RIDICULOUS! I placed an order online at 2:27 pm. They confirmed the order at 2:51 pm and started to prepare it. The eta was 3:07 to 3:17. It then became 3:20 to 3:30. Totally fine. 4 o clock rolls around STILL NO FOOD! I called three times & no one answered the phone. Finally, I contacted Seamless. Turns out they closed the restaurant at 4:11 and didn't bother to inform me, even though they supposedly started making my order an hour and a half prior. Absolutely ridiculous. Excellent chinese and japanese food with one miss. The wonton soup is spectacular. Homemade wontons with bak choy. We also enjoyed the sesame and general tso chicken. They were crispy with good quality meat. The tofu was also great in all of the entrees. Our only miss was a noodle dish with an aggressive serving of fish sauce. I come to this restaurant all the time and I've noticed it's going very downhill. It used to be full of customers and now no one goes. I'm not sure if they are trying to make budget cuts but the food AND service is awful. Last time I ate in person, our waiter did not bring us water or the tea we ordered. we reminded him several times and then he finally brought it after our dinner so we had to sit there and chug it because we had a movie to catch. I heard other customers sending food back and complaining about missing items as well. I ordered take out from them and picked my food up 5 minutes after the pickup time was scheduled. My soup was cold and was just pure broth. My tuna sushi was GREY and full of tendons. My shrimp tempura roll was stale and inedible. At that point I was scared to eat any of it because there was also a foul smell. I called for a refund to which they only offered 50% refund which was ridiculous because of how sick I would've been if I ate this food. If you want good food go to Kumo Sushi in Eastchester it's only a town over and won't kill you! I wouldn't trust any old reviews on this place because it has always been great until these past few months. read more

If you like sushi this is the place for you. Specialty tools were fabulous! I had the Golden Roll, which was wrapped in mango and topped with wasabi caviar. It did not disappoint! My boyfriend had the Kamikaze roll, which he tells me was one of the best he's had! The entrees were good, but not amazing. I would definitely go back for sushi though. Tonight their new millennial delivery child girl has the audacity to tell my 8 month pregnant wife she has to walk downstairs to the street to meet her at her car because she won't get out of the car to actually deliver the order we placed for delivery. I wish they had a separate rating for service. The food is good but the delivery service sucks. So I ordered here through Seamless and paid with my credit card. Got the confirmation that the order had been placed and was on it's way. The charge hit my account immediately. 15 minutes later they were here. I was like wow that's fast. The delivery person was refusing to give me my food because he said I didn't paid. When i showed him that I paid via seamless, in very broken English he said they don't take seamless orders. There is not a lot of choice for sushi in the area. The place is nice, the food is good enough but it's a little too pricey. It's a nice place to go if you are a large group of people. They tend to bring out the food at weird times but it's ok. Don't go there if you want a great experience of Japanese cuisine. Go there if you want a couple rolls. The decor was very lovely. The wait staff was very friendly. The drinks were very good. Sadly, the food wasn't all that great and the prices were kind of steep. I got the pan-seared tuna with soba noodles. The whole dish, while beautifully presented, just lacked flavor really. My mom got the Wok glazed Wild Ginger tofu which was also just kind of eh. The vegetable dumplings were a bit too rubbery. The one dish that was good was the beef pad thai. Some of the sushi rolls sounded good, but they were a bit too pricey for me. read more

I first experienced Wild Ginger in Long Island and was excited about having one closeby in Bronxville. In general I love the wide selection of food this restaurant has to offer. One of my favorites is mango chicken, and their salmon is pretty good as well. The decor is very modern and it's a great place to kick back with your friends, with coworkers after work, or to go out on a date. However, when it's busy the service becomes slow, but is still okay. I'm still a fan of the restaurant in Long Island more than this one, but I will definitely be back again when I get cravings for good pan-Asian food. read more

We did not have a good experience at its sibling restaurant, Water Moon, in Rye so that should have been the first warning. We went with an open mind and they disappointed. The shui mai was cold (probably microwaved along with edamame) since they came within 2 minutes of being ordered. When we told them it was cold inside, no apology, just whisked off. The honey glazed shrimp/chicken was not advertised as fried and was average, the steam chilean sea bass was lukewarm at best. Our waitress was indifferent at best. They certainly can fill the water glasses well. We sat at a booth and right behind me, there was a nail head protruding from the seat. Overall, stay away unless you want to be disappointed or have come to expect little from Westchester dining establishments. read more

i don't quite understand such harsh criticisms, especially in comparing wg to haiku/japan inn. i'm big on sashimi and i find wg's sushi bar much more reliable than its neighbors. seafood is fresher, rolls more innovative - and the price is just as, maybe even less, than haiku. wg's dim sum, for a restaurant miles away from chinatown, are pretty decent. their dumplings come in a variety - steam/fried, duck, chicken, veggie or szechuan. i highly suggest having lunch here. all lunch entrees are served a'la bento box, and for around $10, one affords a filling portion of the entree (and there are tons of options), accompanied by soup, salad, some dumplings and rolls. read more

I've come here a number of times with my friends. Each time we get there, there's always an open table and the waitstaff is friendly. The sushi is amazing, I've eaten the eel cucumber roll, which is my absolute favorite, and the spider roll. The eel roll was fantastic, and the sauce was perfect, but the spider roll was a bit clumsy to eat. The fried crab was sticking out of sushi, some sort of decoration, so i decided to leave that particular piece. A little weird, but okay. I've also had the chicken with vegetables, which was brought in a really cute pot with an amazing sause (Note: get the sauce on the side and add it as you please, it can be a bit rich.) Oh, and the salmon salad is so good I crave it on a daily basis. Its not cheap, but its really worth the price for certain things. Overall, I had a poor take-out experience at Wild Ginger. The food was overpriced and bland, and the portions were much smaller than expected. I ordered the lunch special General Tso's chicken, and it was $9. It was served with six pieces of chicken and a large portion of brown rice. The pad Thai I ordered was particularly bland, and it was served with peanuts despite requesting no peanuts. It was possibly the least flavorful pad Thai I've ever tried. The Singapore noodles were also bland. They lacked curry flavor, and the portion was particularly small for the $13.50 price point. For the flavorless food and expensive price point, I would expect much better service and overall quality. I would not recommend or return to Wild Ginger. read more

When I came here for the first time, I was seated right away. The menu is quite extensive. The Westchester roll was surprisingly good as I'm not a huge fan of spicy tuna! I am however, a huge fan of anything salmon! I ordered salmon sushi and it was melt-in-your-mouth good! It was fresh and very tasty. The salmon avocado roll is nothing special but still good. The tom yam soup was a little weird tasting to me. I had expected something else though so it was just a matter of personal taste. I found this on a whim while I had time to kill between work and a doctors appointment. So I was by myself and ate at the bar. The Pinot Grigio was way too sweet so I would not get that again, but I should have asked for a taste first so that's pretty much on me. I ordered the tuna dumplings and the Wild finger roll. Both were very nicely prepared and presented even at the bar. The dumplings were delicious. They are actually sheets of tuna filled with seaweed, avocado and caviar and rolled into a ball. Very good sushi and dumplings. Service was very good. The restaurant is much bigger than it appears. If you get their app they have very good coupons and specials. The sushi dinner special was a good value and fresh. I could not finish it all, soup or salad and three rolls that you get to choose from a wide selection. From 4-7 they have happy hour, which I think has a wide range of specials. Parking can be a bit tricky. read more
