Hands down my favorite must go to place in Bishop Arts. Laid back environment, the staff is always friendly, and the drinks are BOMB. Just tell them what you like and they'll work their magic. There's also live music right outside on the weekends! The food is great too! Their french fries are perfection. No place I'd rather be after a long day. So it's the perfect spot to pop in for a drink after strolling The Bishops Arts District on a beautful Sunday afternoon (hard life, I know). I can't say anything about the food, since I didn't try it. But the servers were friendly and the drinks arrived fast. The drinks did seem a bit sugar-y. But that's me, I can handle plain ole lime juice and vodka or whatever without all the additional add-ins. read more

It's been so exciting seeing the Bishop Arts area grow over the years and as a friend and I were waiting to be seated at Eno's we stopped in Whitehall Exchange this past Saturday night. The place was fairly crowded but we found two seats at the bar right where the bartenders do most of their work. If I could give the service a rating it would be 2 stars at best. I know they were busy but at least acknowledge within a few minutes of new guests sitting right in front of you. We weren't even acknowledged for at least 5 minutes. It took at least 10 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to order. My friend wanted a martini and they were out of martini glasses, but no apology or alternative was offered. From the time we walked in until we had a drink in front of us it was at least 20 minutes which is ridiculous. They were busy, but not "wait 20 minutes for a drink" busy. I'm giving it 3 stars based on the location, atmosphere and our drinks were tasty. I would go back again, but if I received the same lousy service that would be my last visit. read more

We stopped at the outside bar to have a few cocktails before dinner. I ordered a Tom Collins.... and it was terrible. It tasted like I just had a glass of soda water. The bartender ignored us and, on a unusually cool summer night, the outside fans were on max. This made it extremely loud and I was freezing cold (on a june night!) We've been here before for post dinner drinks and had a good time. Maybe it was the bartender or maybe we just hit on a off night. read more

A great simple bar with patio and live music on the weekends! The menu prices are reasonable and the food is pretty good!

A good place to chill and grab a beer and watch people walk up and down the street. They normally spin some 80s tunes so I like that. Their beer selection is ok. I'd come more often if they had draught but they don't; bottle only. I've heard their food is good. I've never tried it though. read more

The place seemed nice enough but it just takes one awful employee to ruin the experience. There's an elderly bartender who is perpetually in a bad mood and trying (unsuccessfully) to convey some old school tough guy persona. He acts as if he is the owner of the bar when is in fact only a manager. The drinks were good but the miserable service from that particular bridge troll made it simply not worth it. Maybe I'll try again once the owners inevitably fire him. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I'm still bothered by the service we received last night. It took a while to get the bartender's attention (the place was not busy at all). When I asked what gin cocktails he could make when he didn't have the ingredients to make a pretty common drink, he rudely told me that I could have "whatever the hell you want." After at least 10 minutes he handed me a room temperature drink that was not at all what I ordered and what he assured me he could make. I had to return it, which prompted another rude response. Judging by his behavior I believe he was very drunk. read more

The bartender (older guy with grey hair) was a JERK. I asked for a Vegas bomb and he said he didn't have the stuff for it. Then I asked for a Royal Phuck and he said "how about adult shots?" I am such a fan of this cute eclectic neighborhood and each time I come here to this side of Oak Cliff, I look forward to when I plan on coming back. I honestly just stumbled into this bar on a Friday night thinking I was only going to grab a quick drink and leave only ending up on ordering more like 3 drinks, wings, sliders, and flat bread pizza. Thumbs up for the full bodied strong drinks and the out of this world Korean Sliders. It was the perfect combo of meaty goodness sandwiched between two perfectly toasted ever so buttery buns with a creamy remoulade sauce and some house brine cucumbers. Definitely a delish happy hour as I am looking forward to coming back to try out more drinks and food the next time. read more

I came here with a few of my friends to have drinks on a Saturday, and there was only one bartender. We ordered our drinks (I had a vodka soda) and it didn't arrive until about 30 minutes later. I've been to places where one bartender could handle 20 of us, getting drinks immediately, and this place couldn't handle 4 people, along with maybe 3 others in the bar. For this reason, I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here. But, if you don't mind waiting a long time for a drink, they do have a decent patio. read more

Love this place!!! We had the best service and a super amazing brunch. Recommend the Pork Benedict and Lox Platter with mimosas. Super chill and great atmosphere. Let's talk about a great first experience!! The live blues playing is what pulled us inside. The comfortable chic decor made me sit and obvious knowledge of craft cocktails, good liquor and beer selection made me ready to stay a while. We had the cheese board which was simple and divine. The staff was great including the manager RJ who made it apparent from the start that he cared about his guest experience. It's open and has seating inside and out. Stopped here with some friends after having a nice lunch at bishop arts. Long story short: the drinks were okay, the service was okay and the ambience was dead. I don't usually make a big deal about a bar tender because I know they are busy, but this guy was slow, blunt and kind of indifferent that we were there. I will also ad that it was a Wednesday and it was dead, he kept on leaving the bar for 20 minutes at a time and by the time we wanted to leave had to wait for him to come, and still have to deal with his attitude. read more

Cool place and Erin is a great bartender! However, whomever the older guy is working behind the bar needs to go. Kind of appeared like he could have been the manager. He was a total dick to most of the customers and the other people working behind the bar. I had been there a few times before and had always enjoyed my experience until I met that guy. Ill definitely stop by Whitehall again but wont stay if he is working. I know I wasn't the only customer that felt that way either. The worst female bartender ever her drinks were undrinkable and her attitude was just as bad. And when I returned the 2cd mix drink I waited till she walked away from bar so I didn't cause a seen and gave other bartender back the drink I told him she was a horrible bartender and said just get me a beer instead can't mess that up and I be damned if he made me pay $4 for the beer after I already pay $8 for a drink they poured down the sink!
