I stopped by the Oak Cliff location of White Rhino Coffee a few Sundays ago on my way to church, and I was having a really tough morning. Stopped for some coffee at White Rhino .. I walked in to order and the guy working there Bastian didn't even know me, but he could tell by the look on my face that I was having a moment and obviously struggling. His kind gesture--simply being kind in a moment when I needed it most--meant more than he probably realizes. If more people were like him, we would truly have a better world. Stopped by White Rhino and grabbed a 12oz iced sweet matcha latte with oat milk and my boyfriend tried a 16oz iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Both were so smooth and tasty! We also got two tacos with potato, chorizo, and cheese on flour tortillas. The staff were super friendly, and the place was so clean I started wondering if they hired actual white rhinos to do the cleaning. Service here is the Slowest ever! Expect to wait for more than 15 minutes or more. I've given this location several opportunities due to the coffee being pretty good. The owner was the one who took care of my friends and eye providing recommendations and gave us a run down about the space. This place is great to come and relax but also study or have group study sessions! There are several seating areas with outlets to charge your devices. They also serve beer and wine! I had the maple glazed biscuit which has subtle flavors of pickle and honey mustard. The mustard looks fresh as you can see the seeds in the mustard but it wasn't over powering which was great. I also had an earl grey creme which had a sweet at the finish but a great caffeinated alternative to coffee. This is a joke. Who's the manager that hires and monitors these children? It's shocking. Gossiping the entire time, not concentrating, making wrong coffees. Owners need to realize you have houndstooth and other great spots right down the street. Your store is giant, high costs / bills. Too many employees gossiping, not making you $$$, just costing you guys $. Fire them all and start over or your business will not make it. If I'm being honest and frank, I've been here twice and will never return unless my coffee is free. Location is not the best on a corner w a horrible parking lot. Wait time is insane. You have 3-4 girls behind a tiny counter where 1 qualified person should be maybe 2 at peak times. Qualified. Key word. You hired young girls that obviously don't do it or didn't prior. Friendly customer service! I ordered a Sebastian with oat milk and gravy filled biscuits at separate times. The cashier actually walked up to me to offer water after ordering the biscuits which was really kind of her. Both the drink and the biscuits were so good, I would have never thought to fill a biscuit with gravy but now I'm in love with it. A great place to work remotely from as the ambiance is very calming but gives just enough background noise to feel not alone but able to focus if you're into that. Cute place. Mostly, I was glad they were open. So many coffeehouses are closing really early, and I really need that pick me up later in the day. The coffee was fine but it was already made, which I found strange for a coffeehouse. I asked for an iced vanilla latte, and the guy behind the counter said he actually already had one made. He picked up the plastic to-go cup, swirled it around, and handed it to me, which I found a little unsettling because typically coffeehouses make lattes right then. But I drank it and it wasn't watered down or anything, so maybe he had just made the wrong thing for the previous person, and I got lucky and didn't have to wait. read more

The interior is well decorated and nothing felt crowded. The baristas were very friendly! I ended up ordering my usual, the cortado. It was a good drink. Nothing about the espresso jumped out at me. It was a lighter roast, slightly fruity. The milk was well steamed and the latte art was great. My wife ordered a iced Cuban coffee. It was excellent. Slightly bitter, slightly sweet, and refreshing! Big fan of White Rhino! Their food is AMAZING - everything I've tried is delicious. Great spot to do work or grab brunch - plenty of outlets. The only reason I almost gave 4 starts is because it can be quite crowded and hard to get a seat. Several times on the weekend especially, I've either had to wait or gave up and left to find a different coffee shop due to seating. Other than that, the coffee is great, the food is great, the atmosphere is great! The first floor is a bit louder with more people socializing, while the second floor is much quieter with more people working and studying. Highly recommend! I stopped by on a Saturday morning, right before we went to tour a potential wedding venue. I've been going to the Cedar Hill location for years and this was my first time at this location. The line was to the door. There was one person taking the orders and one person making the drinks. I think I waited almost 30 minutes to get the three chai lattes.
