I went with the Kalamity Katie's Benedict. It was super unique and unlike anything I've had before. I really enjoyed it, but I wouldn't hesitate to try something new next time instead. we have had brunch at this location a couple of times in the past few weeks, We have friends who live nearby. So we drive to their house and walk from there, which makes it a fun adventure before we even hit the doors. We have eaten outside both times, since I am still not going into restaurants due to COVID. Yesterday Allen was our server and he really went above and beyond. My husband made this known to the manager after our meal. Tips are one part of a servers appreciation but voicing your pleasure with a server to the manager is just as important as voicing your displeasure. My husband had the yellow submarine club sandwich with fries, which were not hot when they arrived. but the sandwich was huge as are more of the items on the menu. He was only able to eat half the sandwich which was loaded with ham, bacon, egg, cheese and toppings. He enjoyed his meal. I opted for a English muffin, butter on the side, an order of bacon not crispy and grits with cheese. It was all hot and brought to the table exactly as ordered with a friendly smile by Allen. Tables are socially distances and the staff all were wearing masks. There is ample parking in this strip mall setting. Again, huge portions of food, most items could be shared by 2 people. They have such a large selection it was hard to decide what to order! The apple bourbon crepes are excellent and aren't so heavy you'll be snoozing all afternoon. They'll custom order stuff too, want bacon grits or 1/2 waffle 1/2 french toast? They'll do it for you and even suggest it since service is really friendly. They also have cheap bloody Mary's, mimosas, and tasty Irish coffee drinks. I'm not always a huge breakfast person since I don't like eggs and I really enjoyed this place so that says a lot. The only drawback to wild eggs, at least in Middletown, is they are so popular there is usually a big wait on the weekend in the morning. The good thing is they have a breakfast bar you can sit at that is first come first serve and if they are busy, there are usually a couple seats available The turnover at the breakfast bar is pretty quick. We noticed a gentleman dining alone right by our table and invited him to sit with us since we had extra seats. He obliged and we had a great time. Excellent breakfast. Stopped in on a Friday about 9:30am, location was busy but the wait was only about 5 mins. This location is very nicely decorated with egg art. The entire staff was friendly. We started with a picher if ice water with lemon on the table and we ordered coffee. Coffee arrives in a small pot so you can refresh your own in addition to the waiter topping you off. We both were given our own small pot of creamer. Both the water and coffer were refreshed regularly by our waiter. The coffee was excellent and not at all bitter as you sometimes encounter with restaurant coffee. I chose the basic egg breakfast but exchanged tots for breakfast potatoes and toast for the everything muffin. My eggs were perfectly cooked and they brought apple butter for my toast. My friend had chicken fried steak and eggs. We both enjoyed what we ordered and the menu is fairly large so I feel there's something for everyone. While there are several Wild Eggs locations, I still consider them to be a local chain and I enjoy eating at the smaller and independent establishments. read more

We had an awesome waiter named Ike. I came here with my family which was 5 adults and one child. We all ordered different things ranging from the Mr.Potato Head Casserole, Waffles, Pancakes, Egg Whites, Stuffed French Toast, Omelettes and Grits of the Day. Everyone mentioned how the food was very good. I specifically had the Mr. Potato Head Casserole. It consisted of Hasbrown potatoes baked with sour cream, diced onions, spices and cheddar-jack cheese. Topped with breakfast sausage, diced tomatoes, poblano peppers, roasted mushrooms, queso fundido and an egg your way. I changed out the breakfast sausage and asked for Chorizo. It was amazing! I also asked for my egg to be pouched. This breakfast was so hearty but good! Very filling! The flavor of everything came together nicely. I loved the hashbrown block. It was moist and creamy but held together well. The pouched egg on top was the cherry. I cut it open and the yolk just ran out beautifully. The Chorizo added the perfect pinch of spice. This was overall a great dish! I also tried my daughters Grit of the Day. It was Queso Sausage with Roasted Tomatoes. This was actually very good, very flavorful and different. My husband doesn't really care for Grits and he even thought they were really good. My daughter enjoyed them to say the least. Overall, Wild Eggs is a great breakfast/brunch place. Amazing food and service! My husband and I visited Wild Eggs for the very first time and was blown away by the delicious breakfast and wonderful hospitality. We arrived around 10 AM on a Saturday and waited for around 25 minutes to get a seat. There is a breakfast bar that you can sit and eat it, but I think it is first come first serve. All of the decor is centered around eggs and they have neat photographs of eggs along the walls. Once we sat down, we were greeted by our server and mentioned to him that it was our first time visiting Wild Eggs. He was very friendly and told us some of the most popular items on the menu. My husband ended up ordering an omelette with a side of potatoes and one pancake and I ordered Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict with a pancake instead of an Everything Muffin. You just have to pay an extra dollar to substitute the pancake for the muffin. After we placed our order, our server surprised us with an Everything Muffin, a sample of their freshly squeezed orange juice, and a side of their famous house-made chorizo sausage gravy. He said all of these were on the house and wanted to make sure our first time visit was pleasant. It definitely was! The manager also came by to check on us several times throughout our meal to make sure we were enjoying the food and service. It has been a long time since I have had the pleasure of having such great service at a restaurant! Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict was delicious! I loved the poached eggs on top of the green chili cheddar corn cakes. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked to a medium. The pancake was amazing! It was probably the fluffiest pancake I have ever had! The Everything muffin was surprisingly great as well. It is a savory muffin that has poppy seed in it. My husband enjoyed his breakfast as well! One of the best brunches I've had! My sister got the Kalamity Katie Benedict with corn cake and it was different and delicious! It does not come with hollandaise sauce so you'll have to request it. I got the Farmers Market skillet and it was packed with plenty of veggies and two over-easy eggs on top. We also ordered a pitcher ($25.99) of pomegranate mimosa and that was tasty and never-ending! I had 4 glasses and didn't even put a dent in it! Needless to say, I walked out a bit tipsy so maybe that's why I was so happy with this place! Wild Eggs, however, delivers consistent food at a reasonable price. Be aware, this place can get packed early. Either go super early or near closing, because parking can be scarce and the wait can be long. The interior, thankfully, doesn't seem cramped. There are a good amount of tables. The interior is bright and cheerful, and it can turn you into a morning person. I always start with their house blend coffee. It is a great cup of coffee, with a good flavor and it packs a punch. I always feel super focused after a few cups. For brunch, I got the Crabby Patty Bennie. It consists of two poached eggs and crab meat over an English muffin with hollandaise sauce. It is served with potatoes and an everything muffin. The portion is perfect, and it's filling without being outrageously heavy. Oh well, now for the taste, hard and dry piece of chicken, disappointed, at least if it was juicy but failed there, for the waffles, great taste and really enjoyed the bacon and chicken inside the waffle. Wife had the chilaquiles and they we too soft, the tortillas is supposed to be crispy, and the fires were stale and over fried, other person ordered the pancakes were fluffy and big size, that I would recommend. Coffee was tasted as if it was too long in the burner, it had a burnt and bitter taste. Would we come back? Umm, maybe but we would order something completely differently. A friend and I went after a bike ride and we got chicken and waffles/ French toast and it was divine. Very filling and the portions were satisfying.
