Excellent pizza. The chickpea flour crust is thin and perfectly crispy but pliable. We had both the Pear Gorgonzola and the Spicy Prosciutto personal pizzas at our table and each was phenomenal. As a group of 5 we came for happy hour and were pleased with the wine selection offered at 2 for 1, and the craft beers for $5. The outdoor seating on a summer day and attentive, helpful and friendly service cannot be beat. 2 personal pizzas ($14 each) were the perfect size to have as snacks while drinking our wines and beers. All told we were extremely satisfied with an indulgent and tasteful experience for a very reasonable price. My friend and I went to Wild for dinner tonight and we had a nice time! Weather was beautiful so we sat outdoors. I'm on a very "clean" nutrition plan and the menu had a ton of fabulous options. My friend had Salmon. I had Chicken Parm over Zoodles (zucchini noodles) and was very impressed with the taste of the sauce and the dish overall. The Zoodles were cooked to perfection and not mushy at all. We finished by sharing the gluten-free vanilla coconut cake. It was so good! Our waiter was attentive and funny. The price was also good; roughly $30. We had a great time and there are a lot of other items on the menu that I look forward to trying on future visits. I enjoy the food here however it's often too sceney, crowded or generally uncomfortable to eat in house. Additionally, service can be inconsistent and prices high. Thankfully they do takeout well. This place is great if you're watching your diet and particularly excellent if you are gluten-free. Tasty salads and specials, excellent GF pizzas and zucchini pasta w/ tons of purple onion. I regularly go to wild for brunch/lunch/dinner and figured I should do a review. I am celiac and eating at Wild is so great - I don't have to worry about anything because menu is 100% gf. Everything is good but some favorites: the pizzas, the chicken soup, the mushroom omelet, and the cocktails. The waitstaff are super friendly and even when it's full there's rarely a long wait, plus they'll work to figure out somewhere for you to sit. They were out of a few items but I was their first guest of the day and they made up for it. I love their Wild Fennel & Arugula salad, several of the pizza & pasta dishes. We were told 20 minute wait for a table and waited 45... no big deal as we grabbed wine at the bar. Finally, we were sat outside for dinner in the beautiful sunshine, until the sun set and the temperature abruptly dropped 10 degrees. Ordered our food around 8pm and continued chatting and sipping wine. Forty minutes later, asked our waiter about the status of our food. And then asked again a few minutes later. And again. The servers brought out a new bottle of wine as an "apology", while not offering any explanation about where our food was. We told the waiter we had been waiting an hour for our food and were told "actually.. it's been 45 minutes." I have never waited that long for food anywhere in NYC. I always wait until I've been twice to review and it only took me two weeks to do that with Wild as I came back the next time I was in the area! I live in Brooklyn but would totally travel for their delicious pizza which I can eat and eat to my heart's content without feeling overly full or greased-out! Yes the wait exists, but that means they are actualy taking time to prepare your food and you can really taste the difference! YUM. The setting is so cute, perfect for a date or catching up with friends, and the wine selection is delish (Though I would love to see some cheaper bottles ;)) both reds we tried were great and the server gave awesome recommendations to go with the pizza we were having. Excellent service! Dance music and a very nice ambiance. We went there because of the reviews about "Delicious thin crust pizza". We odered the Pear and blue cheese pizza and the Mushroom with tuffle puree and chicken, they were both great. We also had an excellent cocktail (rose, blueberry and prosecco). The only dissapointmebt was dessert (cheesecake covered on chocolate and nuts), the cheesecake was a little dry. We absolutely recommend this place, just try a different dessert ;) read more

I usually only write reviews when a place is fantastic or awful, and feel the need to let other customers know. I was so excited about this, but had an awful experience at their "Pizza Making Cooking Class." I've called the manager several times, and have also emailed, but no one will call me or email me back - which is surprising and unprofessional. I bought 2 cooking classes to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday. It wasn't a "real" cooking class, it felt like a complete scam. We were seated at a booth with dough spread out in front of us. There was no one else in the "class." No one greeted us or came by for drink orders, even though there were only 6 customers in the restaurant. After 20 minutes, I got up to ask if we could order drinks. Every single time we wanted to order wine that evening, I had to get up and go find someone (no one once came over to our table except to give the bill). They brought out appetizers out together, even though we said we'd like them throughout the experience. The appetizers were not the ones we had been promised (in writing) when signing up for the class. These appetizers felt like a 5-year old threw cheese onto gross Tostitos and put it in the microwave. Neither of us could eat them even though we were starving. At this point, we were still trying to be positive about the experience and enjoy our night. During the "class," we were not taught any skills or recipes. They brought over bowls of toppings and told us to place what we wanted on the pizza. Then they took the pizza in the back and cooked it for us. My boyfriend wanted prosciutto on his, and they said they'd do it in the back. I said I was vegetarian so no meat please. When they brought back the cooked pizzas, they had put prosciutto on my pizza, so I couldn't even eat it. At first, the chef said I was wrong and they put it on the right pizza and argued with me. When he noticed I was clearly right, he then yells "Well it's only been on a few minutes, just take it off!! It's not a big deal." That was completely inappropriate customer-service, especially when they had made a huge error, and I couldn't eat the pizza I paid over a $100 for. We left extremely upset and grabbed sandwiches nearby. My boyfriend ate my pizza even though it wasn't the toppings he chose or liked. His pizza was awful, super doughy, wasn't cooked, and he could've found better pizza at a stand on the street. I've tried reaching out for a refund, or at least acknowledgement or apology from the manager, but it's 5 weeks later and no one will respond. So if you're thinking about the cooking class, or even going to Wild, please know what you're getting into. I'd go anywhere else than this place. read more

I took my sister here for her birthday, having heard how great their gluten free pizza is (and we are both celiac's). I think there must be a subset of humanity, that still thinks the flavored cardboard of the 1990's health craze is the epitome of haute cuisine... To them, I implore: Please stop writing restaurant reviews. Those of us with taste buds hate being mislead. The staff was nice, and service was quick. The burrata appetizer was fine, but served on a hunk of unappealing gluten free toast - and there wasn't any seasoning. Yes, many seasonings use gluten as a filler, but you can find great ones that don't - there is not excuse to NOT season food. We ordered the truffle and mushroom pizza to split, and ended up picking the toppings off. Pizza was soggy, and tasted like sawdust. The mushrooms were... well they were fine, they were plain cooked mushrooms, and the cheese seemed to be good quality (i.e. not string cheese or bagged mozzarella). The "truffle" on the pizza was truffle oil (I didn't actually expect real truffles given the price point) - so while you got the unmistakable scent of truffles, the flavor was fairly one dimensional, and lacked that earthy layered flavor that a real truffle provides. Since it was my sister's b-day, we also ordered a few of the specialty cocktails. Ick. One was a twist on a mojito, but ended up being muddled cucumber paste with extra fruit and not a lot of booze, and the other one was basically the same thing, but with some berries mushed in for good measure. Both drinks resulted in gobs of muddled fruit in your mouth, with little flavor, and an undetectable amount of liquor. Honestly, not going to go back to Wild. And if you want REALLY good gluten free pizza, go to Pizza Beach on the Upper East Side. Quality ingredients, great flavor combo's, and a delicious, flaky, chewy crust. read more

I am a gluten free guy, so have eaten at a ton of gluten free places. The pizza here was the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. I was there with about 14 other people, which was a blast. We were strolling around on a Saturday morning around 11am, trying to decide where to have lunch and came upon this place. I was apprehensive because it wasn't crowded but we went with it. My boyfriend ordered a delicious mushroom pizza with egg- EGGCEPTIONAL!!!!!!! I was envious, as my eggs benedict was not nearly as good as his. For the price, we were very pleased, and it was probably the most inexpensive brunch we have ever had. I will definitely go back for the pizza and arugula salad. Where do I start? The food here is simply AMAZING. The pizza is a 10, I also had a side of Kale (another 10), The salmon dish (10), and a mushroom dish that honestly tasted better than any mushroom dish I had ever had. I went to eat here with a friend as I don't eat meat and they have a new fan. I am giving it 5 stars because when you go to a small cozy restaurant you expect the food to be good, but not as good as some of the fancy high priced restaurants you might know. This is as good at very reasonable prices.
