I ordered a cinnamon scone today and at first upon looking at it I thought it was a little overdone. I usually like my baked goods a little bit on the undercooked side. They get my order wrong about 4/5 times. And I'm not talking complicated stuff. Ask for a small vanilla iced latte, I get a medium hot latte. Once their drive through speaker was out so an employee came up to the car and took the order in person. I thought "great, they can't get it wrong this time can they?" But they did. Um...Yum. I loooove coffee. I kind of like caffeine, but it hates me, so in my quest for buzzless beverages, I've tried decaf all over town. Its not easy to find decaf espresso, let alone shots that are crema decaf deliciousness. Until now. These folks know their coffee. I have been here twice. The first time I got an iced mocha and it was fine but nothing special. The second time, I got a cold brew and it was really bad. I couldn't drink it. Bottom line is it's probably an adequate coffee shop for some drinks but I'm not a fan. read more

I have been a pretty loyal white rock coffee customer for quite some time. Recently I have been enjoying their cold brew... however the last few times I ordered this drink, I had been getting a very large and unnecessary amount of ice and very little cold brew. The most recent time I went I decided to ask for "no ice". When I approached the drive through I was handed a cup that was barely 3/4 of the way full. I ask the employee "this is all I get?". He said "yes because the rest would be filled with ice". Absolutely ridiculous. I wanted to support this business as it is local, but that was the most unbelievably greedy thing I have ever experienced at ANY place that serves food/drink. I've been going here for a while and the last few weeks have been especially terrible. The line is long and takes forever to get your order and most of the time it's wrong, they charge for more than you ordered and give you the wrong stuff. The older lady that wears the cap is always rude and seems like she has no clue how to do her job, the service is lacking and the drinks and pastries are overpriced and definitely not worth the money. I like this place because of the convenience and because the coffee is better than Starbucks. But it drives me nuts that I have to sign the credit card slip each time. Most places don't require that anymore for small amounts. I feel like it's really a ploy to get tips. Especially since, when I paid with cash the other day, the guy asked me if I wanted my change. I'm not from the Dallas area and was looking for a good place to get some coffee on my way to my class. Yelp showed White Rock with great reviews so i thought "Why not?" and headed over there. it's a little ways off the highway but definitely worth the trip! i got the Chocolate Almond and a big cookie. the big cookie was a chocolate chip cookie with an oreo in it, it was good just a little sweet for my taste and the coffee was delicious but towards the end of the drink i got nothing but syrup so i would say stir your drink before! overall, i'd definitely go again! read more

First off, if you want to get tipped, work for your tips, don't impulse customers with ridiculous gimmicks about Etc V.S Etc. Second, the coffee needs major improvement, especially the espresso blend. Take note if you purchase iced drinks; White Rock Coffee tends to use tap water for their coffee. read more

Tried this cute place last night & couldn't make a decision regarding what to order with so many drinks sounding amazing... so my daughter & I both tried 2 different drinks (each). haha Yesterday we tried an Adam Bomb (omg!!), a White Rocker (also omg!!), a black tea & a tangerine ginger tea. All great!! We went back today to try more! I had a blueberry tea & it is by far the best herbal tea I have ever had!!! We are determined to try every drink on the menu. lol. Awesome place. It's a shame this place wasn't better. I've heard that it is one of the best coffeehouses in Dallas but the iced latte I got screamed otherwise. Nothing worse than expecting something very delicious based on reputation alone and then being sorely disappointed. It was not very good...the latte had no good flavors, the vanilla syrup I had in there tasted like perfume, and the one flavor most prominent was skunk. The balance between espresso and milk was also off...so it was just milky skunk. These guys rank below McDonalds and Starbucks coffee in my opinion. read more

I gave this place many, many chances. They regularly got my order wrong, which is really a drag since this is a drive thru place and I often didn't discover the error until I was miles down the road. I finally gave up when one day they gave me a burnt scone. Not just a little overdone, but charred, burnt. I turned my car around, showed them the scone and they didn't even apologize. Plus, my drink order was wrong, again! I wanted so much to like this alternative to Starbucks, but alas, no such luck. I am in no way a coffee connoisseur, but boy do I love this place! It is conventiently located and always has a line, which to me is a good thing and says a lot about what you're getting. I have tried numerous drinks and never been disappointed. The employees are joyful and the service is quick.
