We love Wild Boar! In CT we frequented a restaurant consistently found on "best wings in the country" lists. Wild Boar has scratched that itch for us. Our favorites are the garlic parmesan, honey sriracha, and sweet chili. We have also been on the hunt for a good pizza place, and WB filled that need as well. Soft, puffy crust with a variety of tasty toppings (sausage/spinach is a fave), its as good the next day as when purchased. The atmosphere at WB is casual and has a feel good vibe, especially on Saturday's when UT is playing. Arrived on a busy Friday eve. Was told out wait was 25-45 minutes. Quite the range. We found two singles at the bar and a couple of gents moved down a seat for us. Good beer selection while we checked the menu. I was in the mood for a burger and I like spicy so I ordered the Peter Piper. She found Mac Daddy Melt. The burgers lack a little seasoning. I think my jalapeños were all on one corner. Her Melt needed more Mac n cheese for sure. Both burgers were good and messy. The fires were very good and they don't skimp on the portions. Overall, pretty cool place to hang out have pizza a couple pints of beer or mixed drinks and what's also great if you like the crowd of listening to local bands playing music for everyone everyone I believe they have that on Friday and Saturdays around 8 PM me and the family traditionally get the large pesto pizza with chicken, which is pretty good given that my kids are pretty picky and they still eat it. I like to get the boneless hot wings. They're not too hot. When we came through the door and weren't greeted by the young man at the hostess desk I was rethinking our choice for dinner. And before seating us he took a call in order. I asked him to pause his call to seat us. My mother was with us and using a walker and at 91 years old she has trouble standing for long times. I finally found a waitress who was willing to help find us a table clear across the room. With plenty of open tables closer to us. Then we sat at a table with no waitress assigned to us. After waiting for 20 minutes I finally asked a waiter to find our wait staff. 10 minutes later a young lady came up and apologized for taking so long to come greet us. Alexia V was our waitress and once she was assigned our table things started to change for the better. She was very sweet and was able to help my mom with a special order not on the menu. The food came out hot because she was on top of things. For Alexia I would have given . But for everything else about this place would have gotten a zero!!!! read more

We went and it was a packed house. The energy was good and people seem to really enjoy it. Our server seemed to be given way too many tables though and little things here and there seemed to pile up. For instance we needed silverware which was way up at the host stand, drinks were brought out by hand instead of on a tray to save time. I really think they had the whole dining room. The other people seemed only to be food runners. The wings I had were great. They were smoked and with garlic Parmesan sauce on them. They could've been a bit warmer, but as I said they seemed super short staffed. Kudos to the service for carrying the restaraunt. Last we go the Kalua brownie a la mode. We felt like the Kalua was undetectable in it. It was good and better quality, but a normal brownie a la mode is one of the most standard desserts at American restaurants. We went on a Sunday evening at about 5pm. Place was dead. There were about 15-20 people in the bar and about the same in the dining room. We were greated relatively promptly but the host wasn't too happy to be there. I think something may have been wrong with her (bad day, personal problems) as after she sat us she sat a few tables down and struggled to wrap silverware. Not because she didn't know what she was doing, but because she was not present in the moment. It took about 30-60 seconds to wrap each set. She just sat and played with the silverware. (That part was actually a little gross, please don't play with silverware you're giving to guests.) I hope she has a better day soon. Our waitress was pleasant enough and she came to greet us quickly. Food came very quickly too and was huge portions. She didn't bring the food (after the apps) though and didn't check on us til we needed boxes so maybe she was on a break? No worries. We only waited a few minutes after we were ready for our tab. We had the pretzel with cheese for an appetizer and it was really pretty good. Cheese was luke warm though. I like mine HOT. We both had BBQ entrees for dinner. I had the brisket and my hubby had the 3 meat combo. He didn't like the pulled pork and the sausage didn't taste truly BBQ'd, but overall he liked it. He smokes a lot of meats at home and we thought the brisket was VERY tender but it had no bark. Really bummed about this. Mine also had an abnormally large amount of fat on it. It was like I got the fattiest pieces they had. Not my preference, but I took it home for the dogs. Overall it was good but we won't rush to come back. If we do we'll probably try the burgers or pizza as they seem to be well liked. read more

I hate to complain. Ever. :( Our first visit was okay. Not great, but 'okay'. But this visit was awful. The lasagna was way over seasoned with oregano and the VERY TINY salad we got was sitting in a pool of water. :( Just a really bad visit. Plus, the guy that took our order was dry and rude. Found this through Yelp, needing a late-night place to get some food, have a beer, and do some work. NOT really a "working" bar-- on the other hand, I had two women approach me asking why in the world I was on a computer late on a Friday night, in a bar with live music. So maybe that's a good tricky way to get some interest on future nights out, LOL. Actually when the band started up, I moved outside for quieter conditions-- but I had been enjoying the music! So I had a pizza which was quite tasty (bechamel, it was called) and two of their house drafts which tasted like Yuengling-- not too bad. Got internet access to send in my work, so that was bonus. You couldn't eat it. The server was barely around. We had to go find somebody find our server and when I told him to tell the management that the food was so bad, he said he told him that they didn't say anything he's gonna try and charge me $24. Maggie was our server. We had a group of 10 people. We came from out of town to meet up with my sister and brother in law. They are local to your area. We had various appetizers that were delicious followed by a Blue Cheese wedge salad. I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. It was delicious. I took the other half of the sandwich back to my sister's to enjoy later. The only downside of our evening was that during our meal, a band was setting up on the stage. Randomly stopped here for lunch. Originally planned on going to the Chinese restaurant next door but this place looked good and busy so we gave it a try. The servers seemed busy in the moment so we had to wait longer than usual to get drinks. Looked like the servers didn't know who was going to take us or not but luckily we got a good server. I forgot his name but he was really nice and apologized for the wait. (School teacher guy, he was cool) We order fried pickles, catfish Sammy and wings! The food was hot and delicious. The catfish Sammy had way too many pickles but was still tasty. I would definitely eat here again. Went there tonight for a first time visit after hearing positive reviews. Had reviewed menu ahead of time so no one in our party would be disappointed. So we didn't stay long enough to even get a drink. There was a women "singing" or giving birth to a cow maybe, I'm really not sure. At first i thought it was bad karioke, but no, it was a girl and guy duet, that according to our server after we asked about the extreme volume said they could play anything as loudly as they wanted and sometimes it was even worse. This place is great. I can not wait to go back! My wife had the Lasagna. I am very picky when it comes to lasagna or spaghetti. That was one was really good! I highly recommend it. It comes with garlic knots. They are good but have alot of garlic and black pepper on them. The Nachos are made with homemade potato chips. They are perfect with the right amount of topings. My husband and I chose to go to WBT on 4/7/24 because we know they have one of the best steak burgers. We got there around 5:45pm to find that they were not very busy. We sat at the bar and had to wait at least 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge we were there and take our order. When my burger came without the cheese I ordered, I let them know. They took my plate back to the kitchen. It took 10 minutes for my plate to get back to me. Five of those minutes it sat waiting for someone to pick it up. This is not the service we are used to having when we go there. We were just really disappointed knowing that they weren't busy and couldn't focus on their customer service. (Also, it was my birthday. I was going to get dessert and take it home. But we were ready to go after we ate.) I know you can do better! read more

Been here a handful of times and I can't justify coming back. I haven't had a good meal here. I don't like their spaghetti and the pizza I had was burnt to a crisp. They also served "chocolate cheesecake" when I ordered last and they gave me ny cheesecake with a chocolate topping.
