Great food and thanks to the Yelp app we waited for just a few minutes. On our vacation drive we decided to stop somewhere in Indy for lunch. Hubby didn't know that there was a wait and he didn't know that parking could be tricky. When we got close I joined the wait list and started checking for parking. We scored a metered spot a block away and arrived, waited like 2 minutes and w're seated. Everything we had was great! The coffee was hot and fresh and the pot was on the table (yippee!). The drinks came quickly but the food not so much. As another yelper pointed out, there is a wait that seems longer than normal. We had our server apologize twice for how long it took to get our food and tell us it was usually faster. Son #4 had the chocolate chip Belgian waffle. There was no talking as he was totally focused on eating it. Hubby had the Wild Western omlette with the grits of the day and a blueberry muffin. He was in heaven! He said he he grits were so flavorful and the muffin was chocked full of BIG blueberries. Then there's me, the gluten free person. They have a GF menu with lots of options! I had the Frito Bandito Frittata. Chorizo!!! It came with potatoes and GF toast. The bread was normal size, any of my GF peeps know the deal with the GF bread. It's like 1/2 the size of normal bread. I always look for a good Sunday brunch spot and Wild Eggs made my list! I came here with a friend at about 11:30 on a Sunday. The place was packed and we had a 25 minute wait until we could get in. I ordered the House Blend Coffee and the Huevos Rancheros. I must say the coffee was really good! Not watered down at all! My friend ordered a Big Stack with a side of eggs and bacon. It took about 30 minutes for our food to come out, which was understandable because it was so busy. My Huevos Ranceros was amazing!! The beans and potatoes were super flavorful and the salsa was very fresh. I got a large serving which I could barely finish. My serving size was nothing compared to my friend's, however. The Big Stack is definitely VERY BIG. The pancakes are HUGE and very fluffy. It's a whole lotta pancake for one person, but they were great for the price! I wanted to try a new breakfast place downtown, and Wild Eggs popped up on Yelp. I'm really happy it did because this is a great breakfast spot in the Mass Ave area! I was pretty basic and ordered a waffle with chocolate chips. Although there wasn't much to it, it was really delicious. There were chocolate chips both inside my waffle and on top. YUM! Their coffee is great (and bottomless- thank goodness), as well! I need to be more adventurous next time and try one of their egg items. The main reason I'm giving them a 5 star review, though, is for the service. Our waitress was super fast, efficient, and on top of things! Gotta love good service. I was excited to try this new brunch restaurant to downtown Indy, only to be disappointed. The food tasted pretty average and the French toast portion was so small! I only got two regular (certainly not thick) slices for just over $8. After looking at the to go menu on our way out, I realized it would have been cheaper to order two slices of French toast as a side. Upon discussion, my boyfriend and I suspect that the rent at this space is very high given the location, and that the restaurant won't do too well over time as there were significantly more staff than customers at 10 am Saturday morning. Side note: Wild Eggs has a very similar vibe (layout, colors, decor, etc) to Yolk, also located downtown. However, Yolk serves significantly larger portions for a similar price. read more

I LOVE this place! My first introduction was through a Yelp event. We sampled the cinnamon rolls and the raspberry pancakes. Oh, my!! Those fluffy pancakes were awesome! Light, pillowy and the sauce was the perfect amount of sweet. So, less than one week after the Yelp event I went back for a very late Sunday brunch. The place was busy, but we still got right in on one of the last open tables. My friend ordered the 'Bennies Gone Wild' with mushrooms, poached egg, hollandaise, and tomato on an english muffin. He really liked it. I ordered the hash brown casserole for us to share. It was really yummy! Not as good as Cracker Barrel's but I can guarantee that the only reason why I like that one better is because it is probably made with more processed cheese and other fattening things. This casserole wasn't greasy at all and still delicious. One tiny complaint is that the size of the side was rather small. For my main entree I ordered the chili verde huevos rancheros. I really liked everything on my plate from the beans to the stewed tomatoes in the chili, but there could have been more pork chili on top (you can also get a vegetarian version). One small detail that I think sets this place a part from other brunch spots.... the fresh squeezed OJ. Oh, my.... yum. Every person at the table next to us ordered the pancakes. I drooled a bit as each plate was placed before them. Can't stop thinking about them! The service here is excellent by the way. Everyone is so friendly! It's a nice pairing to the bright, sunshine-y decor. Also, for being quite busy everything (including restroom) was very clean. A+++++, Wild Eggs! This is a great brunch spot. The location is perfect, right downtown Indy. You can even walk to Mass ave when you're done eating! It is very busy especially on the weekends. They will call/text you when they're ready to seat you. I really love this because it gives me the freedom to go on a little walk! There is also complimentary coffee while you wait (this is a great perk for me). The interior of this restaurant is so cute. Of course, everything is egg themed. I loved looking around and finding all the eggs in the decor. There is also a round breakfast bar in the center It is really cool! I want to come back to sit at that bar! The food was great. I had an omelette and I would definitely come back for more! I liked the array of traditional breakfast items. it felt really safe and predictable. They also had great muffins that came with my meal! Sunday brunch on New Year's Day - not super quick on the food, but they were possibly busier than usual. Not sure because it was our first visit. Our server was polite though! And we ordered a second pitcher of mimosas before the first was finished and asked her to bring it when the first was finished and she was very prompt with it! We had the cinnamon roll, which was delish! We split it four ways and it was still more than enough! I had the Crabby Patty Bennie, their crab cake eggs benedict, and it was yummy! Surprised that Wild Eggs is a chain, why yes I am. However, it was pretty much the same layout and taste as here in Louisville. We only ran into two small issues while dining: 1. My poached egg on my Mr. PotatoHead casserole was a tad over cooked, not so much runny yolk, so I sent it back but they fixed it in a jiffy. 2. My mom got the grits of the day and was told it was cheddar cheese by the host but when received looked extra dark. Well they turned out to be apples and cinnamon, totally opposite ends of the spectrum. Last but not least, our server was awesome which always makes your experience even better. Split the stuffed French toast and*Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict. To start, the French toast was stuffed with very fresh strawberries and blueberries with just the right amount of sweetened cream cheese... not too sweet and just about right amount of food. The Benedict was cooked perfectly and the cornbread it was on went perfectly with the rest of the ingredients. Otherwise, I would highly recommend the mimosa pitcher! I found myself at Wild Eggs 30 minutes before they opened due to my apartment complex fire alarms going off (for over 3 hours)! Workers were very nice and asked how everything was going. As I am gluten free, they brought me a GF menu which was helpful. This was typical for a breakfast place. Prices could have been better but, was not too bad for downtown eatting. I have to say the food here was decent although our experience here was a little sketchy - just because we felt judged because of our skin color. Here's our experience: we got here and one of my colleagues gave her name to the hostess and in my opinion was just written down and ignored because after 10 minutes of waiting I gave my name and then right after that I received a notification on my phone about being on the waitlist, about close to 10 minutes after waiting again, my colleague then went back and ask the hostess for an update and she "forgot" about her but she all of a sudden had available seats for us. We got in and sat at our table - and the room just felt weird with people just staring at us - I know this is Indiana but it was scary and embarrassing at the same time esp some of the other workers inside the restaurant were staring as well. I've never been able to order it as my entree but I've tried it from friends. I've also been for lunch and got the spin n chicken salad. It has always been fresh, but I do believe in a sufficient amount of toppings on salads, especially if it's one type of lettuce or spinach. I believe the second time I got this salad it was lacking in toppings. If all you're eating is spinach, you should definitely have a good amount of protein. The dressing, a bacon balsamic, is warm and SO delicious. That dressing is so good it's dangerous. All in all, a good brunch spot for those who aren't afraid to get creative and aren't looking for just your standard breakfast dishes at mom and pop brunch restaurants. read more

Our waitress was very kind and brought us a pitcher of water and an extra Diet Coke just in case she was unable to return to us. The food came out at a decent time after we placed our order. I did find it to be a bit pricey for the portion size. My 9-year old got a short-stack with sausage that she promptly devoured. My teenager opted for the breakfast nachos, but wasn't a fan of the cheese, which is mixed with the house made hollandaise. Our waitress and the manager were happy to allow her to exchange it for the Zax Fried Egg platter. Been coming to Indy for week at a time to work downtown. This is a great little spot right across from park and convenient to everything downtown. I usually get there right after opening so never too crowded during the week though starts filling up as the morning goes. Good mix of business people and working folk. It's pretty large and no problem distancing. Bright and clean. Food is standard breakfast diner but fresh ingredients. I'm partial to the Benedict's. They do it right with perfect eggs.
