It's located on the second floor of the beautiful Cosmopolitan hotel. They're open daily 8am-2pm Definitely recommend making online reservations otherwise they accept walk-ins but prepared for a long wait! I'm lucky I made an online reservation a few weeks in advance so I didn't have to wait! I went to the buffet on Monday at 11am and was surprised it was pretty packed! Pricing was not too bad since it was just $50/person. Service was friendly and attentive. There is 90 min time limit! Inside was spacious with plenty of seating. Don't expect as many selections as Bacchanal but that's expected since Bacchanal charges twice as much. There weren't that many selections since it's basically just a brunch buffet. There was a good variety of breakfast dishes, such as Egg Benedicts, French toast, waffles, etc. The egg station was my favorite since it's made fresh and there's the option to choose how you want your eggs and what to put inside. I went for the omelette and it was delicious! The crab legs were also very good and I liked how there was someone serving the crab legs so everybody has a fair chance to get a good amount! The crab legs were very juicy and fresh! The meat selections were pretty limited and the meat was quite dry and didn't taste that great. The chicken and waffles was disappointing since the fried chicken wasn't crispy and tasted like it was out for quite some time. The waffles also didn't taste fresh and didn't taste good. The dessert selection was decent. Definitely enjoyed the desserts the most out of everything at the buffet! My favorite was the gelato station! The lychee sorbet was very tarty and not too sweet. The creme brulee was creamy and tasted so delicious! The tiramisu had hints of espresso and the cake was so fluffy and fresh! Overall, I thought the buffet was ok but I wasn't too impressed with the quality or the selections unfortunately so I most likely won't return or recommend.
Wicked Spoon remains one of my top three Las Vegas buffets. So much so that my friend and I once flew in for a single day just to eat here! Today's visit proved exactly why they are so consistent. They prioritize intentional quality over mindless quantity. I love their unique approach of serving dishes in individual mini baskets and plates. It completely elevates the experience, making it feel like a curated tasting menu rather than a standard buffet. The mini bone marrows are an absolute standout, and one of the reasons I am a repeat customer. Because of the perfectly portioned sizes, they never taste overly greasy. I admittedly ate quite a few! I typically do not care for buffet desserts, but I enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries (stems attached), mini creme brûlée & fruity pebbles rice crispy treats coated w vanilla (reminded me of the old Milk macarons from LA). I was lucky enough to be seated in Sahli's section today. She was an absolute rockstar! She took incredible care of everyone in her section with genuine attentiveness and deserves serious recognition from management for her hard work. They keep the tables clean, and you don't feel crammed inside. The layout is simple and you won't feel lost. I waited a little over an hour. However, since it was a holiday weekend, this was entirely expected and didn't take away from the experience at all. I will absolutely be back, just as I always am!
This was our 2nd time eating at Wicked Spoon for 8:30 am brunch on a Tuesday. The first time, I was blown away. This time, it seemed okay but not worth the $110 (excluding the tip). Bring cash if you don't add a gratuity on when you pay before you enter. I avoided the traditional egg and breakfast food and went for the dumplings (pork, shrimp), Chinese BBQ pork buns, Singapore noodles, Wicked Fried Chicken, shrimp tempura, broccoli slaw, Wicked Mac and cheese (spicy - yuck - the only thing I didn't finish), Caesar salad. For dessert, I managed a purple Uzi cone, pistachio and chocolate cake, and tiramisu cake. There was also ice cream and gelato. Julia, our server, was very nice and friendly and got us our coffee and cleared our plates.
What a major disappointment! We have been meaning to try Wicked Spoon for quite some time, and unfortunately today was the day. The line, is long, unless you're gold or higher status so luckily we got seated within five minutes. The buffet itself is a 90 minute buffet, which felt off putting. I felt rushed and worried I'd run out of time, even though no one really seems to monitor too much how long you're sitting there. The front staff and servers were kind. That was nice. The food was horrible. Terrible plating, and absolutely overly salted, inedible food! The Asian corner, terrible. The seafood corner, dry, and minimal. The steak station was the only, ok side. The plating is absolutely illogical, and makes for an odd experience. Too small, can't cut your food, or tasteless. This buffet is OVER HYPED, and for no good reason! Yes it's in Cosmopolitan but it compares nowhere close to Wynn or even Bellagio buffet. Worth a try, see for yourself.. but don't say I didn't warn you when you're a hundred bucks down and wondering what just happened to your wallet and yourself in a "90 minute" time span! It was pretty good. If your looking for value, I think this hits the mark. I mean with the crab legs and bone marrow alone, you can do some damage. We liked the variety of desserts. I think it's worth trying atleast once. Pros: * Clean restaurant * Good food; recommend crab legs, smoked salmon, Pistachio Gelato, and lemon tart * Kind servers Cons: * Some of the food was bland or soggy (when it should have been crispy) I think it's a game of chance when it comes to buffets and certain foods. Extra: *90 minute time limit but they didn't make a big deal when we went over by a bit * The line gets long and it takes some time to move. We arrived around 10:30 on a Tuesday and had about a 40 minute wait * You can make a reservation and Gold mgm player cards and above get priority access.
Great Deal, Nightmare Logistics: Is the BOGO Worth a 4-Hour Wait? The $54.99 Locals BOGO Brunch is a generous promo, and clearly, the community took notice. However, while the deal itself is fantastic, the experience of actually getting to a table was a different story. The Wait Experience was Exhausting and Uncertain: We arrived at 10 AM and waited for four hours. The line stretched all the way back to the dog statues with no guarantee of making the 2 PM cutoff. Lack of Communication: It was frustrating that the staff wouldn't officially cut off the line or provide updates on who would actually be seated. This made for a particularly tough experience for families with small children and seniors using walking assistants. Better Systems Needed: Having run this promo before, the restaurant really should have a more organized and virtual waiting system. Staff: To their credit, the staff was helpful and responsive. They handled a constant barrage of questions with professionalism, which was much appreciated given the chaos. The Meal: The food was good and definitely worth the BOGO price, but it is not worth a 4-hour wait on your feet. Final Verdict: Unless you are willing to pay the $25 skip-the-line pass, you might be better off spending your money elsewhere. It's a great deal on paper, but the physical toll of the wait is a high price to pay.
One of the last remaining buffet experiences left in Las Vegas but it's a great one. Still offering well executed individually portioned small dishes, wicked spoon has something for everyone. Unique pastas, excellent Caesar salads, fresh oysters mussels and shrimp. A good selection of breads, dips and cheeses. Waffles and chicken, fish and chips, and a range of roasted meats including lamb, pork, beef, and chicken all very well prepared and juicy. There is of course snow crab.legs that are not over cooked and still maintaining there flavor. The desserts here are excellent with a huge assortment of in house hand crafted desserts including cookies cakes creame brulee, meringue, and a great selection of gelato and sorbets. Not one to give out five stars easily but the prentation and quality of dishes was very good consistent and some interesting dishes.
Second time having Wicked Spoon and I have to say I am unfortunately not at all impressed. To be blunt I do think there are other buffets around the strip that are more worth the money. The best things I've found here are the roast section, the bone marrow, and the desserts. Everything else was frankly underwhelming for me most especially the Asian section. The items there are quite obviously low cost from the roll options to the very small dimsum section. Desserts were wonderful! great options especially the ice cream / gelato. Huge array of unique choices! The cheesecakes as well were up there in my opinion, but overall the main courses are very forgettable. Shoutout to Ver for his exceptional service! We had a party of 14 and that man works hard.
We made a reservation and prepaid the full price and tip beforehand. We arrived on time and had to wait about 10 minutes before we got seated. They said there was 7 food stations so I tried a bit of everything. My favorite thing at buffets is seafood so I tried the tuna, salmon, shrimp, and snow crab legs. My favorite was definitely the snow crabs, but they limit time to 90 minutes and it takes me a long time to crack them open so I wasn't able to eat as many as I wanted to. For desserts, I loved the chocolate covered strawberries and crème brûlée. There were so many options I think you really cannot go wrong. My friend is vegetarian and their options were definitely limited, the station with the least meat was Italian food and the breads so beware. Also we prepaid a tip online and when we got a receipt in person they said tip was not included in the receipt and asked us to tip more which I was confused about. It clearly said we tipped then said tip not included. If this is an automatic thing it should be removed since it implies our tip was not given to the servers.
Came here for the brunch buffet during our stay to try one out given how famous they are. The gentleman helping our table was overall friendly though I got a funny look when I ordered my brunch booze which I didn't appreciate. The food was what you'd expect from a buffet. Some decent dishes as well as other ones I thought weren't the best. I'd say the dessert section all in all was pretty good. Crab legs were nice too. It's generally a clean spot not too far from the casinos. If you're looking to try a buffet while you're in Vegas, this would be worth a visit.
Some dishes were average. Some were not good. Some too salty some bland. I liked being able to take a bite of everything. Crab legs were super salty. Quail tasted spoiled. A lot of dishes look like they had been sitting for a long time. My table was near a spot where the servers would stop to get trays. They would linger there for a while. It was annoying having to hear their convos and hear them flirt with each other. Definitely made my experience less enjoyable. I don't think it's worth the money but when in Vegas, trying a buffet is part of the experience. Decor and overall set up is very nice. read more

Stopped by Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan for brunch and overall had a great experience. The buffet setup is very modern and upscale with a ton of variety, everything from Asian dishes, carved meats, seafood, and breakfast favorites to a really impressive dessert section. Presentation was clean and elegant, and I liked that most dishes came in small portions so you can try a little bit of everything. The staff was friendly and attentive, and tables were cleared quickly. The food quality was good, some dishes stood out more than others, but everything was fresh and flavorful. It can get pretty busy during peak times, so expect a short wait if you come later in the morning. Price is on the higher side, but considering the quality and the atmosphere, it's worth it for a nice Vegas brunch experience. Overall, solid 4 stars, I'd definitely come back to try more next time I'm in town. read more

Went for breakfast and got the gold MGM member BOGO so it was totally worth it. I was surprised breakfast spread was like a dinner; carving station, crabs, and all. Our waiter was attentive and refilled drinks and removed old plates quickly. The Asian buffet section was good; they had make your own ramen and congee. All the food and desserts were good, was definitely worth the BOGO. read more

First and foremost: I very Highly recommend getting here at 8-9 to get right in. This is the best time frame for experience, service, freshness, etc. We made reservations at 8am for 2 and we were literally the first ones in the door. We had been wanting to try this place and they just happened to have the BOGO local discount extended through this weekend so we jumped on it. We were greeted warmly and taken straight to our table where the hostess told us to go ahead and help ourselves the server will come with drinks when we got back. It's really beautiful inside and looks huge! I love the massive chandeliers, they're very unique and colorful. Let me just say... There are soooo many options!! The food was fresh, all of it looked amazing! Of course I went straight for the crab legs first on bc they were still steaming!! The chicken and waffles were also delicious and then of course dessert was fantastic!! They have a gelato station, molten lava cake, macaroons, anything you can think of... it's there. So top things to note: come early, make reservations if not but you have to pay upfront when booking reservations, come with a massive appetite, keep an eye out for the local discount promotions. Food 10:10! For a buffet, the good was better than expected and high end restaurant presentations!! Free parking for locals up to 3 hours in the cosmo garage as well (as long as there is not an event) Love it!! Would definitely come back with friends!! read more

My favorite buffet in Vegas is wicked spoon. The selection, type of foods and ambiance is amazing. Only place in Vegas you can pile crab legs onto a plate yourself instead of having them dolled out to you 2-3 at a time. Lines are long. Customer service is poor with the waitresses. We had to ask 3 times for straws. Never did get them. Refill are far and between. Best thing here is the desert bar. Dozens of amazing items with a huge variety. read more

A pretty good brunch buffet. We reserved online ahead of time, which they have a separate line for. We came quite early, at 9am, so its wasn't busy at all but lines can start to form shortly after. It might be a good idea to reserve online to help reduce wait times. Unfortunately, no parking validation for the hotel lot, so it is $20 on the weekends. You could definitely get your money's worth for $54 per person, they have a ton of variety! They have classic american breakfast fare - eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, chicken and waffles, eggs benedict. They also have food from other cultures as well - carnitas tacos, gyro pita, guac and chips, and dimsum/chinese. They also have hand cut honey baked ham and tri-tip, and a full charcuterie spread. They even have crab legs and bone marrow (recommend spreading marrow on some toast). And so much more that I can't even describe! I love brunch and I appreciate their large number of creative dishes, but we weren't super blown away with the buffet overall. But worth a try if you're looking for a buffet on the strip! read more

Came here on a Saturday at 10 AM, just before the brunch rush, and really enjoyed it! Personally, I liked it better than the Wynn brunch buffet. The selection was extensive, with plenty of savory options, which I prefer. The dessert section was impressive and delicious, and they were constantly bringing out new items, so I kept going back to check. It is definitely on the pricey side, but that's expected for buffets on the Strip. One thing to note--some parents don't watch their kids, and even some adults forget how to behave at a buffet. But overall, the service was quick, the atmosphere was great, and the space was well-lit and not too cramped. A solid brunch spot! read more

Our first time at Wicked Spoon. Our server came over immediately while being seated and took our drinks requests with a big smile. Let me start by saying you get what you pay for. And I mean this in a positive way. For $50 per person brunch / lunch. You get a fantastic selection of foods. Carving station with perfectly cooked medium rare tri tip roast, ham, pork belly oh so good and tender. Steamed Snow Crab sections were very popular. That was the main event of their seafood buffet if you ask me. Assorted hot foods and breakfast items, Mexican and Asian dishes as well. The bone marrow!!!! Excellent. Don't forget the salad station and the desserts You can spend double at the "other" buffet. But for half the price you can't beat Wicked Spoon. Unfortunately they only open for brunch / lunch and not dinner. The restaurant is appointed in nicely in warm brown and orange tones. Leather upholstered seating and polished tables. One of my most memorable buffet experiences. Our family of four enjoyed a variety of selection such as crab legs, leg of lamb, tri-tip sirloin, ceviche, sushi, etc. The food was efficiently replenished and service was attentive. My favorite was absolutely the dessert buffet and gelato bar. I didn't count but I think there were over 20 items to choose from. I have always had major sweet tooth so this was definitely my calling and I tried almost everything. read more

We made a reservation for a late morning brunch, the line was not long for reservations and moderately long for walk ins. Once seated we reviewed the offerings and found it quite diverse. My favorites were the beef ribs, beef tritip, crab legs, and fried chicken. Their desserts were small, which made it easier to sample a few. All in all I thought it a bargain price wise and rate it in the top three buffets in Vegas. read more

I was here with my friend on vacation in Las Vegas. The Wicked Spoon is awesome! I loved the upscale trendy ambiance since it is also inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel. A friend and I went to the buffet at around 8am as that was the only time we could get a reservation. Honestly, it was really pleasant because it wasn't super crowded or loud. However, there were definitely foods such as the seafood that didn't feel at the right temp to be eating. The best things that we tried were the beef carpaccio, which was a unique well balanced bite. The beef bone marrow that was luscious and craveable. The wicked juice is also definitely not something to miss. But the most astonishing thing at the buffet was their gluten free cookies, which were by far one of the best cookies gluten or not that I've ever had. Service was super friendly in providing beverages and clearing tables. I believed I'd return at a discount or when someone visits but not necessarily a separate trip as a local. read more
Wow. What happened to the Wicked Spoon? This was my favorite buffet a decade ago, but now it has become overpriced and quality has drastically declined. Brunch was about $62/person. As MGM rewards members, they offer 2 for 1 buffet but you'd have to activate prior to dining otherwise they won't give you the discount. I'll give it to them for having a large variety of brunch options. They excel in presentation of their specialties like their egg bennies or chicken and waffles. As for their other cuisines, like Asian food, it is obvious they put little effort in it. The fried rice and chow mein were so dry. Like it was left out for hours or overcooked, I cannot tell. As for their seafood, the standout were the crab legs. They did a decent job restocking the legs every time they're low. Only downside is they're overly salty so eat as much as you can to get your money's worth. The carving station is decent. The meat looks beautifully presented but it tastes okay. The texture is extra chewy. I ate two pieces of the tri tip and each time it was equally chewy. Dessert is good! I love the small bites and gelato was delicious. Definitely one of the main highlights here. Overall experience was subpar. The food was not as good as it once was. It felt more quantity over quality for their buffet line. The food is various & delectable . We Went for my wife's Birthday & she couldn't have been happier! The crab was main reason she wanted to go but we found out that literally ALL THE FOOD there was TOP TIER & worth mentioning. Shrimp & Grits was my favorite was The Crab & Eggs Benedict. If you know me, you know that buffets are not my thing. Even before COVID I had decided it was not worth the germ risk and the quality was just not there. Well this is the first buffet I have went to in o we a decade. This was absolutely out of this world!! I will be back yes indeed. I don't need to ever go to any other buffet because the wicked spoon has spoiled me for life!! Delicious fresh food. So much to choose from. Excellent service. Did I say how good this food was and I got to have my omelet made to order. Then ended with gelato. Wonderful comfortable setting with good lighting and music in the back ground. If you think I'm exaggerating just take a look at the pics. This has made my top restaurants list for Vegas !! One more tip. The Wicked Spoon uses fresh, good-quality ingredients for its food. I left full. Adult Admission costs $47. Customers have 90 minutes to eat. The food had hit-or-miss options. The food had distinct flavors and textures, but enter the Wicked Spoon with tempered expectations. I arrived on Wednesday (around 7:30AM - before opening time). The Wicked Spoon's line only became crowded around 7:55AM. (Quick Tip: Gold, Platinum, and NOIR MGM Rewards card owners gain access to a short, express entrance.) [Food] Since I arrived early, the crab legs were not available yet. Rather, they had a popular omelet station and other breakfast food options. [The Bad] The Scrambled Eggs were extremely salty; I adored its moist, fresh texture, but its salt was overpowering. The Mashed Potatoes uses real potatoes but its texture is coarse and rough; it's a grainy, mediocre mashed potatoes. The Brown Gravy is very salty with a sludgy thickness. The Carpaccio is very generic; if you've tasted salty salami meat, you've tasted it. [The Good] The Eggs Benedict is delicious. Its egg is silky; its Canadian bacon is thick; and its bottom bread is buttery. When eaten together, the flavors mesh well. I appreciated the Caesar Salad; it's cheesy while using fresh crisp lettuce. Also, a big chubby, tasty sardine lays on top. The Tripe Steak is also a quality-cut; it lacks seasoning, but it's tender and juicy. The Angry Mac n' Cheese is an acquired taste; if you dislike spicy food, avoid it. Still, this Mac n' Cheese has personality... its breading is borderline sharp; its pasta is cooked perfectly; and its cheese is fresh. The Bone Marrow is delicious; it's like a gentle splash of a soft meaty teardrop. The Shrimp and Grits (although it tasted left out) is also very tasty; the grits had a sudden light kick of zest while also cradling a few juicy shrimps. The Wicked Juice is refreshing and lightly tart. Lastly, I found myself very happy with the Warm Molten Chocolate Cake; it's fresh, warm melted chocolate oozes silkily across the palate. This Molten Chocolate Cake is tiny, yet it packs a sweet, delightful punch. [Staff] Staff is delightful and helpful. Staff attended to us quickly, and Staff kept a constant bright smile. Our server (Jaqueline) worked very hard, and she brightened up our dining experience. Jacqueline stayed focused while maintaining a bright demeanor as the Wicked Spoon grew more busy. [Ambiance] The Wicked Spoon's ambiance is "5 Stars"! It absolutely gorgeous! This upscale, clean, well-ventilated location is enchanting with its decor, lovely light fixtures, and calming color scheme. Although the amped, energetic music is somewhat loud, it did not distract from this place's beauty. Overall, the Wicked Spoon uses very fresh and good-quality ingredients, but its food is cooked adequately. It's a flavor hit-or-miss. The spicy and salty options linger near the delicious alternatives, but that makes it an adventure. They had a buy one get one for Las Vegas locals for formula one weekend so we stopped by. Crab legs came out at 10 am and they were good but quite saltier than I remember. They do add dishes throughout so I think arriving at 10:30 would be perfect to get the best of both. Other good items: bone marrow, crazy Mac and cheese, basil friend rice, prime rib, cheese cake, tuna poke came out at the end it was decent! It's been my dream to come here for so long! Back on March 19, 2017, Buzzfeed had one of their show's "Worth It" do a segment on this location for their Buffet Price Point locations for the mid-range within the Las Vegas area. When I was younger, seeing that video always made me want to come here and try what they had to offer because they just made it look so appetizing and incredible of a display! And 8 years later I finally got the opportunity to make my way over here and let me tell you, it was an experience! Although I did see a lot of people complaining in other reviews that the wait time was atrocious, surprisingly for us it was moderate. For a Saturday midday arrival, we had only waited in line for about 20 minutes. The staff up front were doing a very nice job getting people and tables moved and ready to go. Now for the food... I was just shocked at the amount of options I had, and how unique each individual dish was. They were all cooked to order and individually plated so that you don't find yourself overeating specific items and alleviating waste. Chef De Cuisine Rhori Kow when asked what makes Wicked Spoon so unique, said this: "It's us taking a different angle, and something outside the box. Such as our Frog Legs and Bone Marrow. Certain things you wouldn't see at your normal buffet, and just being Wicked with it." and after finally partaking in their menu, I 100% stand by this. This place is definitely intimidating for picky eaters or those with selective palettes, but if you try your best to stay open-minded or step into the unknown, you'll be surprised by what might take your fancy! From main entrées to side dishes and desserts, this place has a wide range of options, and also classic choices if you find yourself feeling overwhelmed. Price wise, it was definitely in the mid-high range. I recall it being about $60 per person, but if you're not one to dine out a lot, this is definitely worth the few extra dollars to treat yourself while you're down in Vegas! Me and my wife were truly sad to leave after finishing our meal as we both had never had anything quite like this experience! We expect to return when we are able. With all the rave of this being one of the premier buffet spots in Las Vegas, I decided to give it a try. Went at 9am on Sunday and there was no wait. You pay first before being seated, and have a 90 minute time limit. The selection is absolutely massive, with 7 different food stations and something for everyone. I felt plagued by the abundance of choice and had a hard time choosing what to try. I will say though that after the first round, I completely lost my appetite and felt super bloated, even a bit nauseous. Compared to the other big buffets, I am quite now satisfied with what Wicked Spoon offers for its price. And I also appreciate that they have a shorter line for MGM rewards members. Probably the only suggestion I would give to management is to add table napkins. $47.99 for brunch and there are 2 lines to get into the buffet. (Priority with MGM Rewards and Marriott Ambassador Elite and general entrance) I would recommend making a reservation online prior to coming because the line can get very long throughout the day. There is plenty of seating for both small and large groups and it is very clean inside. Bathrooms are inside the buffet. Service - 5 stars! Our server, Lisa, was friendly and quick to get our drinks in. Plates were taken away as soon as we were done and drinks were refilled without asking. Such wonderful service and it made our dining experience that much better! Food- There is definitely something for everyone and the options range from Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, meats, seafood, salad, bread bar, and dessert. I would rate the food at about 3.5 to 4 stars depending on what you get. I would recommend getting the steamed crab legs, prime rib, bone marrow, smoked salmon, and gelato. Went there for breakfast at 10 am and we didn't wait very long for a table and everything looked delicious.. They have lots of options for brunch, everyday after 10am they served some small crab legs (which I don't care for it so that why my review is 5 stars) but I kinda understand because this buffet is cheaper compared to the other ones that has bigger crab legs. The Wicked Spoon is a tricky one for me to review. On the food side, I thought their brunch dishes were better than the Bellagio's. Some of the items were absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the bone marrow, leg of lamb, (larger) snow crab legs & the bacon (which was cooked perfectly). The blood orange fresh squeezed juice paired really well with the tri-tip. Wicked Spoon is not family friendly. The staff were flat out rude, including my server. Other than the ice cream & crème brûlée, everything else on the dessert bar was honestly awful! Overall, Wicked Spoon shines when it comes to the food, but the service and desserts fall below average. read more
Eat eat for me me please. Look. This buffet has everything you could want and need. And get this.... It's not bland or lame!! I promise.. they got it all from Asian food to Latin to American and European. Maaan!! I literally need to go nowhere else when I visit. Typically I bring my camera to snap shots of the experience and all but. This one particular time I didn't even lift the damn thing up. It was just soo much to discover and taste. My hands and mouth was busy busy lol. So I'll just leave you with these shots I took with my phone. Because had i have picked my camera up. On the reservation page, it says that the deposit to make the reservation is non-refundable, but it also says all cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance. If I make a reservation and put down my credit card for the deposit, is it refundable?
You don't get charges any deposit unless you don't show up. If you cancel before rhe time, they don't take any of your money
How much is it for brunch on a Thursday for locals?

According to my research the charge should be 5 adults one child, now if the 11 year old appears to look older you would need to show proof

Yes, there are weekend reservations. It's probably just booked. Highly recommend that you book in advance ASAP and keep checking the website.
Is there free parking anywhere nearby?
There's free parking for an or two nearby at Crystals and other resorts depending on the day. If you have pearl status or above with MGM rewards it's also free (at MGM resorts)
