Faith was outstanding serving our group and was very nice. Our glasses never got empty and she took a picture of our group for us. Thank you Faith we will be back next time we are in town.

Ultimate sampler

We had an amazing dinner we started off with the ultimate sampler the elk sliders were amazing lots of flavor. My favorite was the gator bites, huge portion of breaded crawfish tails and a fish spread and crackers. For our entree we each got shrimp bonitta it was an amazing cheese covered shrimp and Alfredo sauce dish. We asked for a seat with a view looking right down the lake. The staff was excellent food came out quickly. I didn't care for the jalapeno cornbread I had the skillet of cornbread without jalapenos I think last time I came and that was better. Love this place.

If you are looking for a great place to eat head here. This is right on the river. Make sure you ask for a table facing the river. Everything here is fisherman approved. This is a quiet, clean, and delicious place to eat.

For many years, I'd say more than 10, I've always returned to this small but reliable and charming restaurant. The staff is so professional and friendly that you feel right at home. The food is very good, and they have some special dishes that you'll discover if you go. The view over Lake Taneycomo is spectacular. I have to emphasize Kylie's excellent service and professionalism...until next time!

Kansas City Strip with Crab Cake. Spot on!

During a recent trip to Branson, had a pretty nice dinner with my wife. For starters, were were seated and given a nice cornbread appetizer. It was OK, but nothing terribly spectacular. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, which had tomatoes on it.......not terrible, but was peculiar. Finally, the main course, my wife had the mahi mahi with shrimp and sauce. Her fish was overcooked but the sauce was to her satisfaction. I had the Kansas City Strip with Crab Cake and mashed potatoes, and was very pleased with the cook (it should be noted that I am somewhat of a steak snob, so a cook to impress me is quite some doing).

Love the ambiance

Great food. We had a little private room for our group and the wait staff was wonderful. Try the fishbowl!

They also have a kids' menu, even though it is not listed on the regular menu, which is nice to know if you are bringing children with you. The staff is always awesome, friendly, and welcoming. I also love that the restaurant is located inside an old historic hotel, which gives it such a cool atmosphere -- and maybe even a few ghost stories. Overall, it is a great spot with good food, great service, and a fun historic feel. I definitely recommend checking it out.

The poutine was fabulous. The fry coating was crisp and tasty and the gravy was full of flavor. The Reuben sandwich is outstanding! The way they cut that corned beef was nothing short of magic. An egg on there? What? I've never heard of such a thing, but yes please. And I had the brûlée corn; which I may need to learn how to replicate because I've never seen this on any menu in Chicago, but it's too far to travel as often as I'll be thinking about that dish! The old fashions were smooth! Went with vanilla and loved the subtle flavors. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was a delightful mix of old school pub/English castle. All of it was just what I was hoping to find. Food off the beaten path that deserves a huge shout out. In a town of bland flavors, this place shines like a real gem!

It is a large elegant building with plenty of room for groups, but at times there is a wait. We had the chicken fried chicken and the meatloaf entrees. Both were served with green beans and mashed potatoes. They offer complimentary bread with three types of butter. We really enjoyed the apple butter! And dessert is not to be missed. We had the apple pie, and it was delicious, and more than enough for the two of us. You can peruse the shop before or after your meal to see some of the student made products.

The dining hall is beautifully adorned with cabin-esque motif and overlooks the campus and mountains. The menu has a great variety and notes items that are made by the students (e.g. butters and cakes). Their complimentary, fresh made bread basket with three types of butters was a fantastic start to the meal. We ordered the mushroom soup, the pork belly sandwich w/ fries, and the shrimp and grits. I will say that the pork belly po' boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I almost stayed in town longer on the second day just to order it again. The pork belly was smoky, tender, and sweet and paired so well with the grain mustard, pickled onions and arugula -- superb balance of flavors. My husband also noted the shrimp and grits was some of the best he's ever had. The shrimp and pork belly in the dish were perfectly cooked and the Cajun spices were well balanced. And we have to tell you to try their fresh desserts. The brown butter chocolate cake was a special ending to the meal. This is an excellent stop and our student server provided excellent service - they're doing a great job there and is a highly recommended of ours during your stop during your visit to Branson.

Spectacular as was this year's Winter Wine series, the first dinner of Spring was bursting with the…read morepromise of renewal. The irony of the first course is I always associate persimmons with Autumn but they were perfect in the arugula salad. I feel guilty about my seafood allergy usually requiring at least one substitution but what I was treated to instead of the octopus (which everyone else raved about) was the pistachio crusted lamb lollipops from the restaurant's main menu. Lamb, and green... what better expression of Spring? I would say that was the best lamb I have ever been served but it only displaced the last time I had it at Worman. The tortellini and striploin were scrumptious as well but the dessert tonight was over the top. Several of us commented that we'd never be satisfied with plain ol' strawberry shortcake again. I've tried myself to put an Italian spin on this summertime staple before by macerating the sliced, sweetened berries in balsamic then whipping flecks of minced basil into the cream. Like a caprese salad, the resulting green, white, and red are an homage to their flag. But the inclusion of limoncello was absolutely inspired! Service, as always, was in a league all its own. But I was especially aware this dinner of the artistry of whatever small army of platers there must be hidden back in the kitchen. Whether it's a more intimate wine dinner in the library or we take over the restaurant proper like at Celebration of Tastes, every course comes out looking as consistently beautiful up and down the table. Growing up in a family of 4 kids, Food FOMO was a real thing. My poor mother had to keep track of whose turn it was to get the coveted dab of bacon in a can of pork & beans or sliver of cherry in fruit cocktail. No one leaves Worman House feeling shortchanged.

We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservations, the place was pretty empty however they still made us wait until 5 minutes after our reservation time. We had requested a window seat which quite a few were available and they tried to seat us elsewhere! Already I had a bad taste and I hadn't even sat down. After about 3 more minutes she seated us by the window. We were there for a friend's birthday celebration and wanted it to be special. Her husband told the server. My husband ordered the Worman's Manhattan. He really enjoyed the current infused rye whiskey in it. It added a very unique flavor to the drink. We were brought a complimentary chef's taste of a goat cheese on a small bagette and small glass of sparkling wine. My husband ordered the seafood pot pie and I had the French onion soup and winter spice cranberry salad. The soup was very good and flavorful but the salad was average and definitely not worth the price. My husband enjoyed the seafood pot pie. It was a very generous serving . He shared some with me. It was very rich and creamy. I didn't particularly like the mussels and clams still in their shells inside the" pie" however the pot pie is just pastry crust over a cast iron pan with the creamed sea food. After the meal we were given some stale macaroons with filling that tasted like frosting. There was No acknowledgement of my friend's birthday. We decided to walk down to see Harry's cocktail bar downstairs before calling our shuttle. The manager came into the bar in a bit of a hurried frenzy as we were walking out and asked if it was someone's birthday. We pointed to our friend and he told her happy birthday and then left?!?! Overall I was disappointed in the experience for the amount of money we spent.
