We decided to stay here again this year because we had tickets for bull riding at the Reno events center. Then we could just walk the 2 blocks no issues with parking, etc Our room had a great view of the north side of Reno. The bed is comfy. We enjoyed the large tv and refrigerator, too. We could use another outlet on the other side of the bed. One side has the clock with plenty of ports and outlets. The other side, meh. The water pressure in the shower wasn't the good at all but the temperature was perfect, so I adjusted the shower to pulsing and it helped. The front desk had some technical difficulties while checking in but both clerks were polite. Sidney checked in with us via text and helped when our key wouldn't open the Club Lounge. Next time we want to take advantage of the fitness center. There is a restaurant on site and plenty to choose from in the neighborhood. A nice staycation.

Conveniently located in downtown Reno next to the famous arch sign. This hotel is non-smoking, pet friendly and no casino is perfect for visiting the Reno/Tahoe area. Hilton properties follow a high standard with clean rooms, pleasant staff and relaxing accommodations.

This is by far the cleanest and best in class hotel we've stayed at while traveling in the last several years. They went the extra mile for us with privacy, organization and comfort with inside and out. Perfect location in Reno and walking distance for all needs efficiently met. Hats off to the front desk crew and valet who were helpful and friendly. Keep up the stellar hospitality.

My second stay here. I immediately realized I just lost my diamond status and so the nice perks were gone. Had it for years and immediately no love from the hotel. No free parking (which is across the street, but only costs $7), nor executive lounge. Total bummer. I still made it work and used my F&B credit at the HH, which was great! I really like the 7x water filtration dispensers on every floor. It's nice to be able to refill your own bottle. Good thinking Tapestry.

Very nice hotel, for Reno, the restaurant at the lobby is great and it is nice, clean, reception personnel was great.

I had to come back and review the event staff and 3rd floor venue space. I held my daughter's 15th birthday here and it was perfect. I was able to customize a menu and everything turned out better than I expected. Allie and Carlie, very responsive and helpful and so was everyone else on the catering and service team. Big shout out to Christian, the head chef I believe. He made our antojitos dreams come true! The rooms also were very nice, love that this place is smoke free.

The stay was nice and very convenient. The hotel is located right downtown, which made it easy to get around and explore the area. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The on-site restaurant was a plus the food was tasty, portions were generous, and it made dining really convenient.

We made a reservation for their Turkish breakfast on Sunday and it seemed like inside and outside was ramping up in busyness. We were seated almost immediately upon walking into the establishment and got to see a bit from the bar and from outside. I've had Turkish food before, but I've never had the experience like this Turkish breakfast. We had Turkish coffee, traditionally strong, and an assortment of bread, cheeses, spreads, Turkish sausage, honey with clotted cream, eggs and pastries. Everything was delicious, savory to sweet. The service was very prompt, our waitress and other staff members checked in on us regularly, brought in new dishes and took the empties away every time they passed by. My family and I stayed at the GSR for 3 nights to attend a close family member's wedding -- the entire reason we made the trip to Reno. Here is what we encountered: The Room We arrived to a visibly dirty room that needed a thorough cleaning. There were stains on the furniture, walls, and bedding. No washcloths were available despite multiple requests to housekeeping -- they finally arrived on our last day, too late to be of any use. On our first night, a sticky substance on the bedding transferred to my clothing and permanently ruined both my pants and my belt. I have not been able to remove it despite multiple attempts. Pest & Safety Concerns We found a large unidentifiable bug in our room that we had to kill and dispose of ourselves. For the remaining nights of our stay we were uneasy and anxious about what else might be present while we slept. Marijuana Odors -- Every Single Day For all 3 days and nights, the hallways leading to our room reeked of strong marijuana. My 7-year-old son asked me about the smell every single time. No parent should have to have that conversation repeatedly because a hotel cannot enforce its own policies. Rude Guest Services When I called to request washcloths, instead of simply helping me, the agent chose to lecture me on the difference between a washcloth and a face cloth. It was condescending and completely unhelpful. The Pool -- And the Moment We Lost Forever At the pool, our server went on break and her replacement could not locate my payment card. The time we lost waiting caused us to leave late -- and we arrived at the wedding chapel just as guests were walking out. We missed our family member's wedding ceremony entirely. We had traveled to Reno for one reason, and because of this staff failure we did not get to witness it. That is something we will never be able to get back. Checkout & Aftermath When I raised all of these issues at the front desk before checking out, I was redirected, dismissed, and ultimately handed a business card with a vague promise that someone would follow up about my clothing. No apology. No acknowledgment of the bigger picture. No resolution. That was nearly 60 days ago. I have followed up in writing. I have heard nothing -- not a single word. I spent a significant amount of money at this property and was treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. I would not recommend the GSR to anyone traveling with family, and especially not for any trip where something important is at stake. GSR -- my complaint is still open. You know how to reach me.

I loved the hall and decor by the elevators but I didn't particularly like the sign in the the elevator that says please don't jump. That kinda makes me nerves as to why would they say that unless their elevators were unstable. The room was nice and clean with a fridge with some complementary water, microwave, and a huge bathroom. It was lacking a safe thought. We went down to the pool but had to bring out towels down as there were no towels by the pool that we saw. Checking out was a but harder as my husband had to call to check out & receipt wasn't emailed until 5 in the evening. It would've been nice to see right away to correct any discrepancies if any. Overall, was a good stay for what it was in Reno.

Hotel-Lodging Review (mostly):…read more To hear some folks speak on Circus Circus (either here in Reno or the sister property in Vegas), you'd think someone were describing the conditions inside a POW camp or prison. Haven't stayed or patronized the property here in decades. And the primary aim with this stay was getting back into the Caesar's Rewards program as quickly and as economically as possible. Sure, it's an older property with it's proverbial warts, but the stay held appeal for me. And it didn't hurt that I upgraded to a Spa King Suite, located in the Casino Tower. Check-in supervisor Asialene was a sweetheart who set the tone for my 1 night stay. Spa Suites have either an oversized soaking tub or one with jet nozzles (basically a mini whirlpool-jacuzzi). Really relaxing and is always a highlight of any stay, no matter the property. These rooms are huge! Around 680 sq. ft. Like an apartment almost. Easily accommodates multiple adults or a family with the non-king, 2 bed set up. Wet bar, Keurig machine, mini fridge, 42" big screen, a 2nd smaller screen in the master room, two separate toilets in each suite. The climate A/C system works great; no nonsense old-school horsepower blowing from 2 separate units in the suite. Unlike at some of the fancier resorts around town that skimp on the room HVAC output. In short and overall, there's quite a bit of value for what you get here at Circus, comparatively speaking. It serves well a niche for folks not wishing to break the bank for a simple night's stay while in Reno. Sure, other resorts are fancier no doubt, but, you're also shelling out more cash to get that in most cases. My normal go-to resort in Reno is usually Peppermill for example. Stay there several times a year. Which defies comparison to Circus on many levels. But, one thing I actually appreciated about Circus was being about to get where I wanted with a lot fewer steps than at most other fancier resorts. For the same time + distance it takes you to weave from 1 side of Peppermill to the other towers and parking areas for example, you could cover about the same distance between all 3 resorts under The Row (Circus Circus, Silver Legacy & El Dorado) it seems. Setbacks here at Circus like hot & stuffy hallways and lobbies, slow & inoperable escalators & elevators, a dystopian parking garage, closed rewards center & cashier cage (only at Circus, not at Silver Legacy & El Dorado) turned out to be minor inconveniences that were fairly easily overlooked & remedied during the stay. I mean, who really judges a resort by the parking garage for example? Was here for Monday overnight, so most of the shops and some restaurants within the Circus side were closed, owing to the idea that Monday's are typically one of the slowest days of the week. They've also swung the axe on table games here at Circus, a bummer from the heyday where lively floor crowds were the norm. Bartender blamed this on Covid when I inquired. But again, a short walk to either Silver Legacy or El Dorado casinos via the indoor connected walkways solves that riddle. I wasn't on the property long enough to relive the still-active midway-arcade, free circus acts (if they even still have those?), restaurants, etc, so can't comment there. But, it would be a sad day if this property ever closes. And I definitely wouldn't hesitate lodging here again at any of the other properties at The Row.

A little awkward for non-couples staying at the suite; only because the beautiful bath tub is displayed next to the window with no cover from the room, and sauna/shower is separated by glass; and completely visible to anyone in the room. To get privacy, need to close the entire large room to shower or bathe. Otherwise; it's a beautiful place; a bit "outdated" but still luxurious. Amenities include, bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, shower cap, facial soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, tissue, toilet paper (haha; a must!), ice maker, water, fridge, bottle opener, a variety of drinks and snacks in the fridge for a $$$ price, coffee maker with coffee pods. The curtains in the bedroom/ bathtub area has a switch that closes the curtains; it's a nice luxurious touch; too bad the switch is across the room...the bathtub fills quickly and they have a "shower gel" there that can be turned into bubbles as you fill the bath. The temperature of the room was comfortable. Clean and well maintained, apart from some bits of less than luxurious touch up paint jobs here and there. The view is lovely in the daytime and night. I can see the snowy Nevada mountains from the bath in the day. And it's pretty neon lights and watching the cars dance through the lot looking for parking at night. The entire hotel is connected to restaurants and the casino. The even center is just about a two block walk away. I had a lovely time here. Just don't like the casinos and smoking. But it didn't affect my stay in the suite. I can't understand why this hotel doesn't have any reviews or has terrible reviews. My guess would be, the majority of the guests here are here to patron the casinos, and would not pay attention to the stay of this hotel.
