just the right amount of kick, and plenty of flavor. Everyone else in my party ordered bibimbap and loved it. The complimentary side - pickled cucumbers - was tasty, but not plentiful; this can be excused, of course, given they were complimentary. Atmosphere was solid to boot; plenty of natural light and vivid decor. The wait was approximately 30 minutes over dinner hour. After spending most of our trip in smaller towns, I was thrilled to get to Bozeman and find some really great food options! I ordered the bibimbap bowl hot with beef and my boyfriend go the dish with the sweet potato noodles. Both were excellent! I so wanted to love eating at the Pig. The wings were overcooked by about 3 mins (drying out), Bibimbap was lacking flavor, Spicy pork was good. The waiter was friendly, But I would have liked the owner/hostess to have caught my eye at least once to see how things were. It's great to have good ethnic food choices when traveling, and I am sure they can make good food here but unfortunately on my visit both food and service were subpar. We did take out from this restaurant, as we were passing through on our road trip. We were so glad we did! We got the bulgogi kimbap and bulgogi bibimbap, and both were amazing! The bibimbap has loads of veggies (which we definitely needed, being on the road for a few days) and the kids thought it was tasty too. The spicy miso sauce (gochujan) that came with the bibimbap was AMAZING. My husband and I could drink it. It wasn't very spicy, but so flavorful. The kimbap was easy to eat for my 3 year old, a great take out option, and he downed half of it by himself. The dipping sauce that came with it was amazing too! It was a spicy/sour sauce and it went so well with the kimbap. Friendly staff, fresh food, easy take out. I would go back in a heartbeat if we lived nearby. read more

My girlfriend and I were on a 15 hour roadtrip to Yellowstone and we were lucky to find Whistle Pig Korean! After long hours on the road, we needed to stretch our legs and fill our bellies. We got their design your own bibimbap bowls. We went with the traditional purple rice and was amazed out awesome it was. I never got purple rice at a Korean restaurant before so this was new and exciting. I preferred the bulgogi beef over the chicken. Lastly, you gotta get the hot stone bowl. It makes the rice crispy and bumps up the overall experience! I love Korean side dishes and it was disappointing that they didn't serve free sides so we brought their chef selected sides. If you're adventurous or like squid, get the squid jerky. It was savory and sweet. Their kimbap aka Korean sushi is also a must get! A tasty app to your customized bibimbap. read more

Horrible Korean food. I wasn't expecting much in Bozeman, yet they still managed to disappoint my already dismal expectations. Tough meat. Horrible flavorless kimchi. No spice in anything. The hot sauce tasted sweeter than spicy. I don't know where everyone leaving reviews have eaten Korean food but this is the worst I have ever tasted. The fried dumplings are definitely not made fresh there. I'm fairly certain they were frozen as well as most the food. Probably all frozen food from Sysco they reheat. Korean is rare in Montana, this is a great place with great food and great service. Ross (MSU grad) and Emma are the owners and servers, they are very friendly and efficient. The stone bowl (sizzling hot bowl) is recommended, just be careful your stainless steel chop sticks or spoon does not get too hot and burn your mouth! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile, so my husband and I finally made it happen. Cute little place with a cozy, and warm atmosphere. Staff is super friendly. Also had the privilege of having the owner serve us as well, and she's super sweet! Now I'm an Asian food fan, but had yet to try korean food. I ordered the mandu with pork for my husband, and I to start. Had great flavor, and was a perfect appetizer for 2. For my main dish I ordered Bibimbap with tofu, and it was quite delicious. I love that you get to add as little or as much gochujang as you'd like to fit your taste. My husband ordered the spicy pork over rice. I had a couple bites, and the pork was seasoned perfectly. We will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu. We also loved how healthy the food options are!! read more

Not bad but not what I was expecting. I've spent a year in Korea and eaten at several Korean restaurants in other cities. The chicken bulgogi was not what I was looking for. I will say the meal had good flavor and good service, but I either got served the wrong dish or their food is completely different to what I've had before. read more

I was craving Korean food and decided to order take out. The gentleman who took my order the phone was very nice. I placed my order and my food was ready for pickup in 15 mins. My food was nicely packaged to go. The lady who rung up my order was very nice as well. I wished we could of dine in for the whole experience but we weren't able to because we were to exhausted after a day of fishing with our kids. The food tasted better than most korean restaurants back in MN except for the "Rabbit hole in Mpls, MN" which to me has the best tasting bibimbap. Don't get me wrong the food here is great and I totally would recommend it. Free downtown parking available. I ordered the beef bulogi bibimbop. The beef and mushrooms were extremely salty!! Egg was perfectly over medium, red pepper sauce had a nice bite, and veggies were a bit stingy. The saltiness of the beef was torturous after the meal as my tongue was just fried.
