Had a pleasant time at Wi Spa! There's valet parking for $4 (cash only) so it was a stress-free experience, unless you want to save a bit $ and find street metered parking. Went on a Saturday evening and it was a bit busy but definitely not crowded. There still lots of space in the co-ed areas, including the dry saunas. They have a kitchen in the co-ed area that serves full menu until 11:30 PM, then after that its a limited menu. Its slightly overpriced...$23 for beef tofu soup that hardly had any beef. The taste was very meh and it made me wish I had spent it at BCD instead. Each of the men and women spaces have their own wet area that includes 3 different pools and steam&dry sauna. You have to be completely undressed. I thought the space was kept very clean throughout the night!

A Novelty Spa Experience for Those Interested in Korean Culture Wi Spa is a great way to experience the jimjilbangs of South Korea. Admission is $40 on top of a fee for valet parking, which is the only choice for Wi Spa's parking lot. Since this spa is open 24 hours, this admission gives you the whole day to experience the spa's many rooms. The front desk service is no-frills and straightforward. I only had three hours to go through the rooms, but the spa is actually quite small. Most of the main spa rooms (co-ed) are on the same floor. There's a cold room and then ~3 hot rooms with various themes. In addition, these rooms were incredibly cozy, only allowing a few guests at a time. In the gendered areas, there's showers, jacuzzis, saunas, and lockers. There's a sleeping room, a restaurant, and a common area to lay out on the co-ed floor. The rooftop area is on the top floor. Wi Spa offers massages, body scrubs, and various spa services. However, the prices are on the higher side. There are also massage chairs, but these cost extra money and aren't included with admission. I did the body scrub, which you have to book in advance at the register, and it is quite painful but thorough. They do ask about washing your hair and scrubbing your face, but I opted out. You are given an envelope to tip for services (bring cash!). It was nice that they give you the scrubbing cloth at the end! Overall, the spa is a little cramped and in need of an update considering rising admission prices. It's a charming experience and similar to what I've seen at jimjilbangs in Korea. However, it's not necessarily a high-end experience, and the prices of the additional services are quite high.

My gf and I came here on a late Friday night around 9:30pm - 2am. There were still plenty of people there and by the end of the night people were trying to rest and spend the night there. I understand it's LA so space is limited but the facility isn't that big and each hot room feels very crowded. A few of the rooms were kind of stinky from the amount of bodies in there. The ice room wasn't very cool and had a funny smell to it. The restaurant food was good, we really enjoyed the seaweed clam soup, bingsu, shikye and roasted eggs. The jacuzzi/sauna/women's locker room were clean. For the price it's still very reasonable especially it is 24 hours and would be a very cheap alternative to getting a hotel room if you're able to sleep with lots of people around you.

We visited Wi Spa on a Thursday night and it was busy. The restaurant was full of people but five of us only waited 10 minutes. All the soups came out fast, the banchans were delicious and tasted homemade. I really like Wi Spa the restaurant as well as the spa. The showers, steam rooms and hot tubs are all clean. We spent the night and paid only $40 because we checked out at 4 AM. If you stay past 4 AM it's an additional $30. There's options to sleep In co ed rooms or the women's only room. I slept on the room in July because the weather was perfect.

$40 for a day pass now. Great place to relax and unwind. There are 3 floors: male, female, coed, coed rooftop. Everyone gets a uniform shirt and pants - they give you shirts when you Check in and shorts are in the locker rooms runs small id size up. They also have robes sometimes but they go quick. Generally clean considering how many people go there each day. Women's bath house people are generally fully nude but it's very welcoming and no one is weird about it. Cold plunge, hot tub, warm tub, dry sauna, steam room AND a cold intense shower on each coed floor. I could spend 5+ hours here. There's also a beauty shop on the women's floor that you can buy face masks and other beauty supplies. Parking is valet only $4 cash.

Had a scrub service and it was thoroughly performed! Sauna rooms are pretty standard and I feel they are on the smaller side except the Jade room. Food was good but pricy. Shaved rice is a must try after spa.

Such a relaxing experience from start to finish. The staff is friendly, the spa is well maintained, and I'll definitely be back.

I really enjoyed the deep tissue shiatsu massage. The masseuse was very skilled, and it was a first to have someone walk on my back. The experience was very therapeutic. DD got a deep pore facial, and enjoyed that a lot. The salt sauna, clay sauna, and ice room were our other favorites. I also enjoyed the bibimpap at the restaurant. The clay pot made the rice crispy. The dish definitely hit the spot. DD got the spicy tuna bowl, and we were impressed by the generous portion. All the entrees in the restaurant run about $20. Overall we had a great time at Wi Spa and look forward to returning.

Concerns: Wed. July 8th, I decided to celebrate my birthday at Wi-Spa. At check I submitted my Driver's License the Latina Clerk scanned my license and #1, made no mention of my birthday. I shared with her I had a body scrub appointment and she swiped my card and gave me the check in items. Midway during my body scrub, I could hear #2 teenagers talking loud and disrupting the peace and tranquillity of the women's only level. Management and owners should really enforce this rule. As a teacher of 32 years, I want to escape noise when I am at a spa. The management really needs to offer hours or window of times for adults only. My services for the body scrub were nice, however #3 request for a tip was a bit pushy. And, my reason for submitting this review was my last two interactions of the evening. It cost me $33.00 for a green tea, veggie egg rolls and a dark chocolate raspberry ice cream bar at the restaurant. Nice, hot and fresh food. However, the eldest female Asian lady's demeanor was quite stark and cold to work in customer service. I asked for a #4 to-go box and she said it cost a $1.00. I said of course it would. During check out I went over my bill $185.00 plus $33. I stated to the same Latina who checked me in , so #5 they are charging me a $1.00 for the to-go-box. She said, "Yes." I said, "Does WiSpa offer anything for birthdays because today is my actual birthday. I gave you my driver's license when I checked in you did not say anything. She said, #6 "No, We just scan it." I proceeded to pay my bill and she said, "Thank you." I said, " Happy Birthday to me." I took time to compose this review because I want to patronize Asian own businesses l, however most times I am treated shrewdly and often overcharged for basic services. It is my wish my review is take to heart and is honored accordingly, At least, day of birthdays should be acknowledged. Concerned Customer, Shannon Davis

Had an average experience at the Wi Spa, I would recommend it to first time visitors as the price point and amenities are plentiful. The high volume of visitors is expected for this popular spa in LA, and it was my first time. I liked the sauna rooms, but found it pretty repetitive and the "ice" room didn't feel as comfortable and relaxing for me. I enjoyed the food court and liked the Cold Noodles from there! It was refreshing to eat after the hot sauna rooms. Everything was stocked and clean. I would book another service next time to get a different experience but I would recommend this spa if you're looking to lounge somewhere especially for late nights! Our belongings were kept safe and they have a good security system. We bought face masks at a reasonable price at the gift shop to use too!

Would come again. I had heard of Wi Spa from the Conan O'Brien video (where he went with Steven Yuen) but had forgotten about it. Boyfriend and I were going on a road trip from just south of Seattle to San Diego and needed a place to stay in the middle of the night. We got to LA around 10pm and popped into the Wi Spa because they are open 24/7! Unfortunately, massage services end at 10pm (which I didn't realize despite reading a bunch of stuff on their website/reviews). Would've been well worth the stop if we had been able to get a massage after our long drive. There are signs stating SERVICES OVER $160 WAIVES ENTRANCE FEE. We stayed until 4am (that's the cut off if you don't want to pay $30 for the next day). They reset at 11am. Food was expensive. Late night ramyun was $14 (and you know it's just instant ramyun). The health drinks were bomb though ($6 for the skin cleaner - highly recommend!). 1st floor is women's. 2nd floor is men's. 3rd floor is communal. Unfortunately, 3rd floor was a little loud with certain groups not being conscious of their volume. At 1am-ish there was a security person who went into each sauna and made sure people didn't have their shirts lifted up (modesty!) and stayed quiet. Unfortunately, one group didn't get the memo and still laughed loudly in the cold room (doors are NOT soundproof!). Lots of snorers too. One spot right outside the food area had a hole in the ceiling and water dripped onto my leg. My favorite thing about this place was my skin felt so clear afterwards! And the hair dryer was the best hair dryer I've ever tried!

I was so surprised to find such an authentic Korean jjimjilbang right here in Los Angeles -- and it's clearly very popular! I came on a weekend and all five floors were basically full. Everyone is really into wellness these days! This place has everything: hot tubs, showers, dry saunas, steam rooms, and multiple heated rooms with different temperatures. There are also large relaxation areas where you can just rest, nap, or hang out. It's perfect for families, couples, or a chill day with friends. Very kid-friendly, too -- they even have a children's play area. Another huge plus: they're open 24 hours, and valet parking is only $4. I'm so happy I found this spot. I'll definitely be coming back often to relax and unwind!

Went on a weekday night and honestly loved how relaxing it was. The spa is huge and open 24/7, so there's no pressure to rush. I mainly stayed in the different sauna rooms upstairs and each one had a different vibe and temperature. The jade and salt rooms were probably my favorites. Everything felt pretty clean and organized, and there were lots of places to sit and rest between sauna sessions. Definitely a good spot if you just want to unplug for a few hours in Koreatown. Would come back again late at night when it's quieter.

Ask the Community - Wi Spa

    Do they honor Military discount?

Hi, sorry it's not advertised. Please read my review. I provide helpful tips I learned after my first visit

Do they offer couple body scrub/ massage?

Not in the common areas - which are separated by men's and women's... might wanna call them to see if they have a couples' private room.

The entry rate is $40, but I see comments about surcharges or $30 if someone don't leave by 4am. Also if someone enters at 6am and if they don't leave by 11am there is a $20 surcharge?…

I am not be surcharged, but I do left before 4am.

Hi , If I go late night after 10 pm, when should I leave before you charge extra over night fee?

Check out before 4AM to avoid the extra $30 overnight fee.

    Do they provide indoor slippers?

    Yes, we do.

    Price for entry?

We open 24 hours a day. No exception. We charge $40 admission fee.

I'm coming in on a train that arrives at 5:30 am and can't check into my hotel until 3:00 pm. My friend recommended Wi Spa for the time in between. Will they check my suitcase or can I only bring items that fit into a locker?

That you need to call them directly because the lockers are high school lockers. Good Luck

What is the price is you come at 6am and how long can I stay?

$30 for entry and if you stay past 11am it will be an additional $20 pretty sure

Is it normal to bring a child? For instance father and son?

Yes, children are welcome. They have a kids' area in the jimjilbang (arcade games, tv, toys, and like a jungle gym thing) and I bet he won't be the only kid there. It's normal.

What sizes of the clothes do they provide or can you bring your own?

They provide cloths to wear and have all types of sizes. I highly recommend bringing your own sandals.

Is there transgender massage therapist working here?

    I'm not sure about that

How is their child care services? Are they 24/7 too?

There are no child care services to speak of. They have a play room but there is no one there employed to care for children.

    Is walk-in ok?

    Yes

If they are open 24/7, when do they clean the pools and saunas?

Hey Steve, they close down the pools in the women's area from 2am - 3:30am for cleaning. I'm not sure if it is the same time for the men's area, but there are cleaning staff on site and they work around the clock. You can always call them and ask…

What can i bring in? eg. bag, laptop, headphones...

Yes you can bring laptop, a bag with your things.. change of clothes, headphones, and your refillable water bottle.. hair product and tools you need,

Can i leave and come back within the same day of the day pass?

No re-entry whatsoever. They might let you go to your car to grab something if you forgot, but each entry is a new charge.

    Do you have blow dryers?

    Yes.

What time does the food court closes?

Can you bring in your own water container in?

yes. and you totally should. hydration is super important when you're sweating.

Do you have to be naked?

If you want to enjoy the full facilities, some parts of it require you to be naked, since you'll need to shower first. That being said, if you do not want to be, you can skip half of the facility, change into the gym shorts they give you, and chill…

I specifically paid for a Swedish massage because I prefer a gentler massage with more oil and less deep pressure. Before the massage started, the therapist suggested I switch to a combination massage because she said I was very tense. I initially declined, but trusted her recommendation and agreed. One of the reasons I normally avoid combination massages is because I don't like therapists standing on my back. During the massage, she put her full weight on my lower back. It was so painful that I immediately told her it hurt and asked her to be gentler. While the rest of the massage was okay, I was already in pain and couldn't relax. I came in to unwind--not because I had any back pain or injury. On my way home, my lower back was throbbing. The next morning, I could barely get out of bed. I still went to work, but the pain was severe. It's now been about two weeks, and my lower back is still hurting. I've had many massages over the years and have never experienced anything like this. I was also concerned about the cleanliness. They no longer use the disposable face cradle covers they used to provide, and the I had my face on had an unpleasant odor. I can't say whether the linens were changed, but based on what I experienced, I left feeling uncomfortable about the cleanliness. Overall, this was not a relaxing experience. Instead, I left with an injury that I'm still dealing with. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this place based on my experience.

The very friendly girl at the Moxy front desk recommended Silver Lake Spa and casually dropped the words "mid-week special." $55 for one hour. Sign. Me. Up. No questions asked. Just one boundary: if I get poked, I'm out. The place is modest and unassuming. JJ was my therapist. Between my moaning, grunting, and aggressively pointing at my neck and shoulders (note to self: don't lift weights the day before a six-hour flight), we agreed on a relaxing Thai/Swedish combo. Friends... JJ knew exactly what she was doing. She found knots in my skull. My actual skull. Then proceeded to perform some kind of kung-fu Thai magic where I felt what used to be my brain turn back into mush--in the best way. She moved to my shoulders and back, mixing deep Thai stretches with light kneading, locating muscle kinks like five-carat diamonds and polishing them until they no longer existed. At one point I'm fairly certain I was purring. HR would not approve. Then came the oil and relaxation portion. Pure bliss. She was gentle, focused, and so intentional that I may or may not have teared up slightly. One hour was simply not enough. I could've moved in. If you live in LA--go see JJ. If you're visiting--go see JJ. It was a glorious hour, and I'm still wiping the drool off my face. This girl is going straight to bed. But I will find JJ again. Just don't tell HR.

I agree with others when this place is super aggressive about the tipping. The minimum that this…read moreplace requires is $20 and for a $73 massage, asking for a $20 tip is. 27%. So when I gave her $15 she was extremely cold and left. I would love to go back cause I think the massage was great but when you're forced, and demanded at least a $20- I can no longer support a business like that. I've been three times but won't be going again for my fourth.

The walking on the back may have been the best I've experienced. Everything felt very intentional to the needs of my body. The only thing that was off putting. You pay before your service and at the end you tip the person on Venmo/cash. The suggested tips are a bit high. The lowest recommendation was more than 20%. Although they don't say anything to you, at the end of the massage, the masseuse is waiting there with your water/tea. If for some reason you didn't want to tip, I could see it being a very awkward exit. Or if you simply can't afford the tip amounts they're recommending, it could be an awkward exit. The bed was clean and if you're a little chilly ask them to turn on the warmer. I was excited to learn this was an option. Overall great spot. I plan to go on the regular.

I don't mind that the lady wanted payment up front. But there isn't the usual consultation up front and communication is a bit harder. The back/shoulder massage is the highlight. The therapist got some tension out of my shoulders. Everything else is a sideshow . The leg massage is Not worth mentioning. The head massage also not why you come here.

It seems to have downsized --probably an effect of the pandemic, but also the overall feel of the business has changed drastically. There is no receptionist to greet you when you come in. They ask for payment up front. An electronic voice greeting goes off TWICE every time the door is opened, which you can hear from the massage room EVERY TIME. The same four minutes of music playing on repeat was honestly a little distracting/annoying. Weird fluorescent lighting in the massage room doesn't help. Overall, I really wanted to overlook all this stuff and just enjoy the massage, but it was not a relaxing experience. My masseuse seemed nice but spent most of the time on my back when I specifically asked her to focus on my legs. I realize how whiny and privileged this sounds, but it was so disappointing and felt like a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and just go to Yolo instead.
