This was the first restaurant my husband and I dined at in Branson and it was very delicious. I can see why it has received strong reviews. We went there on a Tuesday night and were quickly seated. The hostess noticed we had a sleeping toddler and gave us a bigger booth so he could have room to sleep. Our server was warm and attentive. The food was very well done, fresh and delicious. As a member of the design community, I loved the antique and country feel. There were old canoes suspended from the walls, a medley of mixed chairs at individual farmhouse tables, and decorative accents at each table (I love gaslight lanterns). Really the restaurant is out on the lake. - outside seating available - they don't take reservations, but they do have plenty of seating - Decor looks similar to the inside of a bass pro shop (as expected as this is their restaurant) with a nautical, fishy-fish-fish theme. - Masson jars are used drinking glasses. Neat! - full service bar - complimentary corn bread (sweat, peppers, jalapeño) CONS - the food was over cooked. When we told the waitress she actively engaged us stating that all bison meat is always cooked well done ... So why do they even ask me what at level I want the meat cooked ??? - waitress was mostly friendly except for the over-cooked problem. She was also slow and forgetful (bringing us the butter knife for the bread towards the end of the mean) - manager never showed up about the incident. - parking is at the main parking lot... We arrived at the restaurant at 7:56 and was basically turned away and told "I quit accepting names 4 minutes ago". What? Needed to make a quick trip to Branson, MO. Not overly fond of the scene myself, perhaps when I'm grown up I will appreciate it more! Wanted a couple drinks with the wife after a couple of hours of shopping - so after spending $19 on a five year old $50 gift card - we decided on this place for some, plus I could burn the balance on the card. Started off with the "Pain Smasher" nothing special like an infused cocktail, but during the heavy rain outside - I envisioned a steamy mid-day shower in Cabo..... errrrrhhhh! Lasted only a couple of brief seconds. She had the Rum Runner made with slushy ice, she really enjoyed it. Mrs. J ordered some mushrooms stuff with venison pate. They were pretty good. It's early (5:10pm) so the servers are lined up like college students from the 80's looking at final grade sheets in a hallway outside he classroom....10+ of them. It's a big place, sorta like the Red Lobster version for The Bass Pro Shop. $70 bucks, 4 cocktails, the appetizer and two courses later (Baby Back Ribs for her, Fish and Chips for the boat captain). Food was a hit - they had the ribs spot on and meaty. Fish lightly battered and the tartar was custom from the kitchen as expected. See pics! Easily one of our favorite places in Branson. It's easy for everything in Branson to feel gimicky and overly expensive for the what is actually delivered. Not so here! I was leary because it was associated with the Bass Pro Shops, what would that mean really? Inside was tastefully decorated in muted beige/nature tones and yes there were fishing rods and bobbers adorning the walls, but it had a classier and quieter feel than I expected. Color me happy. Located right on the water the views we had from our table at sunset where simply lovely. Perfect place to watch the sun set and the ducks swim while enjoying dinner. I was impressed with the quality of my shrimp and scallop angel hair pasta, served in a delicious lobster cream sauce. It rivals any comparable dish I've had anywhere! It wasn't overly large, no doggie bag needed, but then again that's a blessing as when you are traveling leftovers are usually more hassle than economy. My husband was pleased with his steak and loved the option of having rice pilaf. So many places only offer you endless potato accompaniment options...baked, fried, mashed...etc For dessert we opted to share the key lime pie. It was served in a deep dish ceramic bowl and was definitely big enough to share. Creamy and tart without being overly overpowering in either. Nicely done! The location was perfect for an after-meal walk along the waterfront at Branson Landing. Overall a perfect night to celebrate our anniversary. read more

You can't give it a zero...and this makes me sad. I used to call this my "happy place". So I saved my Christmas money so that I could treat our group of 11 to an experience at my happy place in Branson... I arrived an hour and a half before we wanted to eat to give them a heads-up that I was coming with a big party. They told me it's first-come seating. I said that was fine. I would come back early. I arrived 10 minutes before the rest of the group. The "host" and I discussed table options. I ok'd the table he offered. He told me they needed to add a table to accommodate all of us and that I could sit on the couches next to the tables or at the bar to wait. I chose the couches. I politely told the host that the group was on their way, but we could be patient. There was no need to hurry. The next thing I know, he's seating another group at the table. My husband pointed and said.."our table". The "host" replied..."I told you we were first come, first served"... We were right there waiting for him to set up our table. This is absolutely disgusting. This is a picturesque, rustic, fun spot for riverfront dining. We, all four of us, totally enjoyed the Isaladora Portifino with blackened shrimp and mahi mahi. The service was quick and friendly. Watch the fishermen float by and the folks on the zip line zip by outside. read more

The correct address is 3 S Boardwalk, 65616. We waited here for 20 minutes before being seated. I can wait for 1 hour in such a beautiful place. Free corn bread was very good. I'm not a bread lover, but I ate it all. Nothing left. Fried alligator $10.95. So good!! The alligator was soft and juicy. It was the best alligator I had ever tried. I also love the green sauce. I asked the waitress what is the sauce. She told me that it was made by jalapeno jelly and cream cheese. Love it. Ceasar salad $7.25. I'm surprised that they had table service for Ceasar salad. The salad was good. Seared scallops $14.95. Very impressive. I like the scallops very much. It is a little pity that the angle hair was too soft. White River Fish Company is my favorite place in Branson during this trip. It was the only place made me feel really relax. We had an early dinner on the 29th of September. There were plenty of tables. There were a lot of tables needing bussing. The catfish was good! The slaw was flavorful. The trout almandine was disappointingly dry. There was an up charge for onion rings; yet they were soggy. The flies in the restaurant were bothersome. The view was incredible! Had a family supper here the last night of our vacation and the number of people was no problem for our waitress. She was on the ball! Love the food! I had the Mahi Mahi with Crabmeat and we also tried the Alligator tails appetizer. The jalapeño cornbread was sweet and moist with just the right amount of spice Love the atmosphere! There is outside seating with a beautiful view of the river. Wish Bass Pro would build one of these restaurants in our area of California! First time here. The food was really good, service was a bit slow at first (took about 10 minutes to get our first waitress). After that, wings were good. I did think that the food was a bit pricey for the menu. I can't say that I would return, just because I can get the same food quality, which is good, for half of what I paid tonight. So, minus 1 star for the wait after being seated, and another -1 star for the price point. After looking at my receipt, my wife and I both ordered a side salad, and was supposed to be an additional $2, bit was charged $5.95 each instead. So, I am a little more disappointed about this. Unbelievable. Walk in the door and be literally snapped at by the front door staff to get in line. Then after getting yelled at told the wait is 45 minutes. Unorganized, staff with chips on their shoulder, is a complete fail. I'll never go back and plan on never recommending this place. I really recommend getting the grilled trout, because it is rather delicious on top of the rice. I got the broccoli as a side, but I felt as though there was a little bit too much butter?
