So delicious!! We stopped in before a concert and were pleasantly surprised! The food and service were great!!

For the price they charge, the service was not up to par. It took a staff over 10min to acknowledge and seat me. Once seated, it took approx another 10min before I was offered water and a menu. Service was slow even though it was not busy. Food took close to 30min to arrive and no one came by to refill water until the check was dropped. Food quality did not match price either. read more

Great service. Food seems somewhat inconsistent. The chicken in the pad thai was pretty rubbery. The chicken 65 had much better texture though (maybe because it had thigh meat in it) and an amazing mix of spices. Malay cake was also pretty great. I love the newest Wild Ginger restaurant. Very clean and with a cool and trendy vibe. I can't wait to go back when the outdoor seating is available. Our server Minan was very helpful without being pushy. We started with the papaya salad and it was delicious. The Indian butter chicken was amazing and just melted in our mouths and had a flavor that was addictive. We loved the Mongolian noodles too. The cocktails were original and had lovely presentation. OMG what a lovely experience, just what we were looking for. Very comfortable yet upscale ambiance, wait staff was very professional, food was delicious especially the sea bass lettuce wraps, a must for a light appetizer. This is more of a 3.5 stars. Went here for dinner on a Sunday night and the place was not busy. It had a a contemporary chic vibe. My husband ordered the sea bass for 30+, its a small dish but the flavors were very good. I ordered the seafood noodle which was also good. For a place this caliber, you expect better service. Water is not refilled, server a bit lack luster. Im glad I tried the it but at this price point, I want a better experience. I might still recommend this place since the food is good. read more

Went to Wild Ginger tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday. The service was excellent and so was the food! We've had a great server who made sure we were well taken care off. The food was super delicious and quantity was good! We also got a little surprise for the birthday, which made the day even more special. What a great spot for a business dinner! This location is a nice change from the usual dinner spots in Seattle. Wild Ginger's menu favorites were the sea bass lettuce wraps, the Mongolian noodles and the scallops! If you like spicy food, I highly recommend the seabass. It was one of the best dishes I've ever had. My wife ordered the duck, which was also delicious. The side of string beans is also a must. Our server was phenomenal, making our move to Seattle extra special by providing ice cream on the house. The coconut and some type of berry ice cream was delicious! My wife and I just moved to the area and this was the first real memorable meal we had in the first two weeks we've been here. We can't wait to come back! read more

Really love this place. I am obsessed with their sichuan green beans. Their fried rice and Mongolian noodles are great, so is their seven flavor beef and chicken potstickers. We have always had great service and the price is really reasonable for the food quality and location. We've always been able to get a table without a reservation, even thought they are always decently busy, they have a lot of tables. They also have outside seating with heaters too! read more

We came here in a large group for a friend's birthday dinner. Interior was tasteful and service was super attentive. My old fashioned was pretty solid. But the food was just ok. I got the seafood thai noodles (soy sauce, basil, and chili) and thought the flavor was bland and the noodles overcooked. The Sichuan green beans were a crowd pleaser, but nothing out of the ordinary. I feel like Wild Ginger is just trying to do too many Southeast and East Asian cuisines in one restaurant. I can see this as a great spot for a business lunch/dinner, but I personally would not come here for the food. read more

Amazing in every way possible. We tried the seven flavor beef, the Indian butter chicken, the spring rolls, the beef satay, and the sayur lodeh. Everything was flavorful and delicious, and the portions were generous. I made a reservation online for the Lake Union restaurant and requested a quiet table because my cousin & I were taking our 97 year old Grandmother who is very hard of hearing. Grandma has been going to Wild Ginger since it first opened in the 90s, however, she thinks the new Lake Union location is her favorite because it's quiet & they have a drink with smoked cardamom called Lost in Laos. When we got to the restaurant the hostess sat us at a nice quiet booth in the back. Our waiter, Matthew, informed us that Lost in Laos wasn't on the menu currently and wouldn't be returning until August. Grandma was pretty devastated as she said, "That's the whole reason I came!" Matt went above & beyond and, without saying a word, made the cocktail for Grandma. He actually informed us that he was the inventor of the cocktail. Furthermore, he gave us a complimentary dessert and said that it was a token of gratitude for Grandma's local patronage over the years. My family has been going to Wild Ginger for years and this was definitely the best customer service we have had. Matt was friendly, knowledgeable and thoughtful. He made all the difference in our experience & his cocktail invention is amazing! Our family favorites are the Siam Lettuce Cups (a must), 7 spiced beef, the duck, Mongolian Noodles & the Lost in Laos, of course. We're so glad to have the Lake Union location & people like Matt that make all the difference in the experience while also adding innovation to the menu. read more

Remember when Coke changed their formula and everyone thought WTF? Wild Ginger, WTF??? This place once was sought after by tourists as well as locals - they once had a customer-centric menu full of flavor and choice - why change something working so well? And they have - you end up paying a premium for non- premium food - salty, formulaic, tasted like someone gave it as much thought as a rotten apple - the service as always was 4-star but that cannot make up for the loss of what was once a meal to celebrate and crave for weeks after - lackluster, menu was stripped of any variety and taste - sadly, will most likely not return read more

One of the best Asian fusion places I've ever been too! Awesome flavors. Great service and reasonably priced entrees and wines. We ordered the sea bass lettuce wraps, sea bass entree and seafood Thai noodles and were amazed. The fusion of flavors was outstanding!! For 2 of us with 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, one shared dessert, one bottle of wine and 2 after dinner drinks all for a little under $200. It was memorable and we will be back !!!! read more

Was only in Seattle for the night and found this place a block from my hotel. I must say the service here was top notch, all the staff members we're especially tentative and the bartender was available at any given time. The ambience, wait staff and food were incredible. If you want quality cuisine, this is the place. Our server Minon was perfection! However, if you are a woman, or traveling with other women, don't expect any courtesies from the Assistant General Manager, Robert LaBuda. He's obviously cut from the same cloth as ANY other white male of privilege. He seated us near the bathroom and kitchen when he saw that we weren't millennial, well dressed Seattlites (its all about the image). He NEVER came around to check on our meal, but did check on the meal of the heterosexual couple 3 feet from us. I've always heard about the blatant sexism in the restaurant business. I can say it was experienced tonight! At least this restaurant's general manager IS A WOMAN. Perhaps she can nip this bad behavior in the bud! read more

The server was impatient and rude, and the food is okay. Not recommended unless you don't have a better place to go.

My friend and I came here for dinner because we each had a $25 dining voucher. We purposely sat at the bar (the voucher said "one per table") and asked the bartender if we could get separate checks and each use a voucher, and the bartender said yes. At the end of our meal, we were presented with one check and a manager came and said the bartender was mistaken and we could not get separate checks. Needless to say, the whole experience was completely disappointing; we would have ordered differently had we know we could not each use a voucher. Regardless of what restrictions are printed on the voucher, an establishment should honor its word/the representations of its employees. read more

Pretty space and next door to where I live so was excited to try it out. Super disappointed in the service. Already mentioned in a previous review, we had actual crab shells in our fried rice - mmmm nice and crunchy! (Not.) While I appreciate the GM's offer in response to the yelp review, perhaps more time should be spent on training the employees on good (and expected) customer service. The waiter was super frazzled and didn't know what to do when we showed him the shell pieces. The manager working that night also did not offer to comp our meal which was surprising. Uninspiring evening. Bar was close to full and that was about it. We sat at the bar. The bartender had a challenging time remembering what drinks we ordered - immediately after we ordered them. Ordered $35 sea bass. Came out looking like a thoughtless dish and portion size was the size of my small palm on a large plate. I know it is sea bass, but c'mon, this was an appetizer for one. Each disappointing bite cost $5 and it felt like they got one over on us to spend this much on a dish. Also ordered the lentil dish that was good but needed some pep with spices or maybe a dash of salt. 2 beers, 2 glasses of wine, fish and lentil dish was close to $100. Felt like a wasted evening with a restaurant using reputation over producing memorable food. read more

Was in the area on business and the team of locals suggeste we go here for dinner. We were promptly seated spot on to our reservation time. We were seated on a balcony which overlooked the entire restaurant. We all ordered something different and the portions were so massive. Everyone was to share our dishes with the others at the table. I am boring so ordered the chicken pad Thai, but it was so good. Our waiter was extremely responsive, checking on us every 5 minutes or so. But not too responsive. :-) read more

What a huge disappointment. We made reservations for Christmas Eve but when we we got there they didn't have a table for us. Then another party the same size of ours comes in after us and they sat them right away. After waiting about 30 minutes they crammed a table in between 2 others for us to sit at. We could barely fit and I felt very badly for the other 2 tables. The food took forever and it was way too salty and just not the quality I remember. We should have stuck to our tried and true favorite near our house...even though we would have had to wait (they don't take reservations). So long Wild Ginger... read more
