Excellent bbq at this spot near the airport. Was cruising to Skyharbor in search of some lunch before a flight. Wild BBQ did NOT disappoint. A Texas-style limited menu has everything you need. Tried an off-menu choice - a brisket burger. This is a pair of chopped brisket patties topped with cheese, pickles and picked onions served on a brioche bun. Man, THIS was a winner! Chunky, juicy ground brisket grilled lusciously medium and seasoned to perfection. Every bite is an explosion of deliciousness. Beware- this is sloppy to eat but worth the extra napkins. Staff is engaging and friendly; they aim to please. Thank you! Definitely worth a stop on my next trip thru PHX.

If you're looking for incredible BBQ in Tempe, Wild BBQ is a must visit! The portions are absolutely massive, so come hungry! Every bite was packed with flavor, from their large ribs to their delicious sides. You can tell they put a lot of care into their food, and it shows both quality and quantity. This day we got 2 beef ribs, 2lbs of brisket, candy brisket (must try!), Texas Twinkie (jalapeno stuffed with brisket and cream cheese and wrapped with beef brisket). For the sides we ordered rice, Mediterranean salad, elotes, pita bread, and Mac/Cheese. It was enough to feed 4 very hungry people with leftovers. Also, customer service is on point. Everyone there was extremely nice and attentive. It is a bit on the pricey side but, BUT worth every single penny! We will definitely be back!

Been waiting for these guys to open and they're killing it! Not only do they bring a unique halal spin to Texas BBQ but they deliver on it too. That brisket is up there with the best of them and the wild naan is crazy, I gravitate towards that. The sides fell a bit flat to me and the beef cheeks (burnt ends) were overdone on my visit. And while I love a good smoked turkey with the tandoori concept, this also was a tad dry. Would gladly give them another try and their service is great

My fiancée and I drove past here then had to bust a "U" just to eat here. This place knows how to make a brisket! Brisket: 5/5 Candy brisket "burnt ends": 5/5 Texas Twinkie: 5/5 Mac n cheese: 4/5 Corn salad: 2/5 Pickles: 5/5 Bbq sauce 3/5 Service: 5/5 The crew members they were very welcoming. Also gave me a sample of their brisket before buying. Good vibes, and very professional. Ambiance: 5/5 Nice decent sized place, there's also outside seating. The bathrooms were clean as well! Overall I give it a :4/5 What would give it a 5? I would like more variety of bbq sauces something more spicy.

This place just opened a few months ago and I'm glad we stumbled into it. Haven't had good BBQ in a minute and this place made my belly happy lol. My favorite had to be their candy brisket! Everything was smoked and flavorful. Service was quick. The ambiance of this place is somewhat a cabin vibe, with dark wooden interior. Nice little spot for a date! The only thing I would say that'll make my experience better is if they served the food hot. I wanted to enjoy the cheese corn but it wasn't as enjoyable cold.

Tandoori smoked turkey, lean brisket, beef brisket sausage, coleslaw. Spicy BBQ sauce

We had the pleasure of frequenting Wild BBQ twice in the past couple of weeks. Our first visit we ordered the Tandoori Smoked Turkey and Lean Brisket with a side of coleslaw and Mediterranean salad. It was soooo good! We didn't take any pictures on our first visit but I made sure we did the second visit: Beef brisket sausage made with Wisconsin cheddar and no preservatives and we loved the turkey so much we ordered that again and the lean brisket with a side of coleslaw. I was asked if we wanted a Texas Twinkie if you don't know what that is please visit Wild BBQ and order it if it is not sold out. It sounded lovely sadly we didn't order it but hopefully on our next visit. This is our new favorite place and we have added it to our rotation of favorite restaurants. Service is awesome everyone is friendly and Kelley and team explained the menu items beautifully. You can tell everyone that works at Wild BBQ loves being there. Thank you for the lovely bbq we can't wait to visit again.

What an amazing experience at Wild BBQ! We went to their soft opening a few weeks back and tried the following. The staff was super helpful with helping us decide. Beef Dino rib- great bark, perfect smoke balance and there was plenty of meat on the bone! The staff gave us some free tortilla-style bread which was perfect as it cut the richness of the meat. Brisket sandwich: Portion size was massive- each piece of brisket was tender as can be! They had a sweeter tasting bbq sauce that went with the meat perfectly. Again we were pleased. The 2 of us had a Dino rib and brisket sandwich and it came out to 70ish, which is in line with what bbq would cost. We could've just eaten 2 sandwiches but wanted to try some other items. Anyways, to sum up, Wild BBQ is definitely worth a try-- get there earlier in the day if possible as they have been selling out early! Go go go Bonus, one of the cooks is a Patriots fan

Half a Tx Twinkie, Brisket, smoked turkey, beef rib, and Nan bread.

This was our first time and so we sampled a bunch. The jalapeño cheddar sausage had a great flavor and creamy cheese. The brisket came in regular and lean. Good bark and Smokey flavor. The brisket sandwich was $20 and they stacked it with meat. Most of the meats were $20ish a half pound. Twinkies and sausage $6 a piece. The tandoori smoked turkey was really good. Especially with their honey garlic/mustard sauce. Beef rib was fall apart tender. Good bark and juicy. The sides were meh. The yellow rice had a basic flavor. My brother really liked the Mediterranean salad. The naan bread seemed from scratch and good flavor. We came at 11 (opening) and there were 3 people waiting for the doors to unlock. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating and TVs for watching games and such. I give the meat 5 stars and the sides 3-4. I'll be back.

Remy in the movie Ratatouille learns that anyone can be a chef. While not everyone can cook, Wild BBQ shows that you do not need to be born in Texas to make authentic BBQ. Wild BBQ is open only on weekends from Fri/Sat/Sun from 11-8pm and does catering. It is on University and Roosevelt in downtown Tempe. Their barbecue is Texas style and smoked 14 hours. They also have quality meats since they are halal, and offer lamb. While there is no pork, the beef cuts are generous and tender. They may do a shredded beef sandwich in the future. The texas twinkie has shredded beef in a jalapeño which is moist and not too spicy. I followed the suggestions and had lamb shank and always brisket. I had mac and cheese (large shells) and beans. The beans were not overly vinegar nor too sweet without being bland. The mac and may need more cheese for the average person but it was good and will keep your cholesterol regulated while giving you good flavor. The meat were tender. The two sauces were spicy and sweet. Sweet was delicious and contains pomegranate juice from Jordan. The plate came with onions, pickles, and jalapeños, and naan bread which elevates the palate from a single piece of white sandwich bread. They serve Coke products and have iced tea. While the owners are Midde Eastern, there are no politics and appear to be a family trying to pursue the American dream through business ownership and putting out quality food. From travelling in the Middle East, most people are average people who are friendly and not like the news presents them. There is nothing more American than delicious smoked barbecue. Catch a ball game on one of the screens or sit outside. You will enjoy the food because they do it well!

This is one of those places that I just happened to see as we drove by. It stayed in my head overnight, so we came today to give it a try. It's conveniently located to ASU, and I did notice a lot of ASU students picking up food and also eating there. They've done a really good job with the decor here. It's got a lot of rustic wood, and the lighting fixtures made with antlers are pretty cool. You can see a couple of real taxidermied deer, too. It really does have a barbecue theme, if that's a thing. You have a choice of either ordering a sandwich or ordering meat by the pound. We ordered a half pound of the tri-tip, a pint of the smoke beans, and a single serving of macaroni and cheese. Macaroni and cheese was fine, and a single serving was definitely enough for the two of us to share. The beans were really delicious with lots of smoked meat in it. We ordered a pint and it was way too much for us to eat we and ended up bringing half of it home. The real star of the show was that absolutely amazing tri-tip top with chimichurri and cojita cheese and served with four pieces of naan bread, pickles, and picked onion (is you want). The meat was so tender and had a fantastic smoked flavor. I love a good chimichurri, and this may be the best chimichurri I've ever had. Having a chimichurri and cohita cheese on top of the smoked meat made me not even want to try the barbecue sauce. You can't really improve on something that delicious! The staff was super friendly and helpful, and two different people came by to ask how we were enjoying the meal. I really like that. This place is a winner for us simply because of the fantastic smoked meat with chimichurri. I highly recommend it!

Wild BBQ is a halal BBQ (no pork) spot located close to Mill Ave in downtown Tempe. Open 3 days a week Fri-Sun 9am-11pm. Designated parking on the east side of the building. In my opinion a mix of BBQ and Mediterranean. We originally wanted to try the beef ribs but they were sold out when we got there around 3pm. We ended up trying the brisket and it was very good. The sides were also great. ( the hot sides were more warm, by the time we sat down at the table they were cold). Friendly staff and overall really good experience. Nice set up and great music. We'll definitely come back earlier next time to try the ribs.

It was decent. The brisket was tender towards the top, but dry towards the bottom. The macaroni and cheese did not have any real cheese flavor. (it just taste like pasta with a tiny bit of cream ) The barbecue beans were excellent. The coleslaw was excellent. The corn salad was good. I went on a Saturday at 4 o'clock. (on the website it said they didn't close till 10. ) if I would've known, they run so short on everything. I would've gone earlier during the day and picked it up and just reheated it. They were out of everything except for Brisket, jalapeño sausage, and chicken. The last order of chicken was sold right after me. The service was good, it was fast, The ambience is what you would expect from a barbecue place. Again decent. I would not make a special drive over to this location on purpose. If I happen to be in the neighborhood. I probably would give it another try.

I literally could not shut up about this place even if you paid me. It's very rare to find such hospitable places and people in Tempe now, and they DID THAT. Starting from the door they let you sample the meats and walk you through. The general manager, Kelly went above and beyond with his hospitality. He went and gave us a tour of the back room where they smoke and cure all their meats. I thought that was something very unique and heartfelt. I will definitely be going back and making sure this place stays open!!

The brisket was pretty good but way too heavy on the beef tallow which makes you (or at least my wife and I) feel pretty queasy quickly.

As always, we love the BBQ here...we typically get the moist brisket, the smoked potatoes, the three bean salad...today I also added a couple of corns and their cole slaw. The food is always so good and we find very consistent. Here's where the customer service outshined previous visits...when I got there and started to order our to-go dinner, I was told the potatoes were gone and they were making more but it would be about 20-30 minutes before they were ready. I was told that someone previously had come in an purchased 30 potatoes, which I will always say...if you are going to order something that large from a restaurant, please be considerate and pre-order so they are prepared. You walking in and ordering that big of an order put the people behind you without some of their choices. No worries today...it's Mom's Day and I wasn't going to sway from getting BBQ for our dinner. I had some other things to do so left the store to take care of other business. Once back home (we live fairly close to the store), I called to ask if the potatoes were ready and after being placed on a brief hold, was told they had some ready but they were flying out the door! The young lady asked me if I wanted to place an order over the phone and decided to do that just so I could be sure we had their most wonderful smoked potatoes. I drove down to pick up our order and was met with some of the best staff, who laughed with me about the situation. They agreed about people calling beforehand when wanting that much food, apparently they also got about 30 lbs of meat as well. It's all good and we will be back when we need our Rudy's fix!
